図8(A)を参照して、バルーン20は、バルーン20の外表面20S2に配置される外表面伸縮部160を有してもよい。外表面伸縮部160の材料は、バルーン20を拡張した際、バルーン20の材料よりも周方向に伸張する材料で構成し得る。外表面伸縮部160は、バルーン20の内部に内圧を付与しない収縮した状態で、第1羽根部150aと第2羽根部150bの間、第2羽根部150bと第3羽根部150cの間、および第3羽根部150cと第1羽根部150aの間に配置される。
上述した実施形態1では、凸部120の内部は、伸縮部材110によって満たされていた。しかしながら、凸部は、バルーン20の内表面20S1と伸縮部材110の間に空間部を有していてもよい。以下、実施形態2に係るバルーンカテーテルについて説明する。以下の説明において、上述した実施形態1と同じ部材は、上述した実施形態1と同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。

前記拡張部材は、第1内圧で拡張した際、前記拡張部材の内部に第1内腔を形成しつつ、前記拡張部材の外表面に前記凸部を形成し、

前記羽根部は、前記シャフトの放射方向に対して湾曲または屈曲した頂点部を備え、前記伸縮部材は、前記拡張部材の前記頂点部の内表面に配置される、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の医療用長尺体。 - 前記拡張部材は、前記拡張部材の外表面に配置される外表面伸縮部を有し、
前記外表面伸縮部の材料は、前記拡張部材を拡張した際、前記拡張部材の材料よりも周方向に伸張する材料で構成されており、
前記外表面伸縮部は、前記拡張部材の内部に内圧を付与しない収縮した状態で、隣り合う前記羽根部の間に配置される、請求項9に記載の医療用長尺体。
