Description
本発明者等は、無害化工程を経て製造されるリサイクル材(実施例)と、従来の無害化工程を経ないリサイクル材(比較例)双方の試験片であって、カーボン添加量(炭素繊維含有量)を変化させた場合の試験片を用意し、それぞれの引張強度を測定した。その結果を図6に示す。
また、本発明者等は、実施例と比較例とで双方の熱変形温度、すなわち耐熱性の比較実験をおこなった。なお、この実験においてもカーボン含有量を変化させて試験片を作成している。その結果を図7に示す。
Claims (4)
- 炭素繊維と熱硬化性樹脂とからなる繊維強化プラスチックのリサイクル方法であって、
前記繊維強化プラスチックを熱処理して熱硬化性樹脂を燃焼させて無害化材を製造する第1の工程と、
前記無害化材にサイジング剤を塗布もしくは散布し、次いで、無害化材と熱可塑性樹脂を混練しながら無害化材を構成する炭素繊維を粉砕して短繊維の炭素繊維を有するリサイクル材を製造する第2の工程と、
前記第2の工程にて製造されたリサイクル材をクーリングし、次いでクーリングされたリサイクル材をペレタイズする第3の工程と、からなる繊維強化プラスチックのリサイクル方法。 - 前記第2の工程において、無害化材を短冊状に裁断し、少なくとも該無害化材の厚み以上の幅を有する投入ホッパーを介して無害化材が押出し機に投入され、押出し機に熱可塑性樹脂が投入されて無害化材と熱可塑性樹脂が混練されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の繊維強化プラスチックのリサイクル方法。
- 前記第1の工程における燃焼温度は、熱硬化性樹脂を燃焼させて無害化するとともに、炭素繊維を損傷させない温度条件であって、500〜900℃の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の繊維強化プラスチックのリサイクル方法。
- 請求項3に記載の繊維強化プラスチックのリサイクル方法において、
前記繊維強化プラスチックの燃焼時間範囲は、1〜240分の範囲であることを特徴とする繊維強化プラスチックのリサイクル方法。
