Abstract
Description
いくつかの実施形態において、ガラス表面の酸エッチング(ステップ105)によって、ガラスシートのそれぞれの表面において、欠陥の数、径および重大度を低減させることができる。表面欠陥は、ガラスシートにおいて破断部位として作用する。これらの表面で欠陥の数、径および重大度を低減させることによって、これらの表面における潜在的破断開始部位の径を除去または最小化することができ、それによって、それぞれのガラスシートの表面が強化される。酸エッチング表面処理の使用は、ガラスシートの1つの表面を酸ガラスエッチング媒体と接触させるステップを含むことができ、および用途が広く、ほとんどのガラスに容易に調整され、かつ平面および複雑なカバーグラスシート幾何学的配列に容易に適用することができる。さらに例示的な酸エッチングは、製造の間、または製造後処理の間に導入される表面欠陥がほとんどないと従来は考えられていたアップドローまたはダウンドロー(例えば、フュージョンドロー)ガラスシートを含む表面欠陥の低い発生率を有するガラスでさえ、強度可変性を減少させるために有効であることが発見された。例示的な酸処理ステップは、径を変更することができ、表面欠陥の幾何学的配列を変更することができ、および/または表面欠陥の径および数を低減させることができるが、処理された表面の一般的なトポグラフィーに対する最小限の影響を有する、ガラス表面の化学研磨を提供することができる。一般には、酸エッチング処理は、表面ガラスの約4μm以下、またはいくつかの実施形態において、表面ガラスの約2μm以下、または表面ガラスの約1μm以下を除去するために利用することができる。酸エッチング処理は、それぞれの表面をいずれかの新しい欠陥の形成から保護するためのラミネーションの前に有利に実行することができる。

上記の表Aで提供される値は、本開示の実施形態によるラミネート構造を評価するためのベンチマークとして使用された。以下に提供される表Bは、実験で使用される様々な材料の機械特性を示す。

図4は、ポリカーボネート厚さ対ガラス厚さのプロットである。図4に関して、合わせガラスパネルのガラス厚さ対ポリカーボネート厚さのプロットによって、上記の圧力および支持/負荷条件に関して、5.0mmのモノリスガラスと同じ、5.4mmに等しい撓みを有することが例示される。曲線は、外部の化学的に強化されたガラス層の厚さが変更された場合に、5.4mmの撓みを達成するために必要な例示的な剛性またはポリカーボネートコアの厚さを一般に例示する。したがって、本開示の実施形態の外部ガラス層の厚さが減少する場合、剛性コア、例えば、ポリカーボネートの厚さは、5mmのモノリシック構造と同一の撓みを達成するために増加させなければならない。
HALSの商業的に入手可能な例は、TINUVIN(商標)622(Ciba Specialty Chemicals,Inc.,Basel Switzerland)、TINUVIN(商標)770(Ciba Specialty Chemicals,Inc.,Basel Switzerland)、CYASORB(商標)UV−3529(Cytec)、CYASORB(商標)UV−3631(Cytec)、CYASORB(商標)UV−3346(Cytec)、CYASORB(商標)UV−4593(Cytec)、UVINUL(商標)5050H(BASF)、およびSANDUVOR(商標)3058(Clariant)である。
RcおよびRdは、一緒になって、C3〜20環式アルキレン基、または炭素原子および2以上の原子価を有するヘテロ原子を含むヘテロ原子含有C3〜20環式アルキレン基を表すことができる。これらの基は、単一飽和または不飽和環の形態であることができるか、あるいは縮合環が飽和、不飽和、または芳香族である縮合多環式環系であることができる。特定のヘテロ原子含有環式アルキレン基は、2以上の原子価を有する少なくとも1個のヘテロ原子および少なくとも2個の炭素原子を含む。ヘテロ原子含有環式アルキレン基中の例示的なヘテロ原子としては、−O−、−S−および−N(Z)−が含まれ、Zは、水素、ヒドロキシ、C1〜12アルキル、C1〜12アルコキシ、またはC1〜12アシルから選択される置換基である。
表2に示すように、硬化されたガラス層、TPUまたはHALSを含まないEVA中間層、およびポリカーボネートポリマー層を有する両面多層物品を調製し、連邦航空規定(Federal Aviation Regulations)の順守に関して試験した。
片面多層物品(実施例7〜8)および両面多層物品(実施例9〜11)を調製し、連邦鉄道規定(Federal Railway Regulations)による弾道およびブロック試験の順守に関して試験し、これを表3に示す。
表4に示すように、硬化されたガラス層、TPUまたはHALSを含まないEVA中間層、ならびにポリカーボネートポリマーおよびコポリマー層を有する両面多層物品を調製し、欧州可燃性規定の順守に関して試験した。
表5に示すように、硬化されたガラス層、HALSを含まないEVA中間層、ならびにポリカーボネートポリマーおよびコポリマー層を有する両面多層物品27〜37を調製し、英国可燃性規定の順守に関して試験した。
有限要素解析を使用してシミュレーションを実行した。シミュレーションにおいて、表6および7に示すように、硬化されたガラス層、ポリマー層にガラス層を完全に結合する中間層、およびポリカーボネートポリマー層を有する二重ペインの片面および両面多層物品を撓みに関してシミュレーションし、試験した。実施例38〜40および44〜45は、図11と同様の両面二重ペイン実施例であり、第1のポリマー層を含むペイン4は外側ペインであり、および第2のポリマー層を含むペイン104は内側ペインである。実施例41〜43および46〜47は、図10と同様の片面二重ペイン実施例であり、第1のポリマー層を含むペイン2は外側ペインであり、および第2のポリマー層を含むペイン102は内側ペインである。
硬化されたガラス層、HALSを含まないEVA中間層、ならびにポリカーボネートポリマーおよびコポリマー層を有する両面多層物品48〜56を調製し、FAR 25.853(d)Appendix F,Part IVの順守に関して試験し、Ohio State University熱量計を使用して決定した。「合格」するために、物品は、Ohio State University熱量計を使用して決定され、OSU 65/65(2分/ピーク)として略される、1平方メートルあたり65キロワット−分(kW−分/m2)以下の2分の積分発熱率、および1平方メートルあたり65キロワット(kW/m2)未満のピーク発熱率を有さなければならない。より厳しい試験に「合格」するために、物品は、55kW−分/m2以下の2分の積分発熱率および55kW/m2未満のピーク発熱率(OSU 55/55として略される)を有さなければならない。
Claims (13)
- 第1のガラス層と;
第2のガラス層と;
前記第1および第2のガラス層の中間に介在するポリマー中間層構造と
を備えたラミネート構造において、
前記ポリマー中間層構造が、
前記第1のガラス層に隣接する第1のポリマー層と、
前記第2のガラス層に隣接する第2のポリマー層と、
前記第1および第2のポリマー層の中間に介在するポリマーコアであって、ポリシロキサン、ポリエステル、ポリカーボネート、前記1種以上を含むコポリマーおよびそれらの組合せの1種以上を含むポリマーコアと
から構成され、
前記第1のガラス層が強化ガラスから構成され、
前記第1および前記第2のガラス層の厚さが異なり、
前記第1のガラス層の厚さが、1.0mm以下の厚さであり、かつ、前記第1のガラス層が、約400MPa〜約900MPaの表面圧縮応力、および約30マイクロメートル以上の圧縮応力層深さを有することを特徴とする、ラミネート構造。 - 前記第1のガラス層の前記強化ガラスは、化学的に強化されたガラスまたは熱的に強化されたガラスであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記第2のガラス層は強化ガラスから構成され、前記第2のガラス層の前記強化ガラスは、化学的に強化されたガラスまたは熱的に強化されたガラスであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記第1および前記第2のガラス層の1又はそれ以上の表面は、化学的にエッチングされていることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記第2のガラス層の厚さが、1.5mm以下の厚さ、1.0mm以下の厚さ、0.7mm以下の厚さ、0.5mm以下の厚さ、約0.1mm〜約1.0mmの範囲内の厚さ、約0.5mm〜約1.0mmの厚さ、約0.5mm〜約0.7mmの厚さからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記第1および前記第2のガラス層の厚さが、約0.1mm〜約0.8mmの範囲内の厚さ、約0.1mm〜約0.5mmの厚さ、約0.1mm〜約0.3mmの厚さからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記コアの厚さが、約2.0mm〜約10.0mmの範囲内の厚さ、約2.0mm〜約8.0mmの厚さ、約2.0mm〜約5.0mmの厚さ、約2.0mm〜約3.8mmの厚さからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記第1および前記第2のガラス層の組成が異なるか、または前記第1および第2のポリマー層の組成が異なるか、または両方であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記第2のガラス層が、約400MPa〜約900MPaの表面圧縮応力、および約30マイクロメートル以上の圧縮応力層深さを有することを特徴とする、請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記コアの厚さが、前記第1のガラス層の厚さの関数、前記第2のガラス層の厚さの関数、または前記第1及び第2のガラス層の厚さの両方の関数である請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
- 前記コアが、
a.)次式:
b.)50〜100モルパーセントのアリレートエステル単位、50モルパーセント未満の芳香族カーボネート単位、30モルパーセント未満のレゾルシノールカーボネート単位、および35モルパーセント未満のビスフェノールカーボネート単位からなるアリレート含有単位と

前記ポリシロキサン単位のうちの前記シロキサン単位が、ポリシロキサンコポリマー組成物において、前記ポリシロキサンコポリマー組成物の重量に基づき、0.2〜10重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1記載のラミネート構造。 - 前記コアが、少なくとも1種のジヒドロキシ芳香族含有ポリカーボネート単位、および次式:
2,2 '、6,6'‐テトラブロモ‐4,4'‐イソプロピリデンジフェノールから誘導される臭素化カーボネート単位、及び2,2'、6,6 '‐テトラブロモ‐4,4'‐イソプロピリデンジフェノールではない、少なくとも1種のジヒドロキシ芳香族化合物から誘導されるカーボネート単位と、を含む第2のポリカーボネートと、
選択的に、ポリシロキサン - ポリカーボネートコポリマーおよび第2のポリカーボネートとは異なる第3のポリカーボネートと、含み、
前記ポリシロキサン - ポリカーボネートコポリマー、前記第2のポリカーボネート、および任意の前記第3のポリカーボネートの重量%は合計で100重量%であり、

前記第1のポリマー、前記第2のポリマー、および任意の1つ又はそれ以上の前記第3のポリマーの重量%は合計で100重量%であり、前記シロキサン単位が、前記第1、第2、および任意の1つ又はそれ以上の第3のポリマーの重量%の合計に対して、少なくとも0.3重量%の量で組成物中に存在し、臭素が、前記第1、第2、および任意の1つ又はそれ以上の第3のポリマーの重量%の合計に対して、少なくとも7.8重量%の量で組成物中に存在する、ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のラミネート構造。
