本開示は、非パラゴム(non−Hevea)植物から天然ゴムラテックスを抽出するためのシステム及び方法に関し、より詳細には、グアユール低木から天然ゴムラテックスを抽出するための押出ベースのシステム及び方法に関する。
「パラゴムノキ(Hevea tree)」又は「ゴムノキ」としても知られる植物ヘベアブラジリエンシス(Hevea brasiliensis)は、周知の天然ゴム源である。米国における天然ゴムの消費量は、大部分がパラゴムノキから得られる。パラゴムノキ並びに他の植物、例えばフィカスエラスティカ(Ficus elastic)、即ち「インドゴムノキ」及びクリプトステジアグランディフローラ(Cryptostegia grandiflora)、即ち「マダガスカルゴムカズラ」などのゴム源はすべて、ゴムラテックスを含有する樹液の形態で天然ゴムを生じ、樹液は自発的に流れ、植物のタッピングによって回収することができる。

Claims (20)
- ラテックス処理方法であって、ラテックス及び少なくとも1つの溶媒配合物を押出機内で混合して、前記ラテックス中に見出される樹脂を除去し、前記ラテックスを凝固させて凝塊を形成するステップを含み、前記少なくとも1つの溶媒配合物が前記ラテックスを凝固させるように構成された第1の溶媒及び前記得られた凝塊を膨潤させるように構成された第2の溶媒を含み、前記少なくとも1つの溶媒配合物が、天然ゴムを溶解させないが天然ゴムを膨潤させる、ラテックス処理方法。

天然ゴムを提供するために、前記押出機の前記第2の端部を通じて前記凝塊を押出す、ステップ、

- 前記第2の溶媒配合物がアセトン及びヘキサンを含み、前記アセトン中のヘキサン重量分率が5%〜25%である、請求項16に記載のラテックス処理方法。
- 前記第3の溶媒配合物が、アセトン及びヘキサンを含み、前記作用におけるヘキサンの重量分率が10%〜20%である、請求項16に記載のラテックス処理方法。
