Abstract
【解決手段】 ナックル3の取付口3aに接続される外輪2aと、車輪にハブ5を介して接続される内輪2bと、外輪2aと内輪2bとの間に介在される転動体2cと、内外輪間を外部から密封するための密封装置4と、を備えた転がり軸受2において、転がり軸受2には、内輪2bとともに回転可能に設けられるドライブシャフト6とナックル3との間に存在する隙間X1から転がり軸受2側に浸入する異物を規制するためのシール部8が設けられ、該シール部8は円環状に形成されるカバー8aからなり、該カバー8aは外輪2aに圧入嵌装される円筒部8bと、該円筒部8bの端部から径方向内方に延設される環状立壁部8cからなり、該環状立壁部8cの内径端に、ドライブシャフト6の外周面6aとで協働してシール機能を発揮させるアウターリップ部8dを設ける。

Claims (4)
- 車両インナー側のナックルの取付口に接続される外輪と、車両アウター側の車輪にハブを介して接続される内輪と、前記外輪と前記内輪との間に介在される転動体と、前記内外輪間を外部から密封するための密封装置と、を備えた転がり軸受において、
前記内輪とともに回転可能に設けられるドライブシャフトと前記ナックルとの間に存在する隙間から前記転がり軸受側に浸入する異物を規制するためのシール部が設けられ、
該シール部は弾性体からなる円環状のシール本体と、そのシール本体と一体的に設けられる円環状のカバーとの複合構造とされ、
該カバーは、前記外輪の外周面又は内周面に圧入嵌装される円筒部と、
該円筒部と連設される環状立壁部とで構成され、
該環状立壁部に前記シール本体が一体化され、該シール本体には、前記ドライブシャフト又は前記内輪の外周面とで協働してシール機能を発揮させるアウターリップ部を備えたことを特徴とする転がり軸受装置。 - 前記環状立壁部におけるシール本体に替えて、前記ドライブシャフトの外周面とで協働してラビリンスシール機能を発揮させるスカート部を、前記環状立壁部から車両インナー側へ延設させたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の転がり軸受装置。
- 車両インナー側のナックルの取付口に接続される外輪と、車両アウター側の車輪にハブを介して接続される内輪と、前記外輪と前記内輪との間に介在される転動体と、前記内外輪間を外部から密封するための密封装置と、を備えた転がり軸受において、
前記密封装置は、外輪の内周面に嵌装されるアウターケースと、前記内輪の外周面に嵌装されるインナーケースとからなり、前記アウターケースには、前記インナーケースと協働してシール機能を発揮させる弾性体からなるインナーリップ部が設けられ、
前記インナーケースには、前記ドライブシャフトの外周面とで協働してシール機能を発揮させる弾性体からなるアウターリップ部が設けられたことを特徴とする転がり軸受装置。 - 前記インナーケースのアウターリップ部に替えて、前記ドライブシャフトの外周面とで協働してラビリンスシール機能を発揮させるスカート部を、前記インナーケースから車両インナー側へ延設させたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の転がり軸受装置。
