Description
本願は、参照することを以って本明細書組み込まれる、2003年12月18日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/530,565号の優先権を主張するものである。
外科手術では、患者に対する外傷および組織に対する損傷を最小化または軽減するのが好ましい。このため、外科医は、切開部を可能な限り小さく維持しようとする。しかしながら、通常は、外科医が明確な手術野を確保する必要がある。
例えば、外科手術のための作業空間を作り出し、外科手術を行う外科医のために外科手術条件を改善して外科手術を改善する方法および装置をここに開示する。

- 外科用開創器において、
第1のベース要素であって、該第1のベース要素に結合された第1のブレードと該第1のベース要素から延在する第1のコネクタとを有する、第1のベース要素と、
第2のベース要素であって、該第2のベース要素に結合された第2のブレードと該第2のベース要素から延在する第2のコネクタとを有し、該第2のベース要素は前記第1のベース要素に対して移動動作するために前記第1のコネクタに結合されている、第2のベース要素と、
第3のベース要素であって、該第3のベース要素に結合された第3のブレードと該第3のベース要素から延在する第3のコネクタとを有し、該第3のベース要素は前記第2のベース要素に対して移動動作するために前記第2のコネクタに結合されている、第3のベース要素と、
第4のベース要素であって、該第4のベース要素に結合された第4のブレードを有し、該第4のベース要素は前記第3のベース要素に対して移動動作するために前記第3のコネクタに結合されている、第4のベース要素と、
を備え、
前記第1のベース要素、前記第2のベース要素および前記第3のベース要素は、主平面を画定し、前記主平面を通るアクセス口を画定し、アクセス口を通して外科手術が行なわれ得るように構成されている、外科用開創器。 - 請求項1に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のコネクタおよび前記第2のコネクタの少なくとも一つは、前記主平面からずれて湾曲している、外科用開創器。 - 請求項1に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のコネクタおよび前記第2のコネクタアームの各々は、前記主平面からずれて湾曲している、外科用開創器。 - 請求項1に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のブレード、前記第2のブレードおよび前記第3のブレードをそれぞれのベース要素に結合するために、前記第1のベース要素、前記第2のベース要素および前記第3のベース要素の各々にそれぞれ設けられた第1のクリップ、第2のクリップおよび第3のクリップをさらに備える、外科用開創器。 - 請求項1に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のコネクタは前記第1のベース要素に固定され、前記第2のコネクタは前記第2のベース要素に固定されている、外科用開創器。 - 請求項5に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のコネクタに対する前記第2のベース要素の位置を固定する、前記第2のベース要素上の固定機構と、前記第2のコネクタに対する前記第3のベース要素の位置を固定する、前記第3のベース要素上の固定機構とをさらに備える、外科用開創器。 - 請求項6に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のコネクタおよび前記第2のコネクタはラチェットアームであり、前記第2のベース要素上の前記固定機構および前記第3のベース要素上の前記固定機構はそれぞれのラチェットアームに係合するタブを備える、外科用開創器。 - 請求項7に記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第1のコネクタのラチェットアームおよび前記第2のコネクタのラチェットアームは前記第2のベース要素の内部および前記第3のベース要素の内部をそれぞれ通過し、前記固定機構のタブはそれぞれのベース要素の内部で前記ラチェットアームに係合する、外科用開創器。 - 請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の外科用開創器において、
前記第4のベース要素は該第4のベース要素から延在する第4のコネクタを有し、前記第1のベース要素は前記第4のベース要素に対して移動動作するために前記第4のコネクタに結合されている、外科用開創器。
