Abstract
Description
本出願は、2006年10月11日出願の米国特許出願第11/548,689号、および2005年10月12日出願の米国特許仮出願第60/726,505号の特典を請求し、その全開示を引用して本明細書に組み込む。

格付けメカニズム
・ エンティティ記述詳細の量: 文字が多いほど情報が多いという仮定に基づいて、長い記述には短い記述より得点が多く与えられる。本明細書で説明する格付けシステムの一実施の形態では、このボーナス(得点が増す)は、選ばれているアルファベット符号化においてその文字を表すのに必要なバイト数とは無関係に、記述テキスト内の文字数に基づく(例えば、それにより、符号化に多くのデータを要する言語を正規化する)。記述長さが、選択可能な閾値に満たない場合、「空」または「署名のみ」のテキストの重み付けを減じる手段として、詳細ペナルティを課すことができる。

Claims (32)
- 複数の地理空間的エンティティについての情報を具備し、格付けメカニズムにより前記地理空間的エンティティに優先順位付けをするよう構成された地理情報システム(GIS)。
- 前記格付けメカニズムは、地理空間的エンティティのメタ属性についてのデータを用いて前記地理空間的エンティティの優先順位を決定する、請求項1のシステム。
- 前記メタ属性は、前記地理空間的エンティティについて利用可能な情報の質、前記地理空間的エンティティの記述の属性、および前記地理空間的エンティティの定義の属性、のうちの一つを含む、請求項2のシステム。
- 前記メタ属性は、前記地理空間的エンティティの人気度のインジケータを含む、請求項2のシステム。
- 前記メタ属性は、年令属性、名声属性、および重要性属性、のうちの一つを含む、請求項2のシステム。
- 前記メタ属性は、地理空間的エンティティの、地理空間的エンティティ階層内のその位置への関連性を含む、請求項2のシステム。
- 複数のエンティティ内のあるエンティティは、地理空間的オブジェクトの集合を含み、前記エンティティの優先順位は、地理空間的オブジェクトの前記集合の特徴に応じて決定される、請求項1のシステム。

地理空間的エンティティデータを受信することと、
前記受信した地理空間的エンティティデータ内に含まれる地理空間的エンティティの属性を評価することと、
前記評価に基づいて前記地理空間的エンティティを格付けすることと、
前記格付けした地理空間的エンティティデータを格納すること、
を具備する方法。 - 前記地理空間的エンティティデータは、コミュニティフォーラム内で生成されたデータを含む、請求項11の方法。
- 前記地理空間的エンティティデータは、特定ユーザと関係付けられるデータを含み、

前記エンティティ格付けモジュールが生成する格付けエンティティデータを格納するためのデータベースと、
を備えるシステム。 - 前記インターフェースは、前記格付けエンティティデータをリクエストしているアプリケーションに提供するよう構成される、請求項21のシステム。

を備えるモジュール。 - 前記クライアント装置のユーザについてのデータを格納するためのメモリを更に備え、前記格付けエンジンは、前記ユーザについてのデータに応じて格付けメカニズムを適用するよう構成される、請求項28のモジュール。
