Abstract
【解決手段】 第2加工品12の接合面12aに、第1加工品11の接合面11aと互いに振動溶着される第1凸条13及び第2凸条14A,14Bを設け、この第1凸条13及び第2凸条14A,14Bと第1加工品11の接合面11aとを振動溶着機により振動溶着する時に若しくは振動溶着後に、冷却流体供給源26からの冷却流体を供給口15から第1凸条13で囲まれた領域内に供給するとともに排出口16から排出することにより領域内を冷却するように構成した。

Description
このような加工品同士を振動溶着する場合は、両加工品を振動溶着機にセットし、両加工品の接合面を互いに接触させ、この両加工品を加圧状態で接合面の面方向に相対振動させる。これにより、両加工品の接触部位は摩擦熱で溶融され両者は接着される。
この構成により、製品に熱変形を大幅に低減できるとともに加工品同士の溶着強度を向上できる。
図1は本発明の実施例1における溶着加工製品の一部の縦断側面図、図2は図1の2−2線に沿う加工品の平面図、図3は本実施例1に示す加工品を溶着する振動溶着機の概略構成図、図4は本実施例1における加工品の溶着工程を示す説明用断面図である。
第2加工品12の接合面12aには、図1及び図2に示すように、第1加工品11の接合面11aと振動溶着される第1凸条13(高さが0.5〜1.0mm程度)が接合面12aの周囲を囲むように矩形枠状に形成されている。
この第1凸条13で囲まれた領域内には、図2に示すように、第1凸条13の相対向する一方の長辺部13aから他方の長辺部13bに向けて延在する複数の第2凸条14A(高さが0.5〜1.0mm程度)と他方の長辺部13bら一方の長辺部13aに向けて延在する複数の第2凸条14B(高さが0.5〜1.0mm程度)が長辺方向に一定の間隔をおいて交互に設けられている。また、第1凸条13で囲まれた領域の中心箇所には該領域内部を冷却する圧縮されたエアーなどからなる冷却流体の供給口15が形成され、さらに上記領域内の対角線上の隅部に位置する第1凸条13の箇所には冷却流体の排出口16がそれぞれ形成されている。また、第1凸条13と第2凸条14A,14Bは上記領域内を蛇行する冷却流体の流動通路17を形成し、この通路17は供給口15及び排出口16に連通されている。また、第2凸条14A,14Bは第1加工品11の接合面11aと振動溶着されるものである。
振動溶着機20は、図3に示すように、加圧手段21、加圧テーブル22、加圧用治具23、溶着用治具24、振動発生手段25、冷却流体供給源26等を備えている。
加圧手段21は加圧テーブル22を上下方向に移動可能に支持するとともに振動溶着機20の溶着動作時に加圧テーブル22に対して溶着に必要な所定の圧力を付与する。
加圧テーブル22の上面には加圧用治具23が交換可能に取り付けられている。加圧用治具23は、互いに溶着される加工品同士のうちの一方を保持するものであり、この加圧用治具23の上面には第1加工品11がセットされる構成になっている。
まず、第1加工品11を加圧用治具23にセットし、第2加工品12を溶着用治具24にセットする。次いで加圧手段21を動作して、加圧テーブル22を上昇させ、加圧用治具23を溶着用治具24に近接させることにより、それぞれにセットされた第1加工品11の接合面11aと第2加工品12の第1凸条13及び第2凸条14A,14Bとを図4(A)に示すように互いに接触させ、加圧手段21により加圧状態に保持する。かかる状態で、冷却流体供給源26からの冷却流体、例えば圧縮されたエアーなどの冷却されたエアーを流体供給ホース261及び通路241を通して第2加工品12の供給口15から第1凸条13で囲まれた領域内に流入させる。この領域内に流入した冷却エアーは通路17内を図2の矢印Aに示すように流動しながら排出口16から領域外へ排出される。これにより、領域内を冷却する。これと同時に、振動発生手段25の振動発生部251を起動して、振動体252を図3の水平方向に振動させ、第1加工品11の接合面11aと第2加工品12の第1凸条13及び第2凸条14A,14B6との圧接面を互いに摩擦させる。すると、その摩擦熱により両者の圧接面が溶融され、両者は図4(B)に示すように接着される。この時、第1凸条13で囲まれた領域内は冷却エアにより冷却されるので、実際に溶着される接合部以外の部位が溶融温度になるのを抑制できる。
図5は本実施例2に示す溶着加工製品の一部の縦断側面図である。この図5において、図1と同一の構成要素には同一符号を付してその構成説明を省略し、図1と異なる部分を重点に述べる。
また、エアーバッグ装置のリッド(蓋体)を第1加工品11及び第2加工品12で構成するようにしてもよい。
また、本発明における第1及び第2加工品の冷却タイミングは、振動溶着している時に限らず、振動溶着後であっても良い。

Claims (7)
- 互いに振動溶着される接合面と、前記接合面の一方に該接合面の周囲を囲むように形成された第1凸条と、前記第1凸条で囲まれた領域内に形成された複数の第2凸条と、前記領域内を冷却する冷却流体の供給口及び排出口とを有する第1及び第2加工品を備え、
前記第1及び第2加工品の他方の接合面に前記第1及び第2凸条を互いに重ね合わせて振動溶着機にセットするとともにこれらを加圧状態に保持し、前記振動溶着機で前記第1及び第2加工品を振動させることにより前記第1及び第2凸条とこれに接する他方の接合面とを溶着し、前記振動溶着中若しくは振動溶着後に冷却流体供給源からの冷却流体を前記供給口から前記領域内に供給して、前記排出口から排出することにより該領域内を冷却するようにしたことを特徴とする加工品の溶着加工方法。 - 前記他方の接合面及び該他方の接合面に接触する前記第1、第2凸条の面の少なくとも一方に摩擦抵抗を増大するための微細凹凸が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の加工品の溶着加工方法。
- 前記第1及び第2加工品のうち、少なくとも一方に配置される加工品が半透明な熱可塑性材で成形されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の加工品の溶着加工方法。
- 熱可塑性材の第1加工品及び第2加工品を備え、
前記第1及び第2加工品は互いに振動溶着される接合面をそれぞれ有し、前記第1及び第2加工品の一方の接合面に前記第1及び第2加工品の他方の接合面と振動溶着される第1凸条が前記一方の接合面の周囲を囲むように形成され、前記第1凸条で囲まれた領域内には前記他方の接合面と振動溶着される複数の第2凸条が形成され、前記領域の内部を冷却する冷却流体の供給口及び排出口が前記第1及び第2加工品の少なくとも一方に接合面に設けられていることを特徴とする溶着加工製品。 - 前記他方の接合面及び該他方の接合面に接触する前記第1、第2凸条の面の少なくとも一方に摩擦抵抗を増大するための微細凹凸が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項4記載の溶着加工製品。
- 前記第1及び第2加工品のうち、少なくとも一方に配置される加工品が半透明な熱可塑性材で成形されていることを特徴とする請求項4記載の溶着加工製品。
- 前記第1及び第2加工品がエアーバッグ装置のリッド(蓋体)であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の溶着加工製品。
