Abstract
Description
レセプタクルコネクタ1は、図1に見られるように、略直方体外形をなすハウジング10と、上記実装面に対して平行な一方向であるコネクタ長さ方向(ハウジング10の長手方向)で該ハウジング10に一体モールド成形により配列保持される複数のレセプタクル信号端子20及びレセプタクル補強金具30とを有している。該レセプタクルコネクタ1は、図1で示される姿勢で、回路基板上に配置実装される。
次に、図1、図2(A)、図3及び図5に基づいてプラグコネクタ2の構成について説明する。図3(A)は図1のプラグコネクタ2を上下反転させて示した斜視図であり、図3(B)は図3(A)のプラグコネクタ2のハウジング50を省略して示した斜視図である。
次に、図1,図5及び図6に基づいて、コネクタ1,2の嵌合動作について説明する。図5は、図1のレセプタクルコネクタ1及びプラグコネクタ2のコネクタ長さ方向に対して直角な面での断面図であり、信号端子の位置での断面を示しており、(A)はコネクタ嵌合前の状態、(B)はコネクタ嵌合状態を示している。図6は、図1のレセプタクルコネクタ及びプラグコネクタのコネクタ幅方向に対して直角な面での断面図であり、コネクタ幅方向中央位置での断面を示しており、(A)はコネクタ嵌合前の状態、(B)はコネクタ嵌合状態を示している。

Claims (4)
- ハウジングと該ハウジングにより保持される端子とを有し、回路基板の実装面上に配される回路基板用電気コネクタであって、
上記ハウジングが、上記実装面に対して直角なコネクタ挿抜方向で相手コネクタを受け入れるための受入部と、上記実装面に対して平行をなし上記受入部の底面を形成する底壁と、底壁からコネクタ挿抜方向に起立するとともにコネクタ幅方向に対して直角なコネクタ長さ方向に延びる起立壁とを有し、
該起立壁は、コネクタ幅方向に対して直角な側面から没するとともにコネクタ挿抜方向に延びる溝部が形成されており、
上記端子は、上記底壁に沿ったコネクタ幅方向に延び該底壁に一体成形により保持される基部と、該基部の一端からコネクタ挿抜方向に延び相手コネクタに接触可能な接触腕部と、上記基部の他端から延びた部分に形成され上記実装面に半田接続可能な接続部とを有し、上記接触腕部は、コネクタ幅方向及びコネクタ長さ方向で上記溝部の内壁面との間に隙間をもって該溝部に収容されてコネクタ幅方向で弾性変位可能となっている回路基板用電気コネクタにおいて、
上記起立壁の溝部は、該起立壁の起立範囲全域にわたって形成されており、
上記底壁は、コネクタ長さ方向での少なくとも端子位置にて、コネクタ幅方向での上記接触腕部に対応する範囲を含んで形成されていることを特徴とする回路基板用電気コネクタ。 - ハウジングの底壁は、コネクタ幅方向で接触腕部とは異なる範囲でコネクタ挿抜方向に該底壁を貫通する底孔部が形成されており、
端子の基部は、コネクタ幅方向での上記底孔部に対応する範囲を含んで形成されており、該基部の底面が上記底孔部にて露呈しているとともに、該基部の両側端面が上記底壁によって保持されていることとする請求項1に記載の回路基板用電気コネクタ。 - 端子の基部は、コネクタ長さ方向での端子幅が上記底孔部よりも大きくなっており、両側端面に加え、上記端子幅の側縁部での少なくとも一方の板面が底壁によって保持されていることとする請求項2に記載の回路基板用電気コネクタ。
- 端子は、コネクタ長さ方向で複数配列されており、端子配列範囲の両端域に位置する端子が電源端子をなし、そして端子配列範囲の中間域に位置する他の端子が信号端子をなしており、
ハウジングの底壁の底孔部は、コネクタ長さ方向で間隔をもって複数配列されて形成されており、
上記電源端子の基部は、コネクタ長さ方向で複数の上記底孔部を覆って形成されており、
上記信号端子の基部は、コネクタ長さ方向で少なくとも一つの上記底孔部を覆って形成されていることとする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の回路基板用電気コネクタ。
