Description
(現在市販されている一般的なEDFのモードフィールド径の範囲は5μm乃至8μmereの濃度は100ppm乃至1500ppmのものがある。ファイバ長については増幅器で増幅する利得と濃度に対応させて長さを調整するので、1m乃至数10kmまでまちまちで有る。) なお、ファイバ長は反転分布率による単位長さ当たりの使用波長帯域の利得と、得ようする利得によりファイバ長を調整して対応する。
L-band光増幅器60,C-band光増幅器61,S-band光増幅器62にそれぞれ入力され光増幅が行なわれる。

Claims (4)
- 光を増幅するための光増幅媒体と、
該光増幅媒体に少なくとも1つの利得ピークを生じるよう励起する励起手段と、
該光増幅媒体全体に該光増幅媒体の利得を等化するグレーティングフィルタと、を設け、
該グレーティングフィルタは該光増幅媒体の利得が最大とならない光波長領域に利得を生じさせるよう等化することを特徴とする光増幅器。 - 該光増幅媒体の入力と出力をモニタし励起手段にフィードバックを掛け、該光増幅媒体の利得を一定に制御することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光増幅器。
- 該グレーティングフィルタは長周期グレーティングであり、該光増幅媒体に共振器が構成されたとしてもこの共振を抑制すること特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の光増幅器。
- 該光増幅媒体は励起により媒体中で誘導放出を起こす光増幅器であること特徴とする請求項1乃至3記載の光増幅器。
