Abstract
【解決手段】前記シートは被覆されてないときには可視光に対して実質的に透過性(透明)であり、このシートが、(a)その少なくとも片側の表面上の、その上への印刷適性を促進するための、第一被覆;(b)水性媒体中に分散可能な接着剤を含む第二被覆;および、場合によっては、(c)シートを通しての透水性を改質するための第三被覆を含むことを特徴とする、前記ラベルが記載される。このラベルはガラス容器のような物品に適用されるはずである。好ましいラベルはウェットグルーセルロースラベルであり、たとえば、その場合、第一被覆は透水性と、従って物品上でのラベルの迅速乾燥とを促進するために、塩化ビニルと酢酸ビニルの共重合体も含む。

Description
(a)その少なくとも片側の表面上の、その上への印刷適性を促進するための、第一被覆;
(b)水性媒体中に分散可能な接着剤を含む第二被覆;および、場合によっては、
(c)シートを通しての透水性を改質するための第三被覆;
を含むことを特徴とする、前記ラベルが提供される。
デンプン(広く植物の中に存在する)は、グルコースから誘導された2つのポリマー: アミロース(約100〜約1000個連結したグルコース分子を含む直鎖を構成する)とアミロペクチン(グルコース分子の高度に枝分かれした鎖を構成する)の様々な割合から成ってもよい。
グリコーゲン(動物性デンプンとしても知られる)は動物組織の中に存在することができるグルコースの高度に枝分かれしたポリマーからなる。
セルロースはグルコース単位の長い非分枝鎖からなる。
キチンはN−アセチル−D−グルコサミン(グルコースの誘導体)の鎖からなり、そして構造的にはセルロースに非常に似ている。
フルクタンは或る植物の中に貯えられているであろうフルクトースから誘導されたポリサッカライドからなる。
イヌリンは多数の植物の根または塊茎の中に貯えられているであろうフルクトースから誘導されたポリサッカライドからなる。
リグニンは堅さ(rigidity)を与えるように植物細胞壁のセルロースの内部に堆積されているであろう複合有機重合体からなる。
ペクチンのようなペクチン質は植物細胞壁の重要成分であろう糖酸から主としてつくられたポリサッカライドからなる。通常それらは不溶性形態で存在するが、可溶性形態に変化するかもしれない(例えば、植物の成熟(ripening)中に)。
ポリ乳酸および/またはポリガラクチック重合体などは、ポリ乳酸;ポリガラクチック酸および/または類似のポリマーから得られた、及び/又はから得ることが可能である、及び/又はからなる、それら重合体鎖および/または架橋重合体網目構造からなり、そして合成で製造および/または天然で産出されてもよい。
本発明のラベルはフィルムの一面または二面を被覆されてもよいが、二面被覆が好ましい。二面被覆フィルムはより安定であり、そしてチリメンじわ又は折りじわのような問題をより起こらず、より美的な外観のラベルを生じる。
脂肪酸、たとえば、ベヘン酸;
脂肪酸エステルアミド(アミドワックス)、たとえば、ランコ(Lanco)ワックスE2Sの商品名で商業的に入手できるもの;
水素化ヒマシ油;
燐酸のモノおよびジエステル、たとえば、クロダフォス(Crodafos)S2の商品名で商業的に入手できるもの;
マレイン酸;類似の酸および/またはエステル、および/またはそれらの塩および/またはそれらのその他の簡単な誘導体;および/または
無機物質、たとえば、クレー、たとえば、チャイナクレー。
(a)バイオポリマーシートをその少なくとも片側の表面を、接着剤がその中に分散されている水性組成物で被覆し;
(b)そのシートの、少なくとも反対側の表面を、場合によっては両側の表面を、それの印刷適性を改良するように処理し;
(c)そのフィルムを乾燥して過剰の水を除去し;
(d)そのラベルを物品に適用し;そして
(e)場合によっては、物品を乾燥してそれの上にラベルを固着させる
工程を含む前記方法が構成される。
マンガン(たとえば、MnSO4)触媒をそこに混入して含有している苛性ソーダ(NaOH)溶液に木材パルプ(通常、シートとして)を添加した。この混合物を攪拌してスラリにし、それをプレス機に通して供給して、そこでそれを圧縮してアルカリセルロースの連続マットを製造し、それを裁断機に運んで破断して小片(crumb)にした。その小片を大きなコンベアベルトによって、コントロールされた給湿雰囲気を通ってゆっくり供給して化学的に熟成させた。いずれかのメカニズムによって拘束されることを望むものではないが、パルプの中の大きな架橋リグニン木材繊維の構造はNaOHによって(MnSO4触媒の助けをもって)酸化されて化学的に破断されてもっと小さなサイズ(ミクロンサイズ)の粒子になった。この熟成されたアルカリセルロース混合物を周囲温度に冷却し、そして圧力容器に加えた。それから、減圧下のアルカリセルロースに二硫化炭素を添加したら、セルロースキサントゲン酸ナトリウムが形成されたので混合物は白色から橙黄色に転じた。この混合物に弱い苛性ソーダ溶液の測定量を添加し、それを濃厚な橙色液体(未熟ビスコース(unripe viscose)としても知られる)になるまで攪拌した。未熟ビスコースを均質化し、濾過し、脱気し、そしてもう一度濾過して清浄な明澄液体(純ビスコース(pure viscose)としても知られる)を生成した、それを下記に記載されている通りにキャストして高度に透明な可撓性セルロースフィルムにした。着色した又は不透明なセルロースフィルムを望む場合には、フィルムのキャスティング前に、純ビスコースに適切な着色剤および/または不透明化剤が、フィルム全体の中に組み込まれることを望まれているあらゆるその他の適合性の且つ適切な成分と同じように、添加されてもよいということも認識されるであろう。
ビスコース(上記のように生成された)を加圧下でジェットによって希硫酸の浴の中に押出してセルロースフィルムの連続ウェブを再生した。初期には不透明で且つもろかったフィルムウェブを引き続いて様々な浴(たとえば、酸、水、硫化ナトリウム、水、漂白剤、水および柔軟剤の)の中に及び多数のローラー(代表的には250以上)の上に通して不純物を除去し、二硫化炭素の回収しおよび/またはウェブを洗浄したので、製造された最終フィルムは所期の強度および可撓性を有した。湿潤セルロースフィルムのウェブが最終浴から出たら、そのウェブを温風の中で乾燥して過剰の水を除去し、それから(最終フィルムの最適性質を確保するため最終フィルム中の水分の正確な量をコントロールするために)湿り空気の中でコンディショニングした。このフィルムウェブは更なる任意的な被覆をもって化学的に結合させるためのアンカーを付与するために場合によって(たとえば、コロナ放電によって)処理されてもよく、それから、このウェブをローラーに巻いて再生セルロースフィルムの最終キャストロールを製造した。所期の最終用途に依存して、セルロースフィルムは更なる処理および/または被覆なしで使用されてもよい。
防湿性、ヒートシール適性、および/または機械適性(machineability)のようなセルロースフィルムの適切な或る諸性質を達成するためには、場合によっては、フィルムの片面または両面が例えば溶剤および/または水性分散物から適用されてもよい一つまたはそれ以上の被覆で被覆されてもよい。適する被覆は通常のニトロセルロース、塩化ビニルおよび/または酢酸ビニル被覆のような意図された用途に適しているいずれをも包含する。

Claims (15)
- バイオポリマーの自己支持性シートを含むラベルであって、前記シートは被覆されてないときには可視光に対して実質的に透過性(透明)であり、このシートが、
(a)その少なくとも片側の表面上の、その上への印刷適性を促進するための、第一被覆;
(b)水性媒体中へ分散可能な接着剤を含む第二被覆;および、場合によっては、
(c)シートを通しての透水性を改質するための第三被覆;
を含むことを特徴とする、前記ラベル。 - 第一被覆と第三被覆が同じものである、請求項1のラベル。
- シートの両側の表面を、合わされた第一と第三の被覆で被覆した、請求項2のラベル。
- 約50〜約600 g/m2・日の透水性(38℃および相対湿度90%で標準試験ASTM E96で測定されたもの)を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項のラベル。
- 約100〜約400 g/m2・日の透水性を有する、請求項4のラベル。
- バイオポリマーシートが、セルロース、セルロース誘導体および/またはポリ乳酸からつくられたフィルムを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項のラベル。
- バイオポリマーシートが2層積層体である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項のラベル。
- 少なくとも約2000 NMm-2(バイオポリマーシートの縦方向で測定されたもの)または少なくとも約1000 NMm-2(バイオポリマーシートの横断方向で測定されたもの)どちらかの1%割線弾性率(標準試験ASTM D882で測定されたもの)を有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項のラベル。
- 第一と第二と場合によって存在する第三の被覆が全て透明である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項のラベル。
- さらに、シートの裏面に金属化層を含み、その層がバイオポリマーシート(および場合によっては、その上の第一および/または第三の被覆の上面)と第二接着剤層との間に配置されている、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項のラベル。
- ラベルを製造および/または適用する方法であって、
(a)バイオポリマーシートをその少なくとも片側の表面に、接着剤がその中に分散されている水性組成物で被覆し;
(b)そのシートの少なくとも反対側の表面を、場合によっては両側の表面を、それの印刷適性を改善するように処理し;
(c)そのフィルムを乾燥して過剰の水を除去し;
(d)そのラベルを物品に適用し;そして
(e)場合によっては物品を乾燥してそこにラベルを固着させる
工程を含む前記方法。 - バイオポリマーシートが、セルロース、セルロース誘導体および/またはポリ乳酸からつくられたフィルムを含む、請求項11の方法。
- (i)請求項11または12どちらかの方法によって製造され、および/または
(ii)そこに水性接着剤組成物によって固定された請求項1〜10のいずれか一項のラベルを含む、
物品。 - ガラス容器を構成する、請求項13の物品。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項のラベルを剥離ライナーに隣接して含むラベルフェースストック。
