Description
本出願は、2005年10月31日に出願された米国仮出願第60/731,474号の優先権の恩恵を主張する。
Claims (10)
- 第1の被加工物と第2の被加工物とに亘る固化した溶接金属によって画定された溶接接合部から溶接クラウンを除去するための方法であって、
第1、第2の被加工物の隣接表面に概ね垂直に延びる回転軸の周りに回転可能なミリングヘッドを有するミリング工具を、前記接合部に沿った進行方向に動くように前記接合部に近接して位置決めすることと、
前記ミリングヘッドの切削アークを前記接合部に関して設定するために、前記回転軸を含み、前記進行方向に添って延びる第1の平面内で前記回転軸を方向付けることと、
溶接金属の全長と前記第1、第2の被加工物とを所望の深さに交差させる前記切削アークにしたがって前記接合部に沿って溶接部プロファイルを切削するために前記ミリング工具を前記進行方向に動かすことと、の各ステップを備える方法。 - 前記切削アークが前記第1、第2の被加工物と交差する関係に維持されるように前記第1、第2の被加工物の間の位置合わせの偏差にしたがって前記回転軸に調整を行うステップを更に備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記回転軸は前記回転軸と前記溶接接合部に概ね垂直な線とに交差する第2の平面内で調整される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記回転軸は前記第2の平面内で傾けられる、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記調整は前記ミリング工具が前記進行方向に沿って動くにつれて連続的に行われる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ミリング工具を前記進行方向に動かす前に前記隣接表面に関して前記ミリングヘッドの切削深さを設定するように前記ミリング工具を位置決めするステップを更に備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 被加工物間の溶接接合部から溶接クラウンを除去するための装置であって、
前記装置は、
溶接クラウン位置に関して進行方向に工具を搬送するように適応した可動部材を有する工具キャリアを備え、
前記工具は前記可動部材に取り付けられたミリング工具を備えており、前記ミリング工具は回転軸の周りに回転可能な円形のミリングヘッドを有して切削アークを画定し、
前記回転軸は前記切削アークの半径がオフセット角と前記ミリングヘッドの直径とによって確定されるように、前記回転軸を含み前記進行方向に延びる第1の平面内で前記オフセット角だけ傾斜可能であり、
それによって前記工具は溶接クラウンとの切削関係において前記切削アークによって、前記進行方向に沿った前記ミリングヘッドの進行時に前記溶接クラウンに沿って溶接部プロファイルを切削するように適応する、装置。 - 前記オフセット角は調整可能である、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記ミリング工具は前記ミリングヘッドが前記進行方向に対して横方向に揺動することを可能にするように旋回可能である、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記ミリングヘッドを被加工物の表面不規則性に追従するために旋回させるように配置され構成された1対の追跡ホイールを更に備える、請求項9に記載の装置。
