Description
本発明による液晶表示装置は、一つのピクセルの内に5個のカラー・ドットを有する液晶パネルを駆動するためにデータ・ドライバの出力端子とデータラインとの間の連結関係を従来とは異なったものとして、例えば、従来のデータ・ドライバの出力端子の一部を断 線する等、データ・ドライバの出力端子の個数を従来のデータ・ドライバとは異なるよう にした新しい出力端子構造のデータ・ドライバを使用する。このような新しい出力端子構 造のデータ・ドライバを使用することでドット反転方式の液晶パネルを駆動させ、フリッカ雑音を低減することが可能となる。

Claims (2)
- スイッチング素子を有する第1乃至第5ドット要素を備える第1ピクセルと、
スイッチング素子を有する第6乃至第10ドット要素を備える第2ピクセル、データ・ドライバ及びゲート・ドライバと、
それぞれのスイッチング素子を介して前記データ・ドライバに連結され、前記第1ピクセルに連結された第1ないし第3データラインを具備する第1データライングループと、
それぞれのスイッチング素子を介して前記データ・ドライバに連結され、前記第2ピクセルに連結された第4ないし第6データラインを具備する第2データライングループと、
前記データ・ドライバに連結された第1ないし第3出力端子を具備する第1出力端子グループと、
前記データ・ドライバに連結された第4ないし第6出力端子を具備する第2出力端子グループと、
それぞれのスイッチング素子を介して前記ゲート・ドライバに連結された複数のゲートラインとを具備して;
第1色の前記第1及び第2ドット要素は前記第1データラインに連結されて、第2色の前記第3ドット要素は前記第2データラインに連結されて、第3色の前記第4及び第5ドット要素は前記第3データラインに連結されて、前記第1色の前記第6及び第7ドット要素は前記第4データ・ラインに連結されて、前記第2色の前記8ドット要素は前記第5データラインに連結されて、前記第3色の第9及び第10ドット要素は前記第6データ・ラインに連結されて、前記第1ピクセルの第3ドット要素は前記第2ピクセルの第8ドット要素と連結されり、
前記第1出力端子は、前記第1及び第2ドット要素に連結された前記第1データラインに連結されて、
前記第2出力端子は前記のいずれのデータラインとも連結されず、
前記第3出力端子は、前記第4及び第5ドット要素に連結された前記第3データラインに連結されて、
前記第4出力端子は、前記第6及び第7ドット要素に連結された前記第4データラインに連結されて、
前記第5出力端子は、前記第3ドット要素に連結された前記第2データラインと、前記第8ドット要素に連結された前記第5データラインとに連結されて、
前記第6出力端子は、前記第9及び第10ドット要素に連結された前記第6データラインに連結され、
前記第1色は、赤、青、及び緑のうち何れか一色であり、前記第2色は、赤、青、及び緑から前記第1色を除いた二色のうち何れか一色であり、前記第3色は、赤、青、及び緑から前記第1色及び前記第2色を除いた一色であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1ピクセル及び前記第2ピクセルは、前記ゲートラインの方向に1個ずつまたは2個ずつ交代で配置されて、
前記第1データライングループ及び第2データライングループは、前記ゲートラインの方向に1グループずつまたは2グループずつ交代で配置されて、
前記第1出力端子グループ及び前記第2出力端子グループは、前記ゲートラインの方向に1グループずつまたは2グループずつ交代で配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
