Abstract
Description
前記活物質層同士の間に介在するセパレータと、を有し、
前記セパレータは前記活物質層側に突出した突出部を有しており、
前記活物質層は前記セパレータの前記突出部を受け入れる受け入れ部を有しており、
前記突出部は前記受け入れ部に進入した状態で前記受け入れ部に係合されている、アルカリ蓄電池にある。
前記箔電極と前記セパレータとを交互に積層して電極組立体を作製するとともに、前記箔電極と前記セパレータとに電解液を含浸させる積層工程と、
前記電極組立体を、その積層方向に圧縮することにより、前記セパレータの一部を前記活物質層に圧入して前記突出部と前記受け入れ部とを係合させる圧縮工程と、を有するアルカリ蓄電池の製造方法にある。

前記箔電極と前記セパレータとを交互に積層して電極組立体を作製するとともに、前記箔電極と前記セパレータとに電解液を含浸させる積層工程と、
前記電極組立体を、その積層方向に圧縮することにより、前記セパレータの一部を前記活物質層に圧入して前記突出部と前記受け入れ部とを係合させる圧縮工程と、を有する、アルカリ蓄電池の製造方法を採用することができる。

本例は、予め突出部43が形成されたセパレータ402の例である。なお、本例において用いる符号のうち、既出の例における符号と同一のものは、特に説明のない限り既出の例における構成要素等と同一の構成要素等を示す。
本例は、正極活物質粒子32pの累積50%粒径、セパレータ4の平均孔径及び平均繊維径を種々変更したアルカリ蓄電池1の例である。本例においては、表1に示す正極活物質粒子32pの累積50%粒径、セパレータ4の平均孔径及び平均繊維径を備えたアルカリ蓄電池1(試験体A1〜A5)を作製した。

Claims (7)
- 金属箔と、前記金属箔の片面上または両面上に配置された活物質層と、を備え、前記活物質層同士が互いに対向するように配置された複数の箔電極と、
前記活物質層同士の間に介在するセパレータと、を有し、
前記セパレータは前記活物質層側に突出した突出部を有しており、
前記活物質層は前記セパレータの前記突出部を受け入れる受け入れ部を有しており、
前記突出部は前記受け入れ部に進入した状態で前記受け入れ部に係合されている、アルカリ蓄電池。 - 前記セパレータは多数の繊維を備えた不織布であり、前記活物質層は、互いに接着された多数の活物質粒子と、前記活物質粒子同士の間に形成された隙間とを有しており、前記突出部としての前記繊維が前記活物質層の表面に存在する前記受け入れ部としての前記活物質粒子同士の隙間に係合している、請求項1に記載のアルカリ蓄電池。
- 体積基準における前記活物質粒子の累積50%粒径D[μm]と、前記セパレータの平均孔径A[μm]と、前記セパレータの平均繊維径B[μm]とが下記式(1)の関係を満足している、請求項2に記載のアルカリ蓄電池。
0.2 < D/(A+B) < 1.5 ・・・(1) - 前記セパレータの平均繊維径B[μm]は体積基準における前記活物質粒子の累積50%粒径D[μm]よりも小さい、請求項2または3に記載のアルカリ蓄電池。
- 前記活物質層には、カルボキシメチルセルロースが含まれている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ蓄電池。
- 前記箔電極は、前記金属箔の一方の面上に配置された前記活物質層としての正極活物質層と、他方の面上に配置された前記活物質層としての負極活物質層と、を有するバイポーラ電極である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ蓄電池。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のアルカリ蓄電池の製造方法であって、
前記箔電極と前記セパレータとを交互に積層して電極組立体を作製するとともに、前記箔電極と前記セパレータとに電解液を含浸させる積層工程と、
前記電極組立体を、その積層方向に圧縮することにより、前記セパレータの一部を前記活物質層に圧入して前記突出部と前記受け入れ部とを係合させる圧縮工程と、を有する、アルカリ蓄電池の製造方法。
