Claims (10)

  1. Verfahren zum Herstellen eines einen feinteiligen Füllstoff enthaltenden mikroporösen thermoplastischen polymeren Formkörpers mit folgenden Schritten:
    a) ein thermoplastisches Polymer wird mit einer solubilisierenden Menge einer kompatiblen Flüssigkeit und einem feinteiligen Füllstoff mit Korngrößen im Submikrometer- oder oder Mikrometerbereich bei einer Temperatur gemischt, die zur Bildung einer homogenen Lösung genügt;
    b) aus der Lösung wird ein Körper hergestellt;
    c) der Formkörper wird mit einer solchen Geschwindigkeit und auf eine solche Temepratur abgekühlt, daß im thermodynamischen Ungleichgewicht eine Phasentrennung eingeleitet wird;
    d) durch weiteres Abkühlen des Körpers wird das thermoplastische Polymer verfestigt; und
    e) mindestens ein beträchtlicher Teil der kompatiblen Flüssigkeit wird entfernt, während der feinteilige Füllstoff im wesentlichen vollständig in dem thermoplastischen Polymer verbleibt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß vor dem Schmelzmischen a) der feinteilige Füllstoff in der kompatiblen Flüssigkeit in Form eines Suspensionskolloids des feinteiligen Füllstoffes in der Flüssigkeit dispergiert wird und daß der feinteilige Füllstoff im wesentlichen nicht agglomeriert ist.
  2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem der genannte Körper orientiert wird.
  3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem der Körper zu bis zu 95 Gew.-% aus dem feinteiligen Füllstoff besteht.
  4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem der Körper eine Feinfolie ist.
  5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem der Körper eine Faser ist.
  6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem der feinteilige Füllstoff ein Metall, ein Metalloxid oder eine kohlenstoffhaltige Substanz ist.
  7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem die Struktur eine durchgehende einheitliche Porosität hat.
  8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem die Struktur eine durchgehende Porosität mit einem Porositätsgradienten hat.
  9. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in dem der feinteilige Füllstoff in der ganzen Struktur im wesentlichen einheitlich verteilt ist.
  10. Einen feinteiligen Füllstoff enthaltender mikroporöser thermoplastischer polymerer Körper, der nach dem Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 hergestellt worden ist und eine thermoplastische polymere Struktur besitzt, die eine Mehrzahl von miteinander verbundenen Kanälen aufweist, die ein Netzwerk von miteinander verbundenen Poren bilden, wobei die mikroporöse Struktur einen feinteiligen Füllstoff aus diskreten Teilchen mit Korngrößen im Submikrometer- oder unteren Mikrometerbereich enthält, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der feinteilige Füllstoff im wesentlichen nicht agglomeriert ist.
