Abstract
【解決手段】 フォトダイオードPDを含む画素を2次元状に配列された画素部100 において、被写体像に係る画像信号が出力される有効画素領域101 に、画素の入射光量によらないノイズ信号を出力するノイズ抽出用の画素111-2 を、有効画素領域内のN×N(Nは2以上の整数)画素を単位ブロック100aとしたとき、その単位ブロック内の各行及び各列に少なくとも1画素設けて、複数2次元に分散させて配置して固体撮像素子を構成する。

Description
まず、実施例1について説明する。図1は、本発明に係る固体撮像システムの実施例1の構成を示すブロック図である。図1において、1は撮影のための撮像光学系であり、光学系制御回路12により焦点距離や絞りが制御される。2は固体撮像素子であり、その駆動は駆動回路8により制御される。そして、固体撮像素子2は、撮像光学系1によって結像される被写体像を画像信号として出力する。また、固体撮像素子2の有効画素領域には、後で詳述するように、ノイズ信号を出力するノイズ抽出用の画素が複数設けられている。
次に、本発明に係る固体撮像システムの実施例2について説明する。実施例2は、実施例1と被写体の態様が異なる場合の動作手法に関するものであり、ここで用いられる固体撮像システム自体の構成は、図1に示した実施例1と同じであるので、その説明は省略する。実施例2は、具体的には被写体像が全体に暗く、露光時間が長い、いわゆる長秒露光を要する場合の動作手法に関するものである。図9に被写体の態様を示す。図9に示す被写体は夜景であり、全体に像が暗いので撮影に際しては露光時間を長くしなければならず、そのため、固体撮像素子2の画素で発生する暗電流のばらつきによるムラ状のパターンがノイズとなる。

Claims (6)
- 光電変換素子を含む画素が2次元状に配列された画素領域内の被写体像に係る画像信号が出力される有効画素領域に、画素の、入射光量によらないノイズ信号を出力するノイズ抽出用の画素が複数、前記有効画素領域内のN×N(Nは2以上の整数)画素を単位ブロックとしたとき、その単位ブロック内の各行及び各列に少なくとも1画素設けて2次元に分散させて配置されてなる固体撮像素子。
- 前記有効画素領域の画素は、複数色の色画素を含んでおり、前記ノイズ抽出用の画素は、色毎に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に係る固体撮像素子。
- 前記有効画素領域の画素は、複数色の色画素を含んでおり、前記ノイズ抽出用の画素は、特定の色画素にのみ設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に係る固体撮像素子。
- 前記ノイズ抽出用の画素は、遮光されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に係る固体撮像素子。
- 前記画素の動作を制御する制御手段を更に有し、前記ノイズ抽出用の画素は、前記制御手段の制御により前記画像信号もしくは前記ノイズ信号のいずれか一方を出力することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に係る固体撮像素子。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に係る固体撮像素子と、前記ノイズ信号から補正用画像信号を生成する補正用画像生成手段と、前記画像信号を前記補正用画像信号にて補正する補正手段とを有する固体撮像システム。
