それぞれの画地からのタマネギ作物の収穫量を測定した。
対照:5803袋(bags) *11kg/袋/ha = 63.83Mt/ha
処理:6885袋 *11kg/袋/ha = 75.73Mt/ha
対照と処理した画地との間の収穫量における差は、75.73−63.83=11.9/63.83*100%=18.6%増加であった。

色の研究
方法:
基準肥料生成物と比較した時に、作物の成熟に対して本発明に基づく製剤を施用した際の違い(もしあれば)を評価するために試験を設定した。

結果:
ピーマンの色における2つの処理の効果の間には顕著な差があった。処理2は、かなり高い色評点を示し、カフェイン200ppmを組み込むとピーマンにおける色の成熟がかなり高められることを示している。
5本の成熟したトマト植物に葉面散布としてそれぞれの処理を施した(3ml/L散布液、流出するまで散布した)。施用前、そして再び2日後に視覚による評点を用いて色について果実を評価した。
結果:
トマトの色における2つの処理の効果の間に顕著な差があった。処理2は、かなり高い色評点を示し、カフェイン(200ppm)を組み込むとトマトの色の成熟がかなり高められることを示している。

- 植物成長における植物生殖成長刺激物質としてのカフェインファミリーのメンバーの使用。
- 植物成長における植物の成熟を促進するためのカフェインファミリーのメンバーの使用。
- 植物成長における植物の開花、着色又は結実の促進におけるカフェインファミリーのメンバーの使用。
- 組成物がカフェインファミリーのメンバーを含み、カフェインファミリーメンバーが50〜500ppmの範囲の濃度で存在する、植物生殖成長刺激物質として使用するための農業用組成物。

- 植物養分が窒素、リン、カリウム、炭素及び水から選択される1つ又はそれ以上の多量要素;カルシウム、マグネシウム、ナトリウム、塩化物及び硫黄から選択される1つ又はそれ以上の二次要素;又は銅、コバルト、鉄、マンガン、ホウ素、モリブデン、亜鉛、ケイ素及びニッケルから選択される1つ又はそれ以上の微量要素である、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- カフェインファミリーメンバーが、プリンの非置換、一、二又は三置換された2,6ジオン誘導体である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の使用、又は請求項5〜9のいずれか1項に記載の農業用組成物。
- カフェインファミリーメンバーが、カフェイン(3,7−ジヒドロ−1,3,7−トリメチル−1H−プリン−2,6−ジオン)、キサンチン(3,7−ジヒドロ−1H−プリン−2,6−ジオン)、テオブロミン(3,7−ジヒドロ−3,7−ジメチル−1H−プリン−2,6−ジオン)又はテオフィリン(3,7−ジヒドロ−1,3−ジメチル−1H−プリン−2,6−ジオン)である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の使用、又は請求項5〜9のいずれか1項に記載の農業用組成物。
- 請求項4〜9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物、及び組成物が分散又は溶解することができる媒体を含む、植物又は植物の環境に施与するための製剤。
- 1つ又はそれ以上の植物養分を添加する前にカフェインファミリーメンバー及び溶媒を混合することを含む、カフェインファミリーのメンバー、1つ又はそれ以上の植物養分、及び溶媒を含む液状農業用製剤の製造方法。
- カフェインファミリーのメンバーを植物又はその環境に施用することを含む、植物における生殖成長を刺激する方法。
- カフェインファミリーのメンバーを植物又はその環境に施用することを含む、植物における成熟を促進する方法。
- カフェインファミリーのメンバーを植物又はその環境に施用することを含む、植物における開花を増進する又は開花の開始を促進する方法。
- カフェインファミリーのメンバーを植物又はその環境に施用することを含む、植物における着色を改善する又は着色の開始を促進する方法。
- カフェインファミリーのメンバーを植物又はその環境に施用することを含む、植物における結実を改善する又は結実の開始を促進する方法。
- 作物に施与する肥料としての請求項5〜9のいずれか1項に記載の組成物、又は請求項12に記載の製剤の使用。
