Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.エレクトロルミネセントデバイスであって:1層の光ルミネセント材料が形 成される透明基板を包含し、該ルミネセント材料が希土類金属、アクチニド、ま たは25%より大きい光ルミネセント収率(PL)を有する遷移金属有機錯体である、 デバイス。 2.エレクトロルミネセントデバイスであって:1層の光ルミネセント材料が形 成される透明基板を包含し、該ルミネセント材料が希土類金属、アクチニド、ま たは40%より大きい光ルミネセント収率(PL)を有する遷移金属有機錯体である、 デバイス。 3.前記エレクトロルミネセント材料が式X(Y1)(Y2)(Y3)の金属錯体であり、 Xが希土類、遷移金属、状熊IIIのランタニドまたはアクチニドであり、そして Y1、Y2、Y3が同じかまたは異なる有機リガンドである、請求項1または2に 記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 4.前記エレクトロルミネセント材料が式X(Y1)(Y2)の金属錯体であり、Xが 希土類、遷移金属、状態IIのランタニドまたはアクチニドであり、そしてY1、 Y2、Y3が同じかまたは異なる有機リガンドである、請求項3に記載のエレクト ロルミネセントデバイス。 5.前記エレクトロルミネセント材料が式X(Y1)(Y2)(Y3)(Y4)の金属錯体で あり、Xが希土類、遷移金属、状態IIIのランタニドまたはアクチニドであり、 そしてY1、Y2、Y3、Y4が同じかまたは異なる有機リガンドである、請求項3 に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 6.前記金属がSm(III)、Eu(III)、Tb(III)、Dy(III)、Yb(III)、Lu(III)、Gd(II I)、Eu(II)、Gd(III)、U(III)、UO2(VI)およびTh(III)から選択される、請求項 1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 7.前記リガンドの三重項状態が前記金属イオンの共鳴振動数より0.6 eVを越え ない、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 8.前記リガンドの三重項状態が前記金属イオンの共鳴振動数より0.4 eVを越え ない、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 9.前記リガンドが以下の式を有し、 ここで R'が分子の異なる部分において同じであるかまたは異なっており、かつ各々の R''およびR'が置換もしくは未置換の芳香族複素環構造またはヒドロカルビル またはフルオロカーボンであるか、あるいはR''がフッ素もしくは水素であるか 、あるいはR''がモノマー(monomer e.g.)と共重合されるか、あるいはR'がt- ブチルであり、かつR''が水素である、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のエ レクトロルミネセントデバイス。 10.前記エレクトロルミネセント材料が(a)テルビウム(III)(ジピバトイルメチ ド)3、(b)ジ-およびトリ-ピラゾリルボレートならびに(a)のジ-およびトリ-ピラ ゾリル-N-オキシドボレート付加体、(C)ユーロピウム(III)(2-ナフチルトリフル オロアセチルアセトネート)、または(d)ウラニル(2-ナフチルトリフルオロアセ チルアセトネートもしくは(C)および(d)のジピリジルおよびジピリジルN-オギシ ド付加体である、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセント デバイス。 11.前記透明基板上に堆積された正孔伝達層が存在し、前記エレクトロルミネ セント材料が該正孔伝達層上に堆積される、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記 載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 12.前記エレクトロルミネセント材料と混合された正孔伝達材料が存在し95〜 5%の該正孔伝達化合物に対して該エレクトロルミネセント材料の比率が5〜95 %である、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバ イス。 13.前記正孔伝達層が芳香族アミン錯体である、請求項11または12に記載 のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 14.前記正孔伝達層がポリ(ビニルカルバゾール)、N,N'-ジフェニル-N,N'-ビス (3-メチルフェニル)-1,1'-ビフェニル-4,4'-ジアミン(TPD)またはポリアニリン である、請求項13に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 15.前記エレクトロルミネセント材料と接触する金属アノードが存在する、請 求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 16.カソードと前記エレクトロルミネセント材料層との間に1層の電子注入材 料が存在する、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセント デバイス。 17.前記電子注入材料が前記エレクトロルミネセント材料と混合され、そして 該エレクトロルミネセント材料と共堆積(co-deposit)される、請求項1〜16の いずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 18.前記電子注入材料が金属錯体またはオキサジアゾールまたはオキサジアゾ ール誘導体である、請求項16または17に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバ イス。 19.前記電子注入材料がアルミニウムキノレートまたは2-(4−ビフェニル)-5-( 4-tert-ブチルフェニル)-1,3,4オキサジアゾールである、請求項18に記載 のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 20.前記透明基板が前記カソードとして作用する導電性ガラスまたはプラステ イック材料である、前述の請求項のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセン トデバイス。 21.前記基板がインジウムスズ酸化物被覆ガラスである、請求項20に記載の エレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 22.前記アノードが金属である、前述の請求項のいずれか1項に記載のエレク トロルミネセントデバイス。 23.前記アノードがアルミニウム、マグネシウム、リチウム、カルシウムまた はマグネシウム銀合金である、請求項22に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバ イス。 24.複数の層のエレクトロルミネセント材料が存在する、前述の請求項のいず れか1項に記載のエレクトロルミネセントデバイス。 25.エレクトロルミネセントの前記層が2つ以上の異なるエレクトロルミネセ ント化合物から形成される、前述の請求項のいずれか1項に記載のエレクトロル ミネセントデバイス。 26.Xが希土類、遷移金属、状態IIIのランタニドまたはアクチニドであり、そ してY1、Y2、Y3が同じかまたは異なる有機リガンドであり、その少なくとも 1つが であり、ここで、 R'が分子の異なる部分において同一であるかまたは異なっており、かつ各々の R''およびR'が置換もしくは未置換の芳香族複素環構造またはヒドロカルビル またはフルオロカーボンであるか、あるいはR''がフッ素もしくは水素であるか 、あるいはR''がモノマー(monomer e.g.)と共重合されるか、あるいはR'がt- ブチルであり、かつR''が水素であり、そしてここでXが希土類、遷移金属、ラ ンタニドまたはアクチニドである、式X(Y1)(Y2)(Y3)のエレクトロルミネセ ント金属錯体。 27.Xが希土類、遷移金属、状態IIのランタニドまたはアクチニドである、式 X(Y1)(Y2)の請求項26に記載のエレクトロルミネセント金属錯体。 28.Xが希土類、遷移金属、状態IIIのランタニドまたはアクチニドである、式 X(Y1)(Y2)(Y3)(Y4)の請求項26に記載のエレクトロルミネセント金属錯体 。 29.前記金属がSm(III)、Eu(III)、Tb(III)、Dy(III)、Yb(III)、Lu(III)、Gd( III)、Eu(11)、Gd(III)、U(III)、UO2(VI)およびTh(III)から選択される、請求 項26〜28のいずれか1項に記載の錯体。 30.式X(Y1)(Y2)(Y3)のエレクトロルミネセント金属錯体であって:Xが 希土類、遷移金属、状態IIIのランタニドまたはアクチニドであり、そしてY1、 Y2、Y3が同一のまたは異なる有機リガンドであり、その少なくとも1つが であり、 ここでRが分子の異なる部分において同一であるかまたは異なっており、各々の Rが水素、ヒドロカルビル、アルコキシ、フッ素、ニトリル、フルオロカーボン 、フェニル、置換されたフェニル、またはフェノキシ部位である、錯体。 31.前記金属がSm(III)、Eu(III)、Tb(III)、Dy(III)、Yb(III)、Lu(III)、Gd( III)、Gd(III)U(III)、およびTh(III)から選択される、請求項30に記載の錯体 。
