Abstract
Description
本願は、35U.S.C.119(e)の規定により、2010年10月18日出願の米国仮特許出願番号61/394,293に基づく優先権を主張し、この仮出願の内容を参照することにより援用する。
いくつかの実施形態において、本願の熱電装置のZT値は、少なくとも0.7又は少なくとも0.8である。いくつかの実施形態において、本願の熱電装置のZT値は、少なくとも1又は少なくとも1.5である。いくつかの実施形態において、本願の熱電装置のZT値は、約0.5〜約2、又は、約0.8〜約1.5である。いくつかの実施形態において、本願の熱電装置のZT値は約1〜約1.3である。いくつかの実施形態において、本願の熱電装置のZT値は約1〜10である。
35mgの単層カーボンナノチューブ(SWNT)を設け、それに17.5mlのジメチルアクリルアミド(DMA)を添加して、第1のp型層を形成した。得られた混合物に高エネルギー超音波処理を1時間行った。そして、全固形分で混合物の20重量パーセントをSWNTにする量のポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)を、混合物に添加した。得られたSWNT/PVDF/DMA混合物に高エネルギー超音波処理を1時間行った。
Claims (38)
- 熱電装置であって、
少なくとも一つのn型層に結合されてpn接合を形成する少なくとも一つのp型層と、
少なくとも部分的に前記p型層と前記n型層との間に配置される複数の絶縁層と
を含み、
前記p型層は複数のカーボンナノ粒子を含み、
前記n型層は複数のnドープカーボンナノ粒子を含む熱電装置。 - 複数のn型層に結合されて複数のpn接合を形成する複数のp型層と、
少なくとも部分的に前記p型層と前記n型層との間に配置される絶縁層と
を含む請求項1に記載の熱電装置。 - 前記p型層のカーボンナノ粒子は、単層カーボンナノチューブ、多層カーボンナノチューブ、フラーレン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記p型層のカーボンナノ粒子はホウ素を含む請求項3の熱電装置。
- 前記ホウ素は、約0.1重量パーセント乃至約30重量パーセントの量で前記カーボンナノ粒子中に存在する請求項4の熱電装置。
- 前記複数のn型層の前記nドープカーボンナノ粒子は、単層カーボンナノチューブ、多層カーボンナノチューブ、フラーレン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記nドープカーボンナノ粒子は窒素を含む請求項6の熱電装置。
- 前記窒素は、約0.1重量パーセント乃至約30重量パーセントの量で前記nドープカーボンナノ粒子に存在する請求項7の熱電装置。
- 前記p型層のカーボンナノ粒子は、ポリマーマトリックスに配置される請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスはフッ素ポリマーを含む請求項9の熱電装置。
- 前記フッ素ポリマーは、ポリフッ化ビニル、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項10の熱電装置。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスは、ポリアクリル酸、ポリオレフィン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記カーボンナノ粒子は、約5重量パーセント乃至約95重量パーセントの量で前記ポリマーマトリックス中に存在する請求項9の熱電装置。
- 前記カーボンナノ粒子は、約10重量パーセント乃至約40重量パーセントの量で前記複数のp型層の前記ポリマーマトリックス中に存在する請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記p型層は、290°Kの温度において約10μV/K乃至約35μV/Kのゼーベック係数を有する請求項9の熱電装置。
- 前記n型層のnドープカーボンナノパーティクルは、ポリマーマトリックスに配置される請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスはフッ素ポリマーを含む請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記フッ素ポリマーは、ポリフッ化ビニル、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項17の熱電装置。
- 前記複数のn型層の前記ポリマーマトリックスは、ポリアクリル酸、ポリオレフィン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項16の熱電装置。
- 前記nドープカーボンナノ粒子は、約5重量パーセント乃至約95重量パーセントの量で前記複数のn型層の前記ポリマーマトリックス中に存在する請求項16の熱電装置。
- 前記nドープカーボンナノ粒子は、約10重量パーセント乃至約40重量パーセントの量で前記複数のn型層の前記ポリマーマトリックス中に存在する請求項16の熱電装置。
- 前記複数のn型層の前記ポリマーマトリックスは、前記nドープカーボンナノ粒子にnドーパントを与える請求項16の熱電装置。
- 前記複数のn型層は、290°Kの温度において約−10μV/K乃至約−35μV/Kのゼーベック係数を有する請求項16の熱電装置。
- 前記複数の絶縁層は、電気絶縁性のポリマー材料を含む請求項1の熱電装置。
- 前記電気絶縁性のポリマー材料はポリオレフィンを含む請求項24の熱電装置。

前記熱電コンポーネントは、
少なくとも一つのn型層に結合されてpn接合を形成する少なくとも一つのp型層と、
少なくとも部分的に前記p型層と前記n型層との間に配置される絶縁層と
を含み、
前記p型層は複数のカーボンナノ粒子を含み、
前記n型層は複数のnドープカーボンナノ粒子を含む光熱装置。 - 前記熱電装置は、
複数のn型層に結合されて複数のpn接合を形成する複数のp型層と、
少なくとも部分的に前記p型層と前記n型層との間に配置される絶縁層とを含む請求項28の光熱装置。 - 前記複数のp型層のカーボンナノ粒子は、単層カーボンナノチューブ、多層カーボンナノチューブ、フラーレン、又は、それらの混合物を含む請求項28の光熱装置。
