Abstract
Description
本出願は,2008年4月14日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/044649号の優先権を主張する。
(a)抽出物の量の測定−ASTM D297,第18章,アセトンでの標準ソックスレー抽出法装置の使用を可能にする変更を施した。
(b)マイクロダンベル試験−ASTM D412。
(c)標準天然ゴム試験配合−表1参照。
グアユールの灌木(約40.7%精製ゴム)由来の総固形分約48.9%であるユーレックス社から購入した水性天然ゴムラテックス試料149.03グラムを3リットルのアセトンと混合ヘキサン異性体を50/50(体積)含む組成物とさらに30分間混合した。これによって単一の粘性ゴム相及び二つの液相が形成する結果であった。
0.489×149.03=72.88グラムのラテックス試料中の固体,
72.88グラムの固体−60.06グラムのゴム=12.82グラムの除去した抽出物となる。
例2は,天然ゴムラテックスの凝固に,例1のような炭化水素溶剤及び/又は有機極性溶剤の組成物ではなく,ギ酸を用いた。
グアユールの灌木由来の総固形分約48.9%であるユーレックス社から購入した水性天然ゴムラテックス試料67.6グラムに蒸留水を総量338グラム添加して,総重量に対し総固形分含有量が約10%になるように希釈した。
例3で用いたのと同一の水性天然ゴムラテックス試料12.5グラムを蒸留水で希釈し,総重量625グラム,総固形分含有率約1%とした。
コロンビアン・ケミカルズ・オブ・プロクター社,ウエストバージニア州から購入したN339Pカーボンブラック10.5グラムとおよそ等体積の蒸留水,40%オレイン酸カリウムペースト数グラム及びpHを約8に上げるため5%KOH水溶液数ccと混合することでカーボンブラック懸濁液を形成した。混合物を,塊のない濃厚懸濁液を形成するまで撹拌した。
本例はアセトン自体が水性天然ゴムラテックスを凝固させることを示す。
固形分55%であるユーレックス社から購入した水性天然ゴムラテックス試料88.4グラムを,アルミニウム製容器内に高さ1cmで置き,冷凍機中−30℃で30分間冷凍し凍結ラテックスをつくった。凍結ラテックスを冷凍機から取り出し,その後,容器から取り出した。
コロンビアン・ケミカルズ・オブ・プロクター社から購入したN339Pカーボンブラック試料2.2グラムを,グアユールの灌木由来の総固形分約51.1%であるユーレックス社から購入した水性天然ゴムラテックス100.73グラムに添加した。混合物をローラー状に4時間置いて均一な混合を得た。その後,混合物を高さ0.5cmのアルミニウム製容器内に静置し,冷凍機中−30℃で30分間冷凍し,凍結混合物をつくった。凍結混合物を冷凍機から出し,その後容器に取り出した。
更に,明細書又は請求項中で「接続する」という用語を使用する範囲内で,「直接結合する」だけでなく,単一又は複数の要素を介して結合するような「間接的に結合する」ことも意味する意図である。
Claims (20)
- 天然ゴム,水,抽出物及び一種又は複数種の添加剤を含み,実質的にリグノセルロース系植物材料を含まない水性天然ゴムラテックスからゴムを回収する方法であって,
前記ラテックスを,少なくとも一種類の炭化水素溶剤及び少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤を含み、前記天然ゴムの少なくとも75%を前記水から分離する分離溶剤組成物と接触させ,天然ゴム及び低減した量の抽出物を含有する粘性ゴム相を有する溶剤を形成する工程と,

- 前記分離溶剤組成物の総量に対して,前記少なくとも一種類の炭化水素溶剤が5重量%〜60重量%の量で存在し,前記少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤が95重量%〜40重量%の量で存在する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記得られた天然ゴム中の前記抽出物量が1重量%以下である請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも一種類の抽出溶剤組成物がアセトンを含む請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記分離溶剤組成物において,前記少なくとも一種類の炭化水素溶剤が5重量%〜25重量%の量で存在し,前記少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤75重量%〜95重量%の量で存在し,前記少なくとも一種類の抽出溶剤組成物がアセトンを含み,前記得られた天然ゴム中の前記抽出物の量が1重量%以下である請求項2に記載の方法。
- 天然ゴム,水,抽出物及び一種又は複数種の添加剤を含み,実質的にリグノセルロース系植物材料を含まない水性天然ゴムラテックスからゴムを回収する方法であって,
前記ラテックスを,前記天然ゴムの少なくとも75%が凝固する第一処理溶液と接触させ,凝固した天然ゴム,水及び抽出物を含む混合物を形成する工程と,
前記凝固した天然ゴムを収集する工程と,
前記凝固した天然ゴムを,前記抽出物を選択的に溶媒和するために,少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤を含む第二処理溶液と接触させる工程と,
前記凝固した天然ゴムを乾燥して,前記抽出物の量が5重量%以下の得られた天然ゴムをつくる工程とを備える方法。 - 前記第一処理溶液が,有機酸,鉱酸もしくはそれらの塩を含む請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記第一処理溶液が,少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤を含み、前記第一及び第二処理溶液が同一又は異なる請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記第一処理溶液が,酢酸,ギ酸,硫酸,水性硫酸アルミニウム,水性塩化カルシウムもしくはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択する酸を含む請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記第一処理溶液中の前記少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤は、1〜8個の炭素原子を有するアルコール及び3〜8個の炭素原子を有するケトンからなる群から選択され,前記第二処理溶液中の前記少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤は、1〜8個の炭素原子を有するアルコール及び3〜8個の炭素原子を有するケトンからなる群から選択される請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ラテックスを第一処理溶液と接触する前に,前記ラテックスに前記得られた乾燥天然ゴムの0.5〜6重量%の量のカーボンブラックを添加する工程を更に含む請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記凝固した天然ゴムを前記第二処理溶液と接触させる前に,前記凝固した天然ゴムに前記得られた乾燥天然ゴムの0.5〜6重量%の量で前記カーボンブラックを添加する工程を更に備える請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記第一及び第二処理溶液が主としてアセトンからなる請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記第一及び第二処理溶液が主としてアセトンからなる請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記得られた天然ゴム中の前記抽出物の量が2重量%以下である請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記得られた天然ゴム中の前記抽出物の量が2重量%以下である請求項9に記載の方法。
- 天然ゴム,水,抽出物及び一種又は複数種の添加剤を含み,実質的にリグノセルロース系植物材料を含まない水性天然ゴムラテックスからゴムを回収する方法であって,
前記ラテックスを,前記天然ゴムの少なくとも75%が凝固するように凍結し,凝固した天然ゴム,水及び抽出物を含む混合物を形成する工程と,
前記混合物を解凍する工程と,
前記凝固した天然ゴムを収集する工程と,
前記凝固した天然ゴムを,前記抽出物を選択的に溶媒和するために,少なくとも一種類の有機極性溶剤を含む処理溶液と接触させる工程と,
前記凝固した天然ゴムを乾燥して,前記抽出物の量が5重量%以下の得られた天然ゴムをつくる工程とを備える方法。 - 前記ラテックスを凍結する前に,前記ラテックスに前記乾燥天然ゴムの0.5〜6重量%の量で前記カーボンブラックを添加する工程を更に備える請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記凝固した天然ゴムを前記抽出溶液と接触させる前に,前記凝固した天然ゴムに前記得られた乾燥天然ゴムの0.5〜6重量%の量で前記カーボンブラックを添加する工程を更に備える請求項18に記載の方法。
