Description
本出願は、2018年8月30日に出願された「Housing and Antenna Architecture for Mobile Device」という名称の米国仮特許出願第62/725,237号の仮出願ではない特許出願であり、米国仮特許出願第62/725,237号の利益を請求し、その開示は、その全体が本明細書に参考として組み込まれる。
記載される実施形態は、一般的に、モバイルデバイスのための筐体及びアンテナアーキテクチャに関する。更に特定的には、記載される実施形態は、デバイスの外部面の一部を画定する1つ以上の角それぞれに筐体セグメントが配置されていてもよい、セグメント化された筐体に関する。いくつかの実施形態では、1つ以上の筐体セグメントが、デバイスのためのアンテナとして動作可能であってもよい。
第1インターロック機構800は、第2インターロック機構802の第2インターロック表面846に対向して配置される第1インターロック表面844を有しており、内部隙間808を画定していてもよい。第1インターロック表面844は、第1突起836によって画定されてもよく、第2インターロック表面846は、第2突起838によって画定されてもよい。外部隙間806は、第1隙間の幅を有していてもよく、内部隙間808は、第2隙間の幅を有していてもよい。いくつかの実施形態では、また、図8Aに示されるように、第2隙間の幅は、第1隙間の幅より大きくてもよい。
Claims (20)
- 筐体セグメントのセットと、
無線通信回路とを備える電子デバイスであって、前記無線通信回路は、
前記筐体セグメントのセットの第1サブセットをアンテナとして用いる第1マルチ入力マルチ出力(MIMO)モードで動作し、
前記筐体セグメントのセットの第2サブセットをアンテナとして用いる第2MIMOモードで動作する
ように構成されている、電子デバイス。 - 前記筐体セグメントのセットの前記第2サブセットは、
前記電子デバイスの第1角を画定する第1筐体セグメントと
前記電子デバイスの第2角を画定する第2筐体セグメントと、
前記電子デバイスの第3角を画定する第3筐体セグメントと、
前記電子デバイスの第4角を画定する第4筐体セグメントと、を備え、
前記筐体セグメントのセットの前記第1サブセットは、前記第1筐体セグメント、前記第2筐体セグメント、前記第3筐体セグメント、及び前記第4筐体セグメントから選択された少なくとも2つの筐体セグメントを備える、請求項1に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記筐体セグメントのセットの前記第1サブセットは、

前記筐体セグメントのセットの少なくともサブセットをアンテナとして用いる第1マルチ入力マルチ出力(MIMO)モードで通信し、
少なくとも前記ディスプレイの下に位置する前記アンテナのセットを用いる第2MIMOモードで通信する、
電子デバイス。 - 前記ディスプレイの下に位置する前記アンテナのセットは、
前記ディスプレイの下に位置する第1アンテナと、
前記ディスプレイの下に位置する第2アンテナと、
を備える、請求項10に記載の電子デバイス。 - 前記筐体セグメントのセットの前記サブセットは、
前記電子デバイスの第1角に位置する第1筐体セグメントと、
