Claims (1)
- 第1クラッチを介してエンジンによって常時回転される回転部材に連結可能とされるとともに、第1ブレーキを介してミッションケースに対して固定可能とされた中間回転部材を備え、
少なくとも前記第1クラッチと前記第1ブレーキからなる複数の摩擦係合要素の係脱により複数段に変速可能とされるとともに、シフトレバーの作動により駆動レンジと非駆動レンジとに切替可能とされる自動変速機において、
前記複数の摩擦係合要素は、前記第1のブレーキとは異なる第2のブレーキをさらに有し、
前記非駆動レンジはニュートラルレンジとされ、
前記駆動レンジは、リバースレンジとされ、
前記ニュートラルレンジにおいて、前記第1ブレーキを係合し、前記中間回転部材を前記ミッションケースに対して固定し、
前記ニュートラルレンジから前記リバースレンジへの切替時において、前記第1のブレーキを解放するとともに、前記第1のクラッチと前記第2のブレーキの係合によりリバースレンジを形成することを特徴とする自動変速機。
