Abstract

Claims (1)
- 液滴を射出するノズルと、該ノズルから液滴を射出するために、前記ノズルに連通するチャンバの容積をその形状を変形させることにより変動させる圧電アクチュエータと、該圧電アクチュエータに波形入力信号を接続するスイッチを有する液滴射出デバイスを制御する方法において、
(A) 液滴発射期間中、前記圧電アクチュエータを前記波形入力信号で駆動するように前記スイッチを制御する工程、及び
(B) 非発射期間中、前記圧電アクチュエータを接地電位と電源電位の中間の範囲の定電圧波形入力信号で駆動するように前記スイッチを制御する工程、
を含み、
(A)工程が、前記圧電アクチュエータを前記波形入力信号で駆動するように前記スイッチを電気的に接続するためにチャネル制御信号を用いるものであり、
(B)工程が、前記圧電アクチュエータへの電荷の蓄積を防止するために実施され、前記圧電アクチュエータを前記定電圧波形入力信号で駆動するように前記スイッチを電気的に接続するためにクランプ制御信号を用いるものであることを特徴とする方法。
