Description
本件出願は、参照により本明細書に援用される、2004年6月10日出願の米国特許出願第10/865,112号明細書の優先権を主張するものである。
a.ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を提供する工程と、
b.好ましくは、すべての重量パーセントが繊維の重量を基準にして、約2:1〜約40:1の水:繊維比を提供して形成するために十分な量の水入りの、ベンゾトリアジン誘導体UV吸収剤を含む水溶液を含有する染浴を提供する工程と
c.染浴のpHを約4〜約6に調整する工程と、
d.染浴を(好ましくは少なくとも約1℃毎分の速度で)約105〜約145℃の温度に加熱する工程と、
e.ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を染浴に浸漬する工程と、
f.染浴温度を少なくとも約30分間(好ましくは145分間以下)維持して染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を生成する工程と、
g.染浴を放冷する工程と、
h.染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維をリンスする工程と
を含む、染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維の製造方法である。
a.ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を提供する工程と、
b.水性媒体中室温で、すべての重量パーセントが繊維の重量を基準にして、約0.5重量パーセントのアルコールエトキシレート界面活性剤、約0.25重量パーセントの金属イオン封鎖剤、3重量パーセントのベンゾトリアジン誘導体UV吸収剤、0.5重量パーセントの分散染料、および約2:1〜約40:1の水:繊維比を提供するために十分な水を組み合わせて染浴を形成する工程と、
c.染浴のpHを約4〜約5に調整する工程と、
d.染浴を少なくとも約1℃毎分の速度で132〜145℃の温度に加熱する工程と、
e.ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を染浴に浸漬する工程と、
f.染浴温度を少なくとも約30分間維持して染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を生成する工程と、
g.染浴を放冷する工程と、
h.染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維をリンスする工程と
を含む。
次の実施例で報告されるポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)糸のテナシティは、Instron Corp.引張試験機モデルNo.1122を用いて測定した。テナシティはASTM(米国材料試験協会)D−2256に従って測定した。
キセノン耐光堅牢度試験は、AATCC方法16−1998およびブルーウール耐光堅牢度標準L−4(ロット5)の確立された試験手順に従って「Atlas」ウェザロメーター(Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC,4114 N.Ravenswood Ave.,Chicago,IL 60613)を用いて行った。
Sorona(登録商標)PTTの糸の引張特性への紫外光への長時間露光の影響を試験した。ベースライン・テナシティはSorona(登録商標)PTTのテクスチャー加工糸の「模擬染色した」ニットチューブについての測定値から得た。「模擬染色」は、着色染料以外の染浴の全成分が使用され、そして温度、圧力などをはじめとする、染色法の工程のすべてが含まれることを意味する。模擬染色は、ポリマーの強度保持試験のためのベースラインを提供するために用いられる。報告されるデータは、10の個々のInstron測定値の平均である。
本明細書で使用するすべての原料は商業的に入手可能である。Sorona(登録商標)ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維製の延伸テクスチャー加工糸は米国特許第6,333,106号明細書に記載されたものに類似の方法で製造した。Dacron(登録商標)ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)繊維(PET)はInvista,Inc.(Wilmington,DE.)から入手した。使用した化学試薬は次の通りであった。
試験および対照サンプルのニットチューブを、
・0.50%のSurfactant LF−H(登録商標)界面活性剤
・0.25%のVersene(登録商標)100(金属イオン封鎖剤)
・0.50%のピロリン酸四ナトリウム
を含有する浴中60℃で20分間前洗浄した。
・0.50%の「Surfactant」LF−H
・0.25%の「Versene」100(金属イオン封鎖剤)
・3.00%の「Cibafast」USM(UV吸収剤)
・分散染料(量および染料は表1に示す)
・pHを4.50〜4.75に調整するために必要とされるような酢酸
を含有する染浴を室温で容器中調製した。
2.0g/lのBurco Reduct T(登録商標)ハイドロサルファイトナトリウムおよび2.0g/lのソーダ灰を含有する後洗浄浴を室温で調製した。温度を2℃毎分で60℃(140°F)に上げた。布を後洗浄浴に浸漬し、60℃で20分間保持し、十分にリンスし、酢酸で6〜7に調整したpHの浴中での最終リンスで中和した。
次に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。
1. ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)、染料、およびベンゾトリアジン誘導体UV吸収剤を含む、試験方法AATCC方法16−1998を用いて488kJ入射UV放射線の露光後に4以上の耐光堅牢度を有する着色繊維。
2. 前記繊維中のポリマーの総量を基準にして、少なくとも80モル%のポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)を含む上記1に記載の着色繊維。
3. 少なくとも70モル%のトリメチレンテレフタレート繰り返し単位を含有するポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)を含む上記1または2に記載の着色繊維。
4. 少なくとも98モル%のトリメチレンテレフタレート繰り返し単位を含有するポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)を含む上記1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
5. 試験方法AATCC方法16−1998を用いて779kJ入射UV放射線への露光後に4以上の耐光堅牢度を有する上記1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
6. 前記染料がCIディスパース・レッド(Disperse Red)86、CIディスパース・レッド91、CIディスパース・レッド161、CIディスパース・レッド279、CIディスパース・イエロー(Disperse Yellow)42、CIディスパース・イエロー96、CIディスパース・イエロー160、CIディスパース・ブルー(Disperse Blue)27、CIディスパース・ブルー60、およびCIディスパース・ブルー77から選択される上記1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
7. 前記繊維の重量を基準にして2〜4重量パーセントのベンゾトリアジン誘導体UV吸収剤を含む上記1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
8. 前記初期テナシティが試験方法AATCC方法16−1998を用いて試験された時に481kJ入射UV放射線での露光後に約10%以下だけ低下する、初期テナシティを有する上記1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
9. 試験方法AATCC方法16−1998を用いて488kJ入射UV放射線の露光後に4〜5の耐光堅牢度を有する上記1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
10. ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)が0.80〜1.5dl/gの固有粘度を有する上記1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の着色繊維。
11. a.ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を提供する工程と、
b.ベンゾトリアジン誘導体UV吸収剤を含有する水溶液を含有する染浴を提供する工程と、
c.前記染浴のpHを約4〜約6に調整する工程と、
d.前記染浴を105〜145℃の温度に加熱する工程と、
e.前記ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を前記染浴に浸漬する工程と、
f.染浴温度を少なくとも約30分間維持して染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を生成する工程と、
g.前記染浴を放冷する工程と、
h.前記染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維をリンスする工程と
を含む、染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維の製造方法。
12. 前記染色された繊維がAATCC方法番号16−1998による448kJ入射UV放射線での露光後に4以上の耐光堅牢度を有する上記11に記載の方法。
13. 前記繊維がAATCC方法番号16−1998を用いて488kJ入射UV放射線での露光後に4〜5の耐光堅牢度を有する上記11〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
14. 前記繊維がある初期テナシティを有し、そして前記初期テナシティがAATCC方法番号16−1998を用いて488kJ入射UV放射線での露光後に約10%以下だけ低下する上記11〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
Claims (1)
- a.ポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を提供する工程と、
b.0.50重量パーセントのアルコールエトキシレート界面活性剤、0.25重量パーセントの金属イオン封鎖剤、3.00重量パーセントのベンゾトリアジン誘導体UV吸収剤、および0.5重量パーセントの分散染料が水性媒体中で室温で組み合わせられて2:1〜40:1の水:繊維比を提供する染浴を提供する工程と、
c.前記染浴のpHを4〜6に調整する工程と、
d.前記繊維と染浴を室温で組み合わせる工程と、
e.前記染浴を少なくとも1℃毎分の加熱速度で132〜145℃の温度に加熱する工程と、
f.染浴温度を少なくとも30分間維持して染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維を生成する工程と、
g.前記染浴を放冷する工程と、
h.前記染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維をリンスする工程と
を含む、染色されたポリ(トリメチレンテレフタレート)繊維の製造方法。
