植物は、細胞壁が劣化するとより病気にかかりやすくなる。細胞壁は、長引く非生物的ストレス状態の間、すなわちカルシウムが細胞壁から細胞質に移動すると劣化する。上記の化合物及び組成物は、非生物的ストレス状態の間に強力な細胞壁を維持し、すなわちこれは感染の可能性を減少させる。

ジヒドロジャスモン酸カリウム塩の別法による調製
トルエン(3×100ml)を添加し、そして共沸の目的であらゆる残留している水を真空下で除去した。しかしカリウム塩は、黄色油として残留した。
この構造を、1H及び13C NMRを用いて確認した。

農学的配合物
次の成分の組み合わせが好適には一緒に配合されて、次の濃縮物を形成した:

配合物4で処理した植物に対するストレスの効果を、土壌潅注として評価した。栽培品種レタスLactuca sativa変種のArctic Kingが、試験について選択された種であった。レタス植物を、4つの異なる成長媒体、低pHの酸性砂質土(pH4.27)、高pHの白亜質埴土(pH9.35)、Lufa 2.2(pH5.8)及びロックウール栽培ブロック(不活性)中の個々のポットで成長させた。

- Mがカリウム又はマグネシウムである、請求項1に記載の化合物。
- Mがマグネシウムである、請求項2に記載の化合物。
- R1がn−ペンチル基又はペンタ−2−エニル基である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の化合物。
- R1がn−ペンチルである、請求項4に記載の化合物。
- 式(I)の化合物及び農学的に受容可能なキャリアを含有する、農学的に受容可能な組成物。
- 組成物が、植物のストレスを軽減する試薬をさらに含有する、請求項7に記載の組成物。
- 式(V)の化合物が、サリチル酸、アセチルサリチル酸(若しくは2−アセトキシ安息香酸)、サリチル酸メチル、安息香酸又はアシベンゾラル−S−メチルである、請求項9に記載の組成物。
- 抗酸化化合物をさらに含有する、請求項7〜10のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 抗酸化化合物が、アルギニン又はアルギニンが前駆体であるポリアミンである、請求項11に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に定義される式(I)の化合物、(ii)請求項9に定義される式(V)の化合物及び(iii)抗酸化剤を含有する、請求項12に記載の組成物。
- マグネシウムジヒドロジャスモネート、アセチルサリチル酸及びアルギニンを含有する、請求項13に記載の組成物。
- 成分の比率(i):(ii):(iii)が、1:1:1w/w〜1:2:20w/wである、請求項13または請求項14に記載の組成物。
- 式(V)の化合物が、サリチル酸、アセチルサリチル酸(若しくは2−アセトキシ安息香酸)、サリチル酸メチル、安息香酸又はアシベンゾラル−S−メチルである、請求項17に記載の組成物。
- 抗酸化化合物をさらに包含する、請求項16〜18のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
