成分Cのオレフィン系ポリマーは、以下:a)エチレンホモポリマー、b)エチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー、c)プロピレン/エチレンインターポリマー、およびd)プロピレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー、からなる群から選択される。
1つの実施形態において、成分Cのオレフィン系ポリマーは、エチレンホモポリマーである。更なる実施形態において、エチレンホモポリマーは、HDPE(高密度ポリエチレン)である。
1つの実施形態において、成分Cのオレフィン系ポリマーは、エチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー、および好ましくはエチレン/α−オレフィンコポリマーである。
1つの実施形態において、オレフィン系ポリマーは、プロピレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー、および更にはコポリマー;またはプロピレン/エチレンインターポリマー、および更にはコポリマーである。
本明細書で使用される場合、用語「官能基」は、少なくとも1つのヘテロ原子を含有する化学置換基を指す。へテロ原子は、炭素でも水素でもない原子として定義される。一般的なヘテロ原子としては、限定するものではないが、酸素、窒素、イオウ、リンが挙げられる。

増大張力
増大張力は、材料が加熱される際に見られる力の尺度である。増大張力は、TA Instrument RSAIII(Rheometric Solids Analyzer III)を用いて測定した。「0.8〜1mm」の厚さの圧縮成形シートを、長方形形状を有する「12.7mm」幅に切断し、図1に示す機器に充填した。テストの間、ひずみおよび張力を、クランプ距離(長さ)を20mmに固定するように設定した。温度傾斜は、溶融するまで室温から20℃/分にてプログラムした。温度傾斜の間に力を記録し、そこから以下の式1に従って定義された増大張力を計算した。正の力は、式1に示されるように、増大傾向を検知し、負の力は収縮傾向を検知する。
Carver Pressを用いる−130℃に設定;
プラテン上にサンプルを置き、15分間加熱する;
プレスを閉じ、プレスを開放し、プレスを閉じ、プレスを開放する;
プレスを閉じ、次いで所望の圧力に到達するまで閉じることによってプレスのプログラムを行う;プログラムは3.0分間3000lb;3.0分間10,000lb;および1分間20,000;および20,000lbで1〜2分間冷却する。
曲げ弾性率は、ASTM D−790に従って測定した。組成物を、Wabash(Carver)プレスにて130℃で軽圧力下(6000psiで15分間)下に加圧した。次いで3回、プレスを開放し及び閉じ、材料を軟化し、空気を逃すようにした。次いで圧力を15トン(30,000lbs)に増大させ、この時点で、プレスプラテンを、15℃/分の速度にて50℃未満の温度に冷却した。それぞれ「5インチ×0.5インチ×0.125インチ」テストバーを、圧縮成形プラークからダイ切断した(10インチ×7インチ×0.120インチ)。バーをASTM D−790に従って2インチ離れた2つの半径上に配置したときに、テストは、「0.05インチ/分」にて移動するローディングノーズを用いてバーを曲げて破断させることを含む。「MTS Corporation TestWorks4.0ソフトウェア」を備えたINSTRON RENEWを使用してデータを回収し、計算した。
引張試験は、ASTM D−882に従って行った。それぞれのサンプルは、曲げ弾性率に関して上記で議論された通りに圧縮成形した。タイプIVのドッグボーン形状のサンプルを、ASTM D−638の図1に従って、次いでプラークから切断した。それぞれのテストサンプルをMTS QTES 50LP引張試験機を用いて「毎分2インチ」で引っ張った。データを回収し、「MTS テストワークス」ソフトウェアを用いて分析した。
メルト・インデックス(I2)は、ASTM D−1238(190℃;2.16kg)に従って測定した。結果をグラム/10分単位で記録した。メルトフローレート(MFR)を、ASTM D−1238(230℃;2.16kg)に従って測定した。結果をグラム/10分単位で記録した。
密度をASTM D−792方法Bに従って測定した。それぞれのサンプルを曲げ弾性率テストについて上記で議論されたように圧縮成形した。23℃にてイソプロピルアルコールをサンプル含侵のために使用した。
従来のGPC測定を使用し、ポリマーの重量平均(Mw)および数平均(Mn)分子量を決定し、MWD(=Mw/Mn)を決定した。「サンプルを高温GPC機器(PolymerLabratories,Inc.model PL220)を用いて分析した。
ポリエチレン(M)=a*(ポリスチレン(M))b。
示差走査熱量計(DSC)を使用して、エチレン系(PE)サンプルおよびプロピレン系(PP)サンプルにおける結晶化度を測定した。約5〜8mgのフィルムサンプルを計量し、DSCパンに置いた。「0.1〜0.2グラム」サンプルを190℃にて20000psiで30秒間加圧し、「1マイル厚さ」のフィルムを形成することによって、フィルムサンプルを形成した。蓋をパンにクリンプし、閉鎖雰囲気を担保した。サンプルパンをDSCセルに置き、次いで約10℃/分の速度で、PEについては180℃の温度に加熱した(PPについては230℃)。サンプルを3分間この温度に維持した。次いでサンプルをPEについては、10℃/分の速度で−60℃まで冷却し、その温度で3分間等温維持した。次にサンプルを、完全に溶融するまで10℃/分の速度で加熱した(第2加熱)。結晶化度(%)を、第2加熱曲線から求められる溶融熱(Hf)をPEについての292J/g(PPについては165J/g)の理論溶融熱で除し、この量に100を乗じることによって計算した(例えば結晶化度(%)=(Hf/292J/g)×100(PEに関して))。
この試験に使用されるポリマーおよび添加剤を表1に列挙する。表1において、「EO」は、エチレン/オクテンコポリマーを指す。表1において、標記「NA」は「利用不可」を意味する。表1に示されるポリマーおよび添加剤を、表2に示される通りの一連の組成物を製造するために使用した。すべての割合(%)は、組成物の重量に基づく重量%である。
Claims (14)
- 少なくとも以下:
A)0.90g/cc以下の密度、10を超えるI2を有するエチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー;
B)官能化オレフィン系ポリマー;ならびに
C)以下からなる群から選択される、0.90g/ccを超える密度を有するオレフィン系ポリマー:
a)エチレンホモポリマー、
b)エチレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー、
c)プロピレン/エチレンインターポリマー、および
d)プロピレン/α−オレフィンインターポリマー;を含む組成物であって、
[密度(C)−密度(A)]は0.017以上であり;
[(A+C)/B]の重量比は3.0以上である、組成物。 - 「成分Aと成分C」との重量比が1以上である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 「成分Aと成分C」との重量比が1〜5である、請求項1又は2のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。

- 前記組成物が、10g/10分を超えるメルト・インデックス(I2)を有する、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 1つ以上の添加剤を更に含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
