Claims (12)

  1. ロボットデバイスであって、
    (a)切開を通して患者の身体キャビティ内に少なくとも部分的に位置決めされるように構成されるデバイス本体を備え、前記デバイス本体は、
    (i)第1のモータ及び第2のモータを備えるモータハウジング、
    (ii)ギアハウジングを備え、前記ギアハウジングは、
    (A)前記ギアハウジングの遠位端に位置決めされる第1のギアであって、前記第1のモータに動作可能に結合される、前記第1のギア、及び、
    (B)前記ギアハウジングの遠位端に位置決めされる第2のギアであって、前記第2のモータに動作可能に結合される、前記第2のギアを備え、
    (b)前記第1のギアに動作可能に結合される第1のアームであって、前記第1のアームが真直ぐな構成で延在するとき、前記デバイス本体の縦断面内に位置決めされる、前記第1のアームと、
    (c)前記第2のギアに動作可能に結合される第2のアームであって、前記第2のアームが真直ぐな構成で延在するとき、前記デバイス本体の前記縦断面内に位置決めされる、前記第2のアームとを備える、ロボットデバイス。
  2. 前記ギアハウジングは、前記ギアハウジングの前記遠位端に配設される、第1、第2、及び第3のハウジング突出部を備え、前記第1のギアは前記第1のハウジング突出部と前記第2のハウジング突出部との間に配設され、前記第2のギアは前記第2のハウジング突出部と前記第3のハウジング突出部との間に配設される、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  3. 前記第1のアームは、第1の肩継手において前記第1のギアに動作可能に結合され、前記第1の肩継手は前記デバイス本体の前記縦断面内に位置決めされる、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  4. 前記第2のアームは、第2の肩継手において前記第2のギアに動作可能に結合され、前記第2の肩継手は前記デバイス本体の前記縦断面内に位置決めされる、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  5. 前記第1のギアは、前記デバイス本体の長さに平行な第1の軸の周りに回転するように構成される、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  6. 前記第2のギアは、前記デバイス本体の長さに平行な第2の軸の周りに回転するように構成される、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  7. 前記第1のアームは、第1の上アーム及び第1の前アームを備え、前記第1の上アーム及び前記第1の前アームは、前記第1のアームが前記真直ぐな構成で延在するとき同一直線上になる、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  8. 前記第2のアームは、第2の上アーム及び第2の前アームを備え、前記第2の上アーム及び前記第2の前アームは、前記第2のアームが前記真直ぐな構成で延在するとき同一直線上になる、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  9. 前記デバイス本体は支持ロッドに動作可能に結合される、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  10. 前記第1及び前記第2のアームはそれぞれ、少なくとも一方のローカル制御ボードに動
    作可能に結合される少なくとも1つのアームモータを備える、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  11. 前記第1のギアは歯の無い部分を備え、前記第2のギアは歯の無い部分を備える、請求項1に記載のロボットデバイス。
  12. 前記デバイス本体並びに前記第1及び前記第2のアームに動作可能に結合される弾性バンドを更に備え、前記弾性バンドは、前記第1及び前記第2のアームを前記真直ぐな構成に向けて付勢するように構成される、請求項11に記載のロボットデバイス。
