Claims (7)
- 複数の導線(110)を有した終端部(108)を有する電線(106)と、中心線(160)及び該中心線から互いに逆向きに延びる第1側壁(124)及び第2側壁(126)を有する圧着コンタクト(105)とを具備するケーブル組立体(100)であって、
前記複数の導線は少なくとも1本の露出した導線を含み、
前記中心線は、前記圧着コンタクトの縦軸(190)と平行に延び、
前記第1側壁及び前記第2側壁の各々は、基部(132,142)及び脚部(134,144)を有し、
前記脚部は、前記中心線から前記脚部の縦縁まで横に延び、
前記基部は、前記中心線から前記基部の縦縁まで横に延び、
前記脚部の横方向の距離は、前記第1側壁及び前記第2側壁の各々について前記基部の横方向の距離より長く、
前記第1側壁の前記脚部は、前記第2側壁の前記基部の反対側に配置され、
前記第2側壁の前記脚部は、前記第1側壁の前記基部の反対側に配置され、
前記第1側壁及び前記第2側壁は、前記複数の導線を取り囲み、
前記第1側壁の前記脚部及び前記第2側壁の前記脚部の各々は、前記複数の導線の一部である少なくとも1本の共通の前記導線と係合することを特徴とするケーブル組立体。 - 前記第1側壁の前記脚部は、前記第2側壁の前記基部と接触し、
前記第2側壁の前記脚部は、前記第1側壁の前記基部と接触することを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル組立体。 - 一方の前記側壁の前記脚部は、該脚部の外部表面が前記基部と接触するように、他方の前記側壁の前記基部の下に折り返されることを特徴とする請求項2記載のケーブル組立体。
- 一方の前記側壁の前記脚部の縦縁は、他方の前記側壁の前記基部の縦縁と接触すること
を特徴とする請求項2記載のケーブル組立体。 - 前記ケーブル組立体はさらに相手コンタクト(112)を具備し、
前記圧着コンタクトは、先端縁(116)及び前記電線近傍に位置する後端縁(118)間を縦に延び、
前記相手コンタクトは、前記圧着コンタクトの前記先端縁で前記圧着コンタクトに機械的及び電気的に結合されることを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル組立体。 - 前記複数の導線は、前記圧着コンタクトが該圧着コンタクトの先端縁から前記電線まで延びるにつれて変化する、前記圧着コンタクト内の導体密度又は導体分布を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル組立体。
- 前記第1側壁及び前記第2側壁の前記脚部の各々は、異なる配置の前記複数の導線を取り囲むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のケーブル組立体。
