ステアリン酸:日本油脂(株)製のステアリン酸
硫黄:鶴見化学工業(株)製の粉末硫黄
加硫促進剤TBBS:大内新興化学工業(株)製のノクセラーNS(N−t−ブチル−2−ベンゾチアゾリルスルフェンアミド)
加硫促進剤CBS:大内新興化学工業(株)製のノクセラーCZ(N−シクロヘキシル−2−ベンゾチアゾリルスルフェンアミド)
加硫促進剤DPG:大内新興化学工業(株)製のノクセラーD(ジフェニルグアニジン)

(未加硫ゴム組成物の作製)
硫黄および加硫促進剤を除く前記各種薬品を、表1記載の配合量にしたがってバンバリーミキサーにて150℃で5分間混練し、得られた混練り物に、硫黄および各種加硫促進剤を加えて、オープンロールにて80℃で5分間混練し、未加硫ゴム組成物を得、以下の加硫試験に用いた。
JIS K 6300に記載されている振動式加硫試験機(キュラストメーター)を用い、測定温度160℃で加硫試験を行なって、時間とトルクとをプロットした加硫速度曲線を得た。加硫速度曲線のトルクの最小値をML、最大値をMH、その差(MH−ML)をMEとしたとき、ML+0.1MEに到達する時間T10(分)およびML+0.95MEに到達する時間T95(分)を読み取った。
前記「未加硫ゴム組成物の作製」において得られた未加硫ゴム組成物を、170℃下にて12分間加熱加硫することにより、加硫ゴム組成物を作製し、以下の測定試験に用いた。
室温の条件下にて、JIS−A硬度計を用いて加硫ゴム組成物の硬度(Hs)を測定した。ゴム硬度Hsは、64〜67が適している。
JIS K6251に準じ、加硫ゴム組成物からなる3号ダンベル型試験片を用いて引張り試験を実施し、試験片(熱老化前)の破断時伸びEBをそれぞれ測定した。次に、温度100℃の条件下で48時間、熱酸化劣化したのちの試験片(熱老化後)の破断時伸びEBをそれぞれ測定した。得られた破断時伸びの値を以下の式にあてはめることにより、熱老化後の破断時伸び保持率(%)を算出した。
