- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(a)光を透過させ、レーザ光がその上に入射するディスク外面(49)を 形成する第1の面を有する第1の部材(50)と、(b)該部材によって該部材 外面から離隔された相変化ライトワンス材料の第1の記録層(51)と、(c) 第1の記録層の屈折率は大幅に異なる屈折率と光の構造的干渉を生じさせるのに 十分な厚さとを有し、第1の記録層と第1の記録層と接触する光干渉膜とが光を 透過させる、第1の記録層と接触し光を透過させる光干渉膜(53)と、(d) 第1の記録層から離隔した相変化ライトワンス材料の第2の記録層(66)とを 含む、光データ記録媒体(12)。 2.光媒体が光ディスクであり、レーザ光が入射する第1の部材(50)が基板 であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の光媒体。 3.光を透過させ、第1の記録層(51)と第2の記録層(66)との間に配置 され、スペーサ層の厚さによって第1の記録層(51)と第2の記録層(66) とを分離するスペーサ層(122)をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の光ディスク (112)。 4.第2の記録層(66)がスペーサ層(122)上に形成されていることを特 徴とする、請求項3に記載の光ディスク(112)。 5.第2の基板(56)をさらに含み、第2の記録層(66) が第2の基板上に形成され、第1の基板(50)と第2の基板がエアギャップ( 78)によって離隔されていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディスク (12)。 6.ディスク・ブランク(556)と、ディスク・ブランクの外周部の周りに延 在するリング(536)とをさらに含み、基板がリングによって支持されたプラ スチック製防塵カバー(538)であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光 ディスク(512)。 7.光を透過させ、第1の記録層(590)と第2の記録層(592)との間に 配置され、第1の記録層(590)と第2の記録層(592)とを分離するスペ ーサ層(522)をさらに含み、第2の記録層がディスク・ブランク(556) 上に形成され、第1の記録層がスペーサ層上に形成され、第1の記録層とプラス チック製防塵カバー(538)とがエアギャップ(540)によって分離されて いることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の光ディスク。 8.第1の記録層(51)が第1の基板(50)のディスク外面(49)とは反 対側の面上に形成され、光干渉膜(53)が第1の記録層(51)上に形成され ていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディスク(12)。 9.光干渉膜(53)が基板(50)上に形成され、第1の記録層(51)が光 干渉膜上に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディスク(1 2)。 10.光干渉膜(53)が、第1の記録層(51)が書込み パワー・レベルで焦点スポットからの熱を保ち、それによって相を変化させるこ とができるようにするのに十分な低さの熱伝導率を有することを特徴とする、請 求項2に記載の光ディスク(12)。 11.第1の記録層と光干渉膜とに接触し、第1の記録層と光干渉膜との間に配 置され、第1の記録層が書込みパワー・レベルで焦点スポットからの熱を保ち、 それによって相を変化させることができるようにする、低熱伝導率膜をさらに含 む、請求項2に記載の光ディスク。 12.光干渉膜(74)が基板(50”)上に直接形成され、第1の記録層(5 1”)が光干渉膜上に形成されて光干渉膜と接触し、第1の記録層上に形成され て第1の記録層と接触する第2の光干渉膜(72)をさらに含み、2つの光干渉 膜と中間記録層とが3層膜スタックを形成することを特徴とする、請求項2に記 載の光ディスク(12”)。 13.第1の記録層(51)および第2の記録層(66)における相変化材料が 、A、Sn、およびSbを含む合金であり、AがIn、Cr、Bi、およびSi から成るグループから選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディス ク(12)。 14.光ディスクの第1の記録層(51)および第2の記録層(66)における 相変化材料が、TeOx、GeOx、Sbox、およびInOx、から成るグループ から選択された1つまたは複数の酸化物と、Pd、Ni、およびCuから成るグ ル ープから選択された1つまたは複数の金属との混合物であることを特徴とする、 請求項2に記載の光ディスク(12)。 15.光ディスクの第1の記録層(51)および第2の記録層(66)における 相変化材料が、本質的に、GeTe、SnTe、PbTe、SbSe、Sb2S e3、0<x<0.4のSb(1-x)Se、Bi2Se、Sbi2Se3、Bi2Te、 BiTe、Bi2Te3、Sb2Te、SbTe、Sb2Te3、TeSi、Ag2S e、AgSe2、Ag2Te、Ag3Te2、AgTe2、Au2Se3、AuTe2、 GaSb、およびGeSeから成るグループから選択された材料から成ることを ことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディスク。 16.光ディスクの第1の記録層(51)および第2の記録層(66)における 相変化材料が、本質的に、GeSb2Te4、Ge2Sb2Te5、GeSb4Te7 、In3SbTe2、(InSb)1-x(GaSb)x(ただし0.5<x<=1) から成るグループから選択された材料であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載 の光ディスク(12)。 17.光ディスクの光干渉膜(53)がSiの酸化物、窒化物、または炭化物を 含むを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディ数(12)。 18.光ディスクの光干渉膜(53)が、Al、Ti、Zr、Cu、Hf、Ta 、Nb、Cr、およびWから成るグループから選択された元素の酸化物または窒 化物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディスク。 19.光ディスクの光干渉膜(53)が、S、Se、およびTeから成るグルー プから選択された元素のうちの1つまたは複数の元素と混合されたZnまたはC rを含むことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光ディスク。 20.第1の記録層と第2の記録層との間に配置された相変化ライトワンス材料 の第3の記録層と、第3の記録層に接触し、光を透過させ、第3の記録層の屈折 率とは大幅に異なる屈折率と、光の構造的干渉を生じさせる第2の光干渉膜とを さらに含み、第3の記録層とそれに接触する第2の光干渉膜とが約25パーセン トを超える光透過を実現する、請求項2に記載の光ディスク(12)。 21.所定の波長および異なる読取りパワー・レベルと書込みパワー・レベルで レーザ光を発生するレーザ光源(200)と、 請求項1ないし20のいずれか一項に記載の光データ記録媒体(12)と、 レーザ光源と前記部材の前記第1の面との間に配置され、レーザ光をスポット に収束させるレンズ(210)と、 該レンズに接続され、レンズを媒体を基準にして移動させて、収束スポットを 1つの記録層から他の記録層に移動させることができるようにし、それによって 、スポットが第1の記録面上で収束しているときに読取りパワー・レベルにおけ る光が第1の記録層(51)および光干渉膜(53)から反射されるようにし、 スポットが第2の記録層(66)上で収 束しているときに書込みパワー・レベルにおける光が第1の記録層とそれに接触 する光干渉膜とを通過して第2の記録層における材料の層を変化させるようにす る手段(216)とを含む、光データ記憶システム(10)。
