Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の粉体は、ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子およびその凝集体を含有するスラリーを乾燥して、これらを造粒することにより得られた、主としてハイドロキシアパタイトで構成されるものであり、当該粉体の嵩密度が0.65g/mL以上であり、かつ、比表面積が70m2/g以上であることを特徴とする。

Description
(1) ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子およびその凝集体を含有するスラリーを乾燥して、これらを造粒することにより得られた、主としてハイドロキシアパタイトで構成される粉体であって、
当該粉体の嵩密度が0.65g/mL以上であり、かつ、比表面積が70m2/g以上であることを特徴とする粉体。
このように真球度が高い粉体を、例えば、吸着装置が備える吸着剤として適用すると、吸着装置が有する吸着剤充填空間への粉体の充填率を向上させることができる。
これにより、焼結粉体の比表面積を確実に大きくすることができる。
カルシウム源を含有する第1の液と、リン源を含有する第2の液とを攪拌しつつ反応させて、ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子およびその凝集体を含むスラリーを得る第1の工程と、
前記スラリーに含まれる前記凝集体を物理的に粉砕し、粉砕された前記凝集体を前記スラリー中に分散させる第2の工程と、
前記スラリーを乾燥して、粉砕された前記凝集体を造粒させることにより、主として前記ハイドロキシアパタイトの二次粒子で構成される粉体を得る第3の工程とを有することを特徴とする粉体の製造方法。
これにより、信頼性の高い吸着装置が得られる。
なお、以下では、カルシウム源として水酸化カルシウムを用い、リン酸源としてリン酸を用いる場合を一例に説明する。
この工程では、水酸化カルシウムを含有する水酸化カルシウム分散液(第1の液)と、リン酸を含有するリン酸水溶液(第2の液)とを、攪拌しつつ、水酸化カルシウムとリン酸とを反応させ、ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子の凝集体を含むスラリーを得る。
この工程では、前記工程[S1]で得られたスラリー中に含まれる、ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子の凝集体を物理的に粉砕し、粉砕された凝集体をこのスラリー中に分散する。
この工程では、前記工程[S2]を経た、粉砕された凝集体を含有するスラリーを乾燥することにより、粉砕された凝集体を造粒させて、主としてハイドロキシアパタイトの二次粒子で構成される粉体(乾燥粉体)を得る。
1.粒径40μmのハイドロキシアパタイトの製造
(実施例1)
[1A] まず、水酸化カルシウム2400gを純水60Lに分散させ、この水酸化カルシウム分散液をタンクに入れて攪拌しつつ、このものにリン酸水溶液(リン酸濃度85wt%)4Lを1L/時間の速度で滴下した。これにより、10wt%のハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子が凝集した凝集体を含有するスラリーを得た。
また、前記分散液にリン酸水溶液を滴下した混合液を攪拌する攪拌力は、混合液(スラリー)1Lに対して1.7Wの出力とした。
その結果を、図2に示す。
前記工程[2A]、すなわち、スラリー中に含まれる凝集体の粉砕を省略したこと以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして、中心粒径約40μmのハイドロキシアパタイトの二次粒子(乾燥粉体)およびその焼結粉体を得た。
2−1.乾燥粉体および焼結粉体の嵩密度の評価
実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体(二次粒子)、400℃および700℃の焼結温度で焼結した焼結粉体について、それぞれ、1.256mLのステンレスチューブに100回タッピングして充填し、充填重量を測定することで、これらの嵩密度を求めた。
その測定結果を表1に示す。
実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体(二次粒子)、400℃および700℃の焼結温度で焼結した焼結粉体について、それぞれ、全自動BET比表面積測定装置(マウンテック社製、「Macsorb HM1201」)を用いて、これらの比表面積を求めた。
その測定結果を表2に示す。
実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体(二次粒子)、400℃および700℃の焼結温度で焼結した焼結粉体について、それぞれ、フロー式粒子像分析装置(シスメックス社製、「FPIA−3000」)を用いて、これらの真球度を求めた。
また、実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体の電子顕微鏡写真を図3に示す。
実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体における表面付近の電子顕微鏡写真を図4に示す。
その測定結果を図5に示す。
実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体(二次粒子)、400℃および700℃の焼結温度で焼結した焼結粉体について、それぞれ、マルチテスター(セイシン企業社製、「MT−1001」)を用いて、これらの安息角を求めた。
その測定結果を表4に示す。
実施例1および比較例1の乾燥粉体(二次粒子)、400℃および700℃の焼結温度で焼結した焼結粉体について、それぞれ、微小圧縮試験機(島津製作所社製、「MCT−W200−J」)を用いて、その圧縮粒子強度を求めた。
その測定結果を表5に示す。
以上のように、前記工程[2A]において、スラリー中に含まれる凝集体を粉砕して、凝集体の粒子径を小さくすることにより、形成される乾燥粉体および焼結粉体の嵩密度および比表面積の双方を向上し得ることが判った。
(実施例2)
[1B] まず、前記[1A]と同様にして、10wt%のハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子が凝集した凝集体を含有するスラリーを得た。
前記工程[2B]、すなわち、スラリー中に含まれる凝集体の粉砕を省略したこと以外は、前記実施例2と同様にして、ハイドロキシアパタイトの二次粒子(乾燥粉体)を得た。
実施例2および比較例2の乾燥粉体の電子顕微鏡写真を図6に示す。

Claims (10)
- ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子およびその凝集体を含有するスラリーを乾燥して、これらを造粒することにより得られた、主としてハイドロキシアパタイトで構成される粉体であって、
当該粉体の嵩密度が0.65g/mL以上であり、かつ、比表面積が70m2/g以上であることを特徴とする粉体。 - 前記粉体の真球度は、0.95〜1.00である請求項1に記載の粉体。
- 前記粉体を平均粒径40±4μmの大きさに分級し、分級された前記粉体の安息角を測定したとき、前記安息角が27°以下である請求項1または2に記載の粉体。
- 前記粉体を700℃で焼成して得られた焼結粉体を、平均粒径40±4μmの大きさに分級し、圧縮粒子強度を測定したとき、前記圧縮粒子強度が9.0MPa超である請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の粉体。
- 前記粉体を700℃で焼成して得られた焼結粉体は、その表面に形成される細孔の平均孔径が、0.07μm以下である請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の粉体。
- 前記粉体の平均粒径は、2〜100μmである請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の粉体。
- 請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の粉体を製造する粉体の製造方法であって、
カルシウム源を含有する第1の液と、リン源を含有する第2の液とを攪拌しつつ反応させて、ハイドロキシアパタイトの一次粒子およびその凝集体を含むスラリーを得る第1の工程と、
前記スラリーに含まれる前記凝集体を物理的に粉砕し、粉砕された前記凝集体を前記スラリー中に分散させる第2の工程と、
前記スラリーを乾燥して、粉砕された前記凝集体を造粒させることにより、主として前記ハイドロキシアパタイトの二次粒子で構成される粉体を得る第3の工程とを有することを特徴とする粉体の製造方法。 - 前記第2の工程において、前記凝集体の物理的な粉砕は、高圧力で噴霧した前記スラリーの液滴同士を衝突させる湿式ジェットミル法により行われる請求項7に記載の粉体の製造方法。
- 前記第2の工程において、粉砕された前記凝集体の平均粒子径は、1μm以下である請求項7または8に記載の粉体の製造方法。
- 請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の粉体、または、当該粉体を焼成して得られた焼結粉体を吸着剤として備える吸着装置。
