Abstract
【解決手段】鉱油及び/または合成油から選ばれる少なくとも1種の基油に、アミンと炭素数12〜30の飽和モノカルボン酸または炭素数18〜24の不飽和モノカルボン酸とを反応させて得た酸アミド、ザルコシン酸、またはアスパラギン酸誘導体の群から選ばれる添加剤を、少なくとも1種含有させることによって、潤滑油組成物にする。
この潤滑油組成物はセラミックス球転がり軸受の潤滑に好適である。

更に、リン含有カルボン酸、リン含有カルボン酸エステル、酸性リン酸エステル、酸性リン酸エステルのアミン塩、亜リン酸エステル、ホスフォロチオネート、チオリン酸エステル、チオリン酸金属塩、チオカルバミン酸エステル、またはチオカルバミン酸の金属塩のうち、少なくとも1種を組み合わせて使用することにより、セラミックス/鉄鋼間の潤滑性に優れ、尚且つ優良な防錆性を有する潤滑油組成物を得ることができる。
また、芳香族アミン化合物、フェノール系化合物をさらに含有させることによって、十分に長い酸化寿命を有する潤滑油組成物とすることができる。
鉱油としては、例えば、原油を常圧蒸留及び減圧蒸留して得られた潤滑油留分を、溶剤脱れき、溶剤抽出、水素化分解、溶剤脱ろう、接触脱ろう、水素化精製、硫酸洗浄、白土処理等の精製処理を適宜組み合わせて精製したパラフィン系などの油を挙げることができる。
ここで使用する基油は、全硫黄分が1質量%以下、好ましくは500質量ppm以下、より好ましくは300質量ppm以下、一層好ましくは50質量ppm以下がよい。また15℃における密度は0.8〜0.9g/cm3、好ましくは0.8〜0.865g/cm3、より好ましくは0.81〜0.84g/cm3がよい。芳香族分は3%未満、好ましくは2%未満、より好ましくは0.1%未満がよい。
これら合成基油の粘度は特に制限されないが、40℃における動粘度は、好ましくは2〜680mm2/s、より好ましくは8〜220mm2/sである。
X3は1〜30個の炭素原子からなるアルキル基、若しくはエーテル結合を有するアルキル基、若しくはヒドロキシアルキル基である。例えば、オクタデシル基、アルコキシプロピル基、ヒドロカーボンの炭素数が6〜18でありかつアルキル基が炭素数3〜6である3−ヒドロカーボンオキシアルキル基、更に好ましくは、シクロヘキシルオキシプロピル基、3−オクチルオキシプロピル基、3−イソオクチルオキシプロピル基、3−デシルオキシプロピル基、3−イソデシルオキシプロピル基、3−ドデシルオキシプロピル基、3−テトラデシルオキシシプロピル基、3−ヘキサデシルオキシシプロピル基がよい。
X4は1〜30個の炭素原子からなる飽和、若しくは不飽和カルボン酸基、若しくは1〜30個の炭素原子からなるアルキル基、若しくはアルケニル基、若しくはヒドロキシアルキル基である。例えばプロピオン酸基やプロピオニル酸基がよい。
リン含有カルボン酸化合物の含有量が前記下限値未満では十分な潤滑性が得られない傾向にある。一方、前記上限値を超えて加えても含有量に見合う潤滑性向上効果が得られない傾向にあり、更には熱・酸化安定性や加水分解安定性が低下するおそれがあるので好ましくない。
ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の具体例としては、ジプロピルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジブチルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジペンチルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジヘキシルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジイソペンチルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジエチルヘキシルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジオクチルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジノニルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジデシルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジドデシルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジプロピルフェニルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジペンチルフェニルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジプロピルメチルフェニルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジノニルフェニルジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジドデシルフェニルジチオリン酸亜鉛、等が挙げられる。
ジアルキルジチオリン酸モリブデンの具体例としては、ジプロピルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジブチルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジペンチルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジヘキシルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジイソペンチルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジエチルヘキシルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジオクチルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジノニルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジデシルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジドデシルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジプロピルフェニルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジペンチルフェニルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジプロピルメチルフェニルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジノニルフェニルジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジドデシルフェニルジチオリン酸モリブデン、等が挙げられる。
ジチオカルバミン酸エステルとして、具体的には、メチルジブチルジチオカルバメート、エチルジプロピルジチオカルバメート、デシルジブチルジチオカルバメート、ヘキシルジデシルジチオカルバメート、オクタデシルジイソプロピルジチオカルバメート、オクチルメチルプロピルジチオカルバメートおよびイソブチルプロピル−デシルジチオカルバメート等を挙げることができる。
また、3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシベンジルメルカプト−オクチルアセテート、n−オクタデシル−3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート(吉富製薬社製:ヨシノックスSS)、n−ドデシル−3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート、2’−エチルヘキシル−3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート、ベンゼンプロパン酸3,5−ビス(1,1−ジメチル−エチル)−4−ヒドロキシ−炭素数7〜炭素数9側鎖アルキルエステル(チバ・スペシャルティ・ケミカルズ社製:IrganoxL135)などのアルキル−3−(3,5−ジ−t−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート類、2,6−ジ−t−ブチル−α−ジメチルアミノ−p−クレゾール、2,2’−メチレンビス(4−メチル−6−t−ブチルフェノール)(川口化学社製:アンテージW−400)、2,2’−メチレンビス(4−エチル−6−t−ブチルフェノール)(川口化学社製:アンテージW−500)などの2,2’−メチレンビス(4−アルキル−6−t−ブチルフェノール)類がある。

これらの金属不活性剤は、基油100質量%に対して、0.01〜0.5質量%の範囲で単独又は複数組み合わせて使用できる。
例えば、グリセロールエステルとして、グリセロールモノラウリレート、グリセロールモノステアレート、グリセロールモノパルミテート、グリセロールモノオレート、グリセロールジラウリレート、グリセロールジステアレート、グリセロールジパルミテート、グリセロールジオレート等がある。
ソルビトールエステルとしては、ソルビトールモノラウリレート、ソルビトールモノパルミテート、ソルビトールモノステアレート、ソルビトールモノオレート、ソルビトールジラウリレート、ソルビトールジパルミテート、ソルビトールジステアレート、ソルビトールジオレート、ソルビトールトリステアレート、ソルビトールトリラウリレート、ソルビトールトリオレート、ソルビトールテトラオレート等が挙げられる。
アルキレングリコールエステルとしては、エチレングリコールモノラウリレート、エチレングリコールモノステアレート、エチレングリコールモノオレート、エチレングリコールジラウリレート、エチレングリコールジステアレート、エチレングリコールジオレート、プロピレングリコールモノラウリレート、プロピレングリコールモノステアレート、プロピレングリコールモノオレート、プロピレングリコールジラウリレート、プロピレングリコールジステアレート、プロピレングリコールジオレート等がある。
ネオペンチルグリコールエステルとしては、ネオペンチルグリコールモノラウリレート、ネオペンチルグリコールモノステアレート、ネオペンチルグリコールモノオレート、ネオペンチルグリコールジラウリレート、ネオペンチルグリコールジステアレート、ネオペンチルグリコールジオレート等が挙げられる。
トリメチロールプロパンエステルとしては、トリメチロールプロパンモノラウリレート、トリメチロールプロパンモノステアレート、トリメチロールプロパンモノオレート、トリメチロールプロパンジラウリレート、トリメチロールプロパンジステアレート、トリメチロールプロパンジオレート、ペンタエリスリトールモノラウリレート等がある。
ペンタエリスリトールエステルとしては、ペンタエリスリトールモノステアレート、ペンタエリスリトールモノオレート、ペンタエリスリトールジラウリレート、ペンタエリスリトールジステアレート、ペンタエリスリトールジオレート、ジペンタエリスリトールモノオレート等がある。
こうした多価アルコールの脂肪酸エステルとしては、好ましくは多価アルコールと不飽和脂肪酸との部分エステルを用いるとよい。
粘度指数向上剤としては、例えばポリメタクリレート類やエチレン−プロピレン共重合体、スチレン−ジエン共重合体、ポリイソブチレン、ポリスチレンなどのオレフィンポリマー類等の非分散型粘度指数向上剤や、これらに含窒素モノマーを共重合させた分散型粘度指数向上剤等が挙げられる。その添加量は、基油100質量%に対して、0.05〜20質量%の範囲で使用できる。
流動点降下剤としては、例えばポリメタクリレート系のポリマーが挙げられる。その添加量は、基油100質量%に対して、0.01〜5質量%の範囲で使用できる。
(1)基油A:合成基油・PAO(ポリαオレフィン)(特性:100℃における動粘度;6.36mm2/s、粘度指数;136、全硫黄分(硫黄元素換算値);5質量ppm未満)
(2)基油B:グループ1のパラフィン系鉱油;原油を減圧蒸留して得られた潤滑油留分に対して、溶剤脱ろうなどの精製手段を適宜組み合わせて適用することにより得られたパラフィン系鉱油であるHVI60(登録商標)とHVI160S(登録商標)を調合し粘度をISO VG#32に調整したもの(特性:100℃における動粘度;5.45mm2/s、粘度指数;104、全硫黄分(硫黄元素換算値);0.5質量%=5000質量ppm)
(3)基油C:天然ガスの液体燃料化技術のフィッシャートロプッシュ法により合成されたGTL(ガストゥリキッド)基油を調合し、粘度をISO VG#32に調整したもの(特性:100℃における動粘度;6.25mm2/s、粘度指数;145、全硫黄分(硫黄元素換算値);10質量ppm未満)

上記実施例1〜17、比較例1〜5の各潤滑油組成物について、その特性を知るために、40℃の動粘度(JIS K2283に基づく)、100℃の動粘度(JIS K2283に基づく)、粘度指数(JIS K2283に基づく)、及び酸価(JIS K2501に基づく)を測定した。
各測定結果を表1〜表5に記載した。
実施例1〜17及び比較例1〜5の各潤滑油組成物を用いて、その性能を見るために以下の試験を行った。
JIS K2510に基づき、恒温槽内に設置した容器に、試料油300mlを採取し、毎分1000回転で攪拌する。60℃になったときに、鉄製の試験片を試料油中に挿入し、更に人工海水を30ml加え、60℃に保ったまま24時間攪拌を続け、その後試験片を取り出し、試験片のさびの発生状態を目視で評価した。
評価基準は下記によった。
錆なし;錆の発生が見られない(0%)
軽 微;1mm以下の点さびが6個以下
中 度;上記軽微を超え、表面積の5%未満
高 度;上記中度を超え、表面積の5%以上
ASTM D 4172で標準化された試験方法により、シェル4球摩耗試験を行い、各潤滑油組成物の潤滑性を評価した。従来のシェル4球摩耗試験は、試験条件が1200m-1ないし1800m-1と比較的低回転数(すべり速度)で行なわれているが、実際の使用条件を鑑み、より苛酷な下記の試験条件で実施し、測定した油温の上昇速度、最大トルク、摩擦係数及び固定球の摩耗痕径の値を潤滑性能評価の指標とした。
<試験条件>
試験球: 回転球をセラミックス(Si3N4)とし、固定球を軸受鋼(SUJ−2)とした。
荷重(P): 40.0kgf(=392N)
回転数: 6,000m−1
試験時間: 30分
温 度: 室温(試験開始時)
測 定: 試験開始から終了までの間、摩擦トルク(摩擦係数)及び試験油温、室温を自動計測し、油温上昇速度(℃/10s)、最大トルク(kgf・cm)、及び摩擦係数を下記の式によって求めた。また、試験終了後にSUJ−2球(固定球)の摩耗痕径を測定した。

各試験結果を表1〜表5に示す。
実施例1の基油A(PAO)に添加剤A1のポリアルキレンポリアミドを配合したものでは、錆の発生が見られず、シェル4球摩耗試験における結果も良好である。また、実施例1に添加剤C1、C2の酸化防止剤を加えた実施例2のものでは、摩耗痕径が小さくなっている。実施例2の添加剤A1に代えて、添加剤A2のオレイルザルコシン酸を使用した実施例3、添加剤A3のアスパラギン酸誘導体を使用した実施例4のものも、錆の発生が見られず、シェル4球摩耗試験における結果も良好である。
上記実施例2、3、4に示すものに、添加剤B1のβ−ジチオホスホリル化プロピオン酸を加えた実施例5、6、7のものでは、錆の発生が見られず、シェル4球摩耗試験における結果も良好であり、摩耗痕径が小さくなっている。
実施例8、9は、実施例5の基油Aを基油Bのグループ1のパラフィン系鉱油、基油CのGTL基油に変更したものであるが、実施例5とほぼ同様の良好な結果が得られている。
実施例10は、実施例5の添加剤B1に代えて添加剤B2のオクチルアシッドフォスフェートを使用したものであり、これも潤滑油組成物として使用することが可能である。
実施例11、12は、実施例10の添加剤A1の代わりに、添加剤A1+A2、添加剤A1+A3と、両者を併用したものであって、実施例10よりも更に良好な結果が得られている。
実施例13〜17は、実施例10の添加剤B2のオクチルアシッドフォスフェートに代えて、順次、添加剤B3のジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、添加剤B4のジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛、添加剤B5のジアルキルジチオリン酸モリブデン、添加剤B6のジアルキルジチオカルバミン酸モリブデン、添加剤B7のジアルキルジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンを使用したものであり、これらのものも潤滑油組成物として好適に使用することが可能である。
上記実施例中、特にセラミックス球転がり軸受用の潤滑油組成物としても好適なものは、実施例5〜12に示すものである。
一方、比較例1の基油Aでは錆止め性試験において、高度の錆が発生しており、シェル4球摩耗試験においても油温上昇速度、最大トルク、摩擦係数が大きく、摩耗痕径も大きくて悪い結果が出ている。比較例2の基油Aに添加剤C1のアルキル化ジフェニルアミンと添加剤C2のフェノール系酸化防止剤を加えたものでは、シェル4球摩耗試験において良い結果が得られているが、錆止め性試験において高度の錆が発生している。比較例3の添加剤A4の合成系Caスルフォネートと、上記添加剤C1+C2を使用したものでは、錆止め性試験において錆は発生していないが、シェル4球摩耗試験における結果が悪い。また、このシェル4球摩耗試験は1800秒試験を行うべきところであるが、430秒にて発煙し、発火の恐れがあったので、試験を中止した。比較例4の添加剤A5のアルケニルコハク酸エステルと、上記添加剤C1+C2を使用したものでは、錆止め性試験において錆は発生していないが、シェル4球摩耗試験における結果が悪い。また、比較例5の市販の工作機械用潤滑油も、錆の発生は見られなかったが、シェル4球摩耗試験における結果が悪かった。
このように、比較例のものは、いずれもセラミックス球転がり軸受用潤滑油としての要求基準を満たしておらず、セラミックス球転がり軸受を使用する高速主軸用オイルエア潤滑油としての使用に適さないことが判った。
Claims (10)
- 鉱油及び/または合成油から選ばれる少なくとも1種の基油が、アミンと炭素数12〜30の飽和モノカルボン酸または炭素数18〜24の不飽和モノカルボン酸とを反応させて得た酸アミド、ザルコシン酸、またはアスパラギン酸誘導体の群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の添加剤を含有することを特徴とするセラミックス潤滑用の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記酸アミドのアミンがポリアルキルアミンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- リン含有カルボン酸、リン含有カルボン酸エステル、酸性リン酸エステル、酸性リン酸エステルのアミン塩、亜リン酸エステル、ホスフォロチオネート、チオリン酸エステル、チオリン酸金属塩、チオカルバミン酸エステル、またはチオカルバミン酸の金属塩のうち、少なくとも1種を更に含有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記リン含有カルボン酸またはリン含有カルボン酸エステルが、β−ジチオホスホリル化プロピオン酸またはβ−ジチオホスホリル化プロピオン酸エステルである請求項3に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記チオリン酸金属塩がジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛またはジアルキルジチオリン酸モリブデンであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記チオカルバミン酸の金属塩がジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛またはジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記潤滑油組成物に、更に芳香族アミン化合物、フェノール系化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記基油が、合成油であることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記合成油が、ポリαオレフィンであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 上記合成油が、GTLであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の潤滑油組成物。
