Description
商業的に購入可能な溶融亜鉛メッキ鋼鉄板(HGI:Hot−dip Galvanized Steel)を用いた。
本発明の溶液の製造は、全体溶液100重量部を基準に純水60重量部とエタノール10重量部の混合物に、エポキシ系シラン化合物として3−グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシランとアミノ系シラン化合物として3−アミノプロピルトリエトキシシランを5〜20重量部添加して加水分解する。そして、有機酸及びリン酸1〜10重量部に金属化合物としてバナジウムアセチルアセトネートと酸化マグネシウムをそれぞれ0.1〜5.0重量部溶解させた後、この溶液をシラン化合物溶液に添加して30分間攪拌する。最後に、ジイソプロピルトリエタノールアミノチタネート0.05〜2重量部と、その他の添加剤である消泡剤としてN−メチルエタノールアミンを0.01〜1重量部、ウェッティング剤としてイソプロピルアルコールを1〜2重量部添加した後、30分間常温で1000rpmの速度で攪拌して製造する。
下記の条件で発明例及び比較例の金属表面処理組成物の性能を評価し、その結果を表3に表した。
ASTM B117に規定した方法により、塗装鋼板の時間経過に伴う白錆の発生率を確認後、耐食性を測定し、次の基準により評価を行った。
良好:24時間後の白錆の発生面積5%未満
不良:24時間後の白錆の発生面積5%以上
ASTM D3359に規定した方法により塗膜を1mmの間隔で横と縦を11ラインずつ引いて100間を作った後、セロハンテープを用いて密着性を測定し、次の基準により評価を行った。
良好:塗膜の残存率95%以上
不良:塗膜の残存率95%未満
防錆コーティング用水性無機系金属表面処理剤の組成物を40℃の恒温装置内に2ヶ月間貯蔵した後の組成物の粘度上昇、ゲル化及び沈殿の状態を観察し、次の基準により評価を行った。
×:組成物の粘度上昇、ゲル化及び沈殿などの変化が認められる。
製造された溶液とCr溶液を1:1に混合し、24時間放置した後、溶液の状態を肉眼で調査した。
×:組成物の粘度上昇、ゲル化及び沈殿などの変化が認められる。
上記表3のように発明例1乃至6の組成物は全体的に優れた物性を確保し、比較例の場合耐食性が何れも不良という結果を示した。比較例4乃至7の場合、耐食性の確保のためには実際の塗膜の厚さを0.5μm以上に塗布しなければならないが、発明例の場合、0.1μm以上から安定した耐食性を得ることが出来る。そして、現在、クロムを含有しない設備においてクロムを含有する表面処理鋼板と共に生産が行われるべきであるため、Crとの反応性があってはならないという特徴を有する。ところが、比較例の場合Cr溶液の混入時にゲル化が発生して設備の故障を引き起こすことがある。
Claims (11)
- 全体溶液100重量部を基準に、エポキシ基を有するシラン化合物及びアミノ基を有するシラン化合物またはこれらの加水分解縮合物5〜30重量部と、バナジウム化合物0.1〜5重量部と、マグネシウム化合物0.1〜5重量部と、有/無機酸1〜10重量部と、ジイソプロピルジトリエタノールアミノチタネートの架橋促進及びカップリング剤0.05〜2重量部と、消泡剤0.01〜1重量部と、ウェッティング剤1〜2重量部と、残りは水とエタノールからなるクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記シラン化合物としてはビニルメトキシシラン、ビニルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルエポキシシラン、ビニルトリエポキシシラン、3−アミノプロピルトリエポキシシラン、3−グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3−メタグリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3−メルカプトプロピルトリメトキシシラン、N−(1,3−ジメチルブチリデン)−3−(トリエポキシシラン)−1−プロパンアミン、N,N−ビス[3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピル]エチレンジアミン、N−(β−アミノエチル)−γ−アミノプロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、N−(β−アミノエチル)−γ−アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、γ−グリシドキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン、γ−グリシドキシトリメチルジメトキシシラン、2−(3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシル)エチルトリメトキシシラン、γ−メタクリルオキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、γ−メタクリルオキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン、γ−メルカプトプロピルトリメトキシシラン、γ−メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン、及びN−[2−(ビニルベンジルアミノ)エチル]−3−アミノプロピルトリメトキシシランで構成されるグループから選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記有/無機酸は、蟻酸、エチレンジアミンテトラアセト酸またはリン酸であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記バナジウム化合物は、バナジウムの酸化数が2〜5価であるバナジウム化合物で、前記マグネシウム化合物は硫酸マグネシウム、硝酸マグネシウム及び酸化マグネシウムで構成されるグループから選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記バナジウム化合物は、5酸化バナジウム、3酸化バナジウム、2酸化バナジウム、バナジウムオキシアセチルアセトネート、バナジウムアセチルアセトネート、3塩化バナジウム、一酸化バナジウム及びメタバナド酸アンモニウムで構成されるグループから選択されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記消泡剤は、N−メチルエタノールアミンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記ウェッティング剤は、イソプロピルアルコールであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 前記金属表面処理組成物のpHは3〜7であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物。
- 請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項によるクロムフリー低温硬化型金属表面処理組成物がコーティングされた鋼板。
- 前記金属表面処理組成物のコーティング温度は30〜250℃であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の鋼板。
- 前記金属表面処理組成物のコーティング乾燥塗膜は0.05〜1.0g/m2であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の鋼板。
