Abstract
【解決手段】 表示基板21、第1表示電極22、第1エレクトロクロミック層23、絶縁層24、第2表示電極25、第2エレクトロクロミック層26、絶縁層27、第3表示電極28、第3エレクトロクロミック層29、電解質層30、白色反射層31、電荷保持層32、複数の画素電極33、TFT層34、対向基板35などを有している。電荷保持層32は、表面抵抗が1.0E+06(Ω/□)以上である。この場合は、発色と消色の繰り返し耐久性に優れ、かつ画像ボケを極めて小さくすることができる。

Description
過塩素酸テトラブチルアンモニウム(TBAP)の炭酸プロピレン溶液を調製する。ここでのTBAP濃度は、2mol/lである。
表示基板21としてのガラス基板(40mm×40mm)の表面全面にスパッタ法により約100nmのITO膜を形成し、第1表示電極22を作製する。この第1表示電極22の表面抵抗は約200Ωであった。
対向基板35としてのガラス基板(40mm×40mm)上に、140ppiの密度で複数の駆動素子を有するTFT層34を形成する。

- 表示基板と、
表示電極と、
前記表示電極上に設けられたエレクトロクロミック層と、
対向基板と、
前記対向基板上に各々分離して設けられた複数の駆動素子と、
前記複数の駆動素子上に設けられた複数の画素電極と、
前記複数の画素電極上に連続層として設けられた電荷保持層と、
前記表示電極と前記電荷保持層とに挟まれるように設けられた電解質層とを有し、
前記電荷保持層が、導電体微粒子又は半導体微粒子とポリマーの混合膜からなるエレクトロクロミック表示素子。 - 前記電荷保持層は、表面抵抗が1.0E+06(Ω/□)以上の高抵抗層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエレクトロクロミック表示素子。
- 請求項1又は2に記載のエレクトロクロミック表示素子と、
表示データが格納されるVRAMと、
前記VRAMに格納されている表示データに基づいて前記エレクトロクロミック表示素子を制御する表示コントローラと、を備える表示装置。 - 請求項3に記載の表示装置と、
前記表示装置に情報を表示する制御装置と、を備える情報機器。
