Abstract
【解決手段】 下記一般式(1)で表されるナフトール樹脂及び下記一般式(3)で表されるエポキシ樹脂。このナフトール樹脂は、ナフトール類とアルコキシナフタレンの混合物とキシリレングリコール等の架橋剤を反応させて得られ、エポキシ樹脂はこのナフトール樹脂をエポキシ化して得られる。

(但し、Y及びZは水素原子(H)若しくはグリシジル基(G)又は炭素数1〜8の炭化水素基(R)であり、R/H又はR/Gのモル比が0.05〜2.0である。また、nは平均値として1から6の数を示す。)

Description
また、本発明は、ナフトール類とアルコキシナフタレンの混合物と下記一般式(2)、
下記一般式(3)、
ここで、炭化水素基としては、メチル基、エチル基、n−プロピル基、イソプロピル基、アリル基、プロパルギル基、ブチル基、n−アミル基、sec−アミル基、tert−アミル基、シクロヘキシル基、フェニル基、ベンジル基等が挙げられるが、好ましくはメチル基である。
撹拌機、冷却管、窒素導入管のついた2L、3口セパラブルフラスコに、1−ナフトール600g、1−メトキシナフタレン262g、p−キシリレングリコールジメチルエーテル290g、及びp−トルエンスルホン酸5.8gを仕込み、窒素を導入しながら90℃に加熱し溶解させた。その後、撹拌しながら150℃に昇温し5時間反応させた。この間、反応により生成するメタノールは系外に除いた。その後、水洗によりp−トルエンスルホン酸を除去した後、減圧下、200℃に昇温し、未反応の1−ナフトール及び1−メトキシナフタレンを除去し、ナフトール樹脂603gを得た(ナフトール樹脂A)。得られたナフトール樹脂Aの軟化点は84℃、150℃における溶融粘度は0.12Pa・sであった。また、水酸基当量は275であった。GPCチャートを図1、赤外吸収スペクトルを図2、1H−NMRスペクトルを図3に示す。1H−NMRスペクトルより求めたナフタレン環の水酸基とメトキシ基の合計量に対するメトキシ基の割合は15%であった。
撹拌機、冷却管、窒素導入管のついた1L、3口セパラブルフラスコに、1−ナフトールアラルキル樹脂(SN−485;新日鐵化学製、水酸基当量214、軟化点88℃、溶融粘度1.9Pa・s(150℃))500g、メタノール50g、p−トルエンスルホン酸5gを仕込み、窒素を導入しながら加熱し、撹拌しながら100℃で昇温し5時間反応させた。その後、水洗によりp−トルエンスルホン酸を除去した後、減圧下、200℃に昇温し、未反応のメタノールを除去し、ナフトール樹脂507gを得た(ナフトール樹脂B)。得られたナフトール樹脂Bの軟化点は82℃、150℃における溶融粘度は0.10Pa・s、水酸基当量は335であった。また、1H−NMRスペクトルより求めたナフタレン環の水酸基とメトキシ基の合計量に対するメトキシ基の割合は28%であった。
実施例1で得たナフトール樹脂A100gをエピクロルヒドリン235g及びジグライム35gに溶解し、減圧下(約100mmHg)、60℃にて48%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液29gを4時間かけて滴下した。この間、生成する水はエピクロルヒドリンとの共沸により系外に除き、留出したエピクロルヒドリンは系内に戻した。滴下終了後、更に1時間反応を継続した。その後、エピクロルヒドリン及びジグライムを減圧留去し、メチルイソブチルケトン281gに溶解した後、濾過により生成した塩を除いた。その後、48%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液9.9gを加え、80℃で2時間反応させた。反応後、濾過、水洗を行った後、溶媒であるメチルイソブチルケトンを減圧留去し、褐色のエポキシ樹脂104gを得た(エポキシ樹脂A)。得られたエポキシ樹脂Aのエポキシ当量は334g/eq.であり、軟化点は77℃、加水分解性塩素は250ppm、150℃での溶融粘度は0.17Pa・sであった。GPCチャートを図4、赤外吸収スペクトルを図5に示す。なお、ここで加水分解性塩素は、樹脂試料0.5gを1,4−ジオキサン30mlに溶解させたものを1N−KOH/メタノール溶液5mlで30分間煮沸還流したものを、硝酸銀溶液で電位差滴定を行うことにより求めた。
実施例2で得たナフトール樹脂B100gをエピクロルヒドリン239g及びジグライム36gに溶解し、減圧下(約100mmHg)、60℃にて48%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液30gを4時間かけて滴下した。この間、生成する水はエピクロルヒドリンとの共沸により系外に除き、留出したエピクロルヒドリンは系内に戻した。滴下終了後、更に1時間反応を継続した。その後、エピクロルヒドリン及びジグライムを減圧留去し、メチルイソブチルケトン282gに溶解した後、濾過により生成した塩を除いた。その後、48%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液5.1gを加え、80℃で2時間反応させた。反応後、濾過、水洗を行った後、溶媒であるメチルイソブチルケトンを減圧留去し、褐色のエポキシ樹脂103gを得た(エポキシ樹脂B)。得られたエポキシ樹脂Bのエポキシ当量は402g/eq.であり、軟化点は75℃、加水分解性塩素は310ppm、150℃での溶融粘度は0.15Pa・s、であった。
エポキシ樹脂成分として、実施例3、4で合成したエポキシ樹脂A及びB、o-クレゾールノボラック型エポキシ樹脂(エポキシ樹脂C:日本化薬製、EOCN-1020-65;エポキシ当量 200、加水分解性塩素 400ppm、軟化点 65℃)を用い、硬化剤成分として、実施例1で合成したナフトール樹脂A、フェノールノボラック(フェノール樹脂A:群栄化学製、PSM-4261;OH当量103、軟化点 80℃)、1−ナフトールアラルキル型樹脂(ナフトール樹脂C:新日鐵化学製、SN-475;OH当量210、軟化点 77℃)を用いた。更に、充填剤として球状シリカ(平均粒径 18μm)、硬化促進剤としてトリフェニルホスフィンを用い、表1に示す配合でエポキシ樹脂組成物を得た。表中の数値は配合における重量部を示す。
なお、ガラス転移点及び線膨張係数の測定は、熱機械測定装置を用いて10℃/分の昇温速度で求めた。吸水率は、直径50mm、厚さ3mmの円形の試験片を用いて、85℃、85%RHの条件で100時間吸湿させた後の重量変化率とした。燃焼時間は、厚さ1/16インチの試験片を用い、UL94V-0規格に従い、5本の試験での合計燃焼時間で表した。接着強度は、銅板2枚の間に25mm×12.5mm×0.5mmの成形物を圧縮成形機により175℃で成形し、180℃にて12時間ポストキュアを行った後、引張剪断強度を求めることにより評価した。
Claims (8)
- 水酸基当量が230から400であり、軟化点が50℃から150℃の範囲である請求項1に記載のナフトール樹脂。
- 請求項1に記載のナフトール樹脂を、エピクロルヒドリンと反応させることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のエポキシ樹脂の製造方法。
- エポキシ当量が290から500であり、軟化点が50℃から150℃の範囲である請求項4に記載のエポキシ樹脂。
- エポキシ樹脂及び硬化剤よりなるエポキシ樹脂組成物において、請求項1に記載のナフトール樹脂又は請求項4に記載のエポキシ樹脂の少なくともいずれか一方を必須成分として配合してなるエポキシ樹脂組成物。
- 請求項7に記載のエポキシ樹脂組成物を硬化してなる硬化物。
