Description
Claims (14)
- 複数のスイッチと該複数のスイッチに接続する圧電アクチュエータとを備える液滴射出装置であって、各前記スイッチが、波形信号が印加される入力端子と、前記圧電アクチュエータに接続する出力端子と、制御信号で前記スイッチの接続を制御するための制御信号端子と、前記入力端子と前記出力端子との間の抵抗を含むものであり、前記複数のスイッチの抵抗は異なり、且つ2進重み付けされている前記液滴射出装置の応答を制御する方法であって、
前記複数のスイッチが並列接続されており、前記圧電アクチュエータがキャパシタンスを有し、前記複数のスイッチの各スイッチからの前記抵抗と前記圧電アクチュエータの前記キャパシタンスとがローパスフィルタ回路を構成するよう構成され、
前記複数のスイッチの各スイッチの前記入力端子に印加すべき、ステップパルス、のこぎり波、及び2つ以上の波形パターンの組み合わせのいずれかを含む波形信号を波形テーブルから選択する工程と、
前記選択された波形信号を前記複数のスイッチの各スイッチの前記入力端子に印加する工程と、
各前記スイッチの前記制御信号端子を前記制御信号で制御する工程と、
前記アクチュエータにおける、同じパターンの入力波形信号に対する一貫した発射波形を提供するために、前記ローパスフィルタ回路で高周波高調波をフィルタリングする工程と、
前記ローパスフィルタ回路の並列接続された1つ以上の抵抗器に基づく実効抵抗Reffを構成するために、前記ローパスフィルタ回路の前記1つ以上のスイッチの各スイッチの前記制御信号端子を制御する工程と、
前記波形テーブルに、各プリントジョブに対するプリント制御を高めるため、異なる応答を生じるため、及び異なるスポットサイズを生じるための1つ以上のパラメータを含める工程と、
を備え、
前記実効抵抗が、前記ローパスフィルタ回路内の作動されているスイッチの並列の組み合わせで構成され、前記作動されているスイッチが、前記スイッチの前記制御信号端子に高い電圧を有するスイッチであり、該スイッチが電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記圧電アクチュエータが、該圧電アクチュエータと関連付けられた電荷が作動状態と非作動状態との間で変化すると、変位位置と非変位位置との間を移動して流体チャンバの容積を変えるよう構成された電気的に作動される変位装置であり、前記流体チャンバが容積及び射出ノズルを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記波形信号が、少なくとも2つの前記スイッチの前記入力端子に対して選択されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記作動されるスイッチの選択を変えることにより前記ローパスフィルタ回路の周波数応答を変える工程を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上のパラメータが、1つ以上のタイプのプリントされる基体及び該1つ以上のタイプのプリントされる基体のインク吸収率に基づくパラメータを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 波形発射インターバルの持続時間の後で前記複数のスイッチの1つ以上を電気的に切断する工程を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記複数のスイッチが2進重み付きスイッチで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 複数の液滴射出装置であって、各前記液滴射出装置が、圧電アクチュエータに並列接続された複数のスイッチを含み、各前記スイッチが、波形信号が印加される入力端子と、前記圧電アクチュエータに接続する出力端子と、制御信号で前記スイッチの接続を制御するための制御信号端子と、前記入力端子と前記出力端子との間の抵抗とを含むものであり、前記複数のスイッチの抵抗は異なり、且つ2進重み付けされている前記複数の液滴射出装置と、
前記複数の液滴射出装置の各液滴射出装置の入力への入力波形信号を含む1組の波形信号情報であって、ステップパルス、のこぎり波、又は2つ以上の波形パターンの組み合わせを含む1つ以上の波形パターンの情報を含む前記1組の波形信号情報と、
前記圧電アクチュエータを駆動するための、前記複数のスイッチの少なくとも1つのスイッチの前記入力端子に接続された増幅器であって、前記圧電アクチュエータのキャパシタンスを充電するよう構成されると共に前記圧電アクチュエータのキャパシタンスを放電するよう更に構成される前記増幅器と、
前記圧電アクチュエータの前記キャパシタンスの電荷の変化の程度を制御するために、個々の充電制御信号を個々の制御信号端子に供給する制御器と
を備え、
前記波形信号情報が波形テーブルから得られるものであり、該波形テーブルには、各プリントジョブに対するプリント制御を高めるため、異なる応答を生じるため、及び異なるスポットサイズを生じるための1つ以上のパラメータが含まれていることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記複数のスイッチの各スイッチからの前記抵抗と前記圧電アクチュエータの前記キャパシタンスとが、前記入力波形信号に付随する高周波高調波をフィルタリングするためのローパスフィルタ回路を構成するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項8記載の装置。
- 前記ローパスフィルタ回路内の各前記スイッチの前記抵抗が、前記ローパスフィルタ回路の実効抵抗Reffを構成するために並列接続されるよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項9記載の装置。
- 前記ローパスフィルタ回路が、前記複数のスイッチのどのスイッチを前記入力波形信号及び前記圧電アクチュエータに電気的に接続するかの選択に基づき前記実効抵抗を変えるよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項9記載の装置。
- インクジェットプリンタのプリントを制御するシステムにおいて、
入力波形信号中の高周波信号をフィルタリングし、インク液滴の射出用のアクチュエータに安定した発射波形信号を供給するよう構成されたフィルタ回路であって、該フィルタ回路が電気的に並列接続された複数の抵抗器で構成される実効抵抗を含み、前記並列接続の第1の端部が入力波形端子に接続され、前記並列接続の第2の端部が前記インク液滴射出用のアクチュエータに接続され、前記複数の抵抗器が異なる抵抗を有するとともに2進重み付けされ、前記フィルタ回路が複数のスイッチを含み、少なくとも1つのスイッチが前記複数の抵抗器の少なくとも1つの抵抗器を別の抵抗器と並列に接続するよう構成され、各スイッチが抵抗器と直列に電気的に接続されるよう構成された、前記フィルタ回路と、
前記実効抵抗の抵抗値を決定するために前記複数のスイッチのどのスイッチが電気的に接続されるかを制御する制御器と、
前記圧電アクチュエータを発射波形信号で駆動するための、前記入力波形端子に接続された増幅器であって、前記アクチュエータのキャパシタンスを充電するよう構成されると共に前記アクチュエータのキャパシタンスを放電するよう更に構成される前記増幅器と、
を備え、
前記フィルタ回路の周波数応答が、前記実効抵抗及び前記アクチュエータのキャパシタンスに関係することを特徴とするシステム。 - 各前記スイッチが前記抵抗器を含むことを特徴とする請求項12記載のシステム。
- 前記入力波形信号が、ステップパルス、のこぎり波、及び2つ以上の波形パターンの組み合わせのいずれかを含むことを特徴とする請求項12記載のシステム。
