Abstract
【解決手段】電子デバイスは無線周波数トランシーバに接合される調整可能なアンテナシステムを含む無線通信回路を有する。調整可能なアンテナシステムは、前記電子デバイス内のストレージ/処理回路により制御される1以上の調整可能な電気部品を含む。調整可能な電気部品は、多様な異なる状態の調整を行えるスイッチ及び部品を含む。調整可能な電気部品はアンテナシステム部品(例えば、伝送ライン要素、マッチングネットワーク要素、アンテナ要素、及びアンテナフィードなど)間を接合する。調整可能な電気部品を調整することによって、ストレージ/処理回路は、調整可能なアンテナシステムが関心のある通信バンドをカバーすることを保証するように、この調整可能なアンテナシステムをチューニングする。

Description
コンピュータや携帯型電子機器などの電子デバイスは、しばしば無線通信機能を備えている。例えば、電子デバイスは携帯電話バンドを用いて通信するセルラー式電話の電気回路など、長距離無線通信の電気回路を用いる。電子デバイスは近接する設備との通信を扱う際に、短距離無線通信リンクを用いる。例えば、電子デバイスは2.4GHz及び5GHzのWiFi(登録商標)(IEEE802.11)バンド及び2.4GHzのBluetooth(登録商標)バンドを用いて通信する。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、その金属構造体はディスプレイ・ベゼル(周囲枠)を含む。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、その金属構造体は電子デバイスのためのハウジング横壁を含む。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、調整可能な電気部品はスイッチを含む。本発明の他の実施例に従えば、調整可能な電気部品は複数のスイッチを含む。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、調整可能な電気部品は連続的に調整可能な電気部品を含む。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、連続的に調整可能な電気部品は、調整可能な抵抗器、調整可能なキャパシター、調整可能なインダクターの少なくとも1つを含む。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、調整可能な電気部品は、伝導性周辺部に接続する第1の端子と及び第2の端子を有する。
本発明の他の実施例に従えば、誘電性ギャップは伝導性周辺部の中に複数の誘電性ギャップの少なくとも1つを含み、調整可能な電気部品は複数の調整可能な電気部品の一つを含み、そして各調整可能な電気部品は伝導性ギャップのそれぞれ1つをブリッジする。
Claims (20)
- 電子デバイス・ハウジング内の伝導性周辺部と、
前記伝導性周辺部内のギャップ幅と関連する少なくとも1つの誘電性ギャップと、
前記ギャップ幅を電気的に調整する少なくとも1つの調整可能な電気部品と、
を備えた調整可能なアンテナシステム。 - 前記伝導性周辺部は、電子デバイス内に矩形周辺部のある金属構造体を含み、
前記金属構造体は、前記矩形周辺部の実質的にすべてを取り囲んでいる、
請求項1に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。 - 前記金属構造体はディスプレイ・ベゼル(周囲枠)を含む、請求項2に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記金属構造体は前記電子デバイスのためにハウジング横壁を含む、請求項2に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記調整可能な電気部品はスイッチを含む、請求項1に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記調整可能な電気部品は複数のスイッチを含む、請求項1に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記調整可能な電気部品は、連続的に調整可能な電気部品を含む、請求項1に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記連続的に調整可能な電気部品は、調整可能な抵抗器、調整可能なキャパシター、調整可能なインダクターからなるグループから選択される部品を含む、請求項7に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記調整可能な電気部品は、前記伝導性周辺部に接続される第1の端子と、前記伝導性周辺部に接続される第2の端子とを有する、請求項2に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記誘電性ギャップは、伝導性周辺部内の複数の誘電性ギャップの一つを含み、前記調整可能な電気部品は、複数の調整可能な電気部品の一つを含み、前記調整可能な各電気部品は前記誘電性ギャップのそれぞれ1つをブリッジする、請求項2に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 前記調整可能なアンテナシステムは、少なくとも部分が前記伝導性周辺部から形成される調整可能なアンテナを含み、前記調整可能なアンテナシステムは、前記電子デバイス・ハウジング内の金属板の部分を含み、そして前記調整可能なアンテナシステムは、前記伝導性周辺部と接続する少なくとも1つの端子を有するスイッチを含む、請求項1に記載の調整可能なアンテナシステム。
- 矩形周辺部をもつ矩形ハウジングと、
無線周波数トランシーバと、
アンテナフィードを有するアンテナと、
前記無線周波数トランシーバ及び前記アンテナに結合する伝送ラインパスと、
前記矩形周辺部に沿って走る矩形の伝導性周辺部であって、誘電性ギャップ及び前記アンテナの少なくとも一部を形成する部分を含む当該伝導性周辺部と、
前記伝導性周辺部に電気的に結合される少なくとも1つの端子を有し、及び、前記アンテナの周波数応答を調整する制御信号を受信するコントロール端子を有する、調整可能な電気部品と、
を備えた電子デバイス。 - 前記調整可能な電気部品はスイッチを含む、請求項12に記載の電子デバイス。
- 伝送ラインのスタブと、
前記伝送ラインのスタブと、前記伝送ラインのパスとの間に接合して、前記伝送ラインのスタブを使用中及び使用外に切り替えるスイッチと、
を備えた、請求項12に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記アンテナは調整可能なアンテナであり、アドレス電子デバイスは、前記無線周波数トランシーバと接合する固定アンテナを含む、
請求項14に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記アドレス固定アンテナは複数の通信バンドをカバーし、
前記調整可能な電気部品は、前記調整可能なアンテナが複数の異なる通信バンドを選択的にカバーして、前記各通信バンドが前記複数の通信バンドのうちの一つに対応するように調整される、
請求項15に記載の電子デバイス。 - 無線周波数トランシーバと、
ストレージ/処理回路と、
前記無線周波数トランシーバと接合する調整可能なアンテナシステムであって、フレキシブル回路基板上の電気部品と接合する調整可能な電気部品を含む当該アンテナシステムとを含み、
前記調整可能な電気部品は、前記ストレージ/処理回路からの制御信号によって制御され、前記ストレージ/処理回路は、前記調整可能な電気部品に対して前記制御信号を適用することによって所望の通信バンドをカバーするように前記調整可能なアンテナシステムをチューニングすることを特徴とする電子デバイス。 - 前記フレキシブル回路基板上の電気部品はカメラモジュールを含む、請求項17に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記調整可能な電気部品は、スイッチ、可変キャパシター、可変抵抗器、可変インダクターからなるグループから選択される部品を含む、請求項18に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記調整可能なアンテナシステムは、前記ストレージ/処理回路によって制御される調整可能なアンテナインピーダンス・マッチングネットワークを含む、請求項19に記載の電子デバイス。
