Abstract
Description
これにより、内燃機関の振動によってカバー部材が振動することを抑制でき、駆動装置の支持剛性を向上させて駆動装置が振動することを抑制できる。
図1から図6は、本発明に係る一実施例の内燃機関のカバー構造を示す図である。図1から図6において、上下前後左右方向は、車両の進行する方向を前、後退する方向を後とした場合に、車両の幅方向が左右方向、車両の高さ方向が上下方向である。
図1において、車両1は、左サイドメンバ2Lおよび右サイドメンバ2Rを備えている。左サイドメンバ2Lおよび右サイドメンバ2Rは、車両1の幅方向(以下、車幅方向という)に離隔して前後方向に延びている。
Claims (6)
- クランクシャフト、カムシャフトおよび前記クランクシャフトに対する前記カムシャフトの相対回転位相を変更する可変動弁機構を有するエンジン本体と、前記エンジン本体の端部に取付けられたカバー部材とを備え、
前記カバー部材が、前記エンジン本体の前記端部を覆うカバー部と、前記カバー部の幅方向両側に設けられ、前記エンジン本体の前記端部に締結される第1の側壁部および第2の側壁部と、前記カバー部に形成され、前記可変動弁機構を駆動する駆動装置が取付けられる開口部とを有する内燃機関のカバー構造であって、
前記カバー部材は、
前記カバー部から前記エンジン本体に向かって延び、前記エンジン本体に接合されるボス部と、前記ボス部から前記カバー部の幅方向と異なる方向に延びるように前記カバー部に設けられ、前記第1の側壁部および前記第2の側壁部と異なる位置に設けられた前記カバー部の第3の側壁部に連結される第1の補強部と、前記ボス部から前記カバー部の幅方向に延びるように前記カバー部に設けられ、前記第1の側壁部に連結される第2の補強部とを有し、
前記開口部は、前記ボス部と前記第1の補強部と前記第3の側壁部と前記第1の側壁部と前記第2の補強部とによって囲まれていることを特徴とする内燃機関のカバー構造。 - 前記開口部の周囲の前記カバー部に、前記駆動装置の取付面を構成する外周縁部が設けられており、
前記外周縁部は、前記第1の補強部および前記第2の補強部の少なくとも一方に連結されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関のカバー構造。 - 前記開口部の周囲の前記カバー部に、前記駆動装置を締結具によって前記カバー部に締結する締結部が設けられており、
前記締結部は、前記第1の補強部および前記第2の補強部の少なくとも一方に連結されていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の内燃機関のカバー構造。 - 前記カバー部は、前記第2の補強部が延びる方向に沿って延び、オイル通路を有する筒状のオイル通路部と、前記カバー部から前記エンジン本体と反対方向に膨出し、前記エンジン本体にオイルを供給する油圧制御弁が挿入されるシリンダ部とを備えており、
前記ボス部は、前記オイル通路を流れるオイルを前記エンジン本体に導入するオイル導入用のボス部を含んで構成されており、
前記オイル通路部は、前記オイル導入用のボス部と前記第1の側壁部とを連結しており、
前記シリンダ部は、前記第2の補強部の延びる方向に沿って延びており、
前記第2の補強部は、前記シリンダ部を介して前記オイル通路部に連結されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関のカバー構造。 - 前記可変動弁機構は、前記駆動装置によって駆動される電動式の可変動弁機構と、オイルによって駆動される油圧式の可変動弁機構とを有し、
前記ボス部は、前記カバー部材を前記エンジン本体に締結する締結部材が取付けられる締結用のボス部と、前記油圧制御弁によって制御されたオイルを前記油圧式の可変動弁機構に供給する制御用のボス部とを含んで構成されており、
前記制御用のボス部は、前記締結用のボス部と前記オイル導入用のボス部の間に位置して前記締結用のボス部と前記オイル導入用のボス部とに連結されており、
前記制御用のボス部は、前記締結用のボス部の外縁部よりも前記第1の側壁部側に突出しており、
前記第2の補強部の延びる方向の端部は、前記締結用のボス部と前記制御用のボス部に連結されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃機関のカバー構造。 - 前記制御用のボス部は、前記第2の補強部と前記オイル通路部との間に入り込むように設けられ、前記第2の補強部と前記オイル通路部に連結されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の内燃機関のカバー構造。
