Feedwater, controlling. -In a. feed-supply regulator of the kind described in Specification 292,000, the nozzle 15 placing the float chamber 2 in communication with the chamber 4 connected with the boiler at the water level therein is made adjustable in order to change the working water level while the boiler is steaming. The position of a sleeve, 16 sliding in the nozzle, is adjusted by means of a. hand-wheel 24 on a screwed spindle secured to the sleeve. When the boiler water level rises to the bottom of the sleeve, water flows through ports 21 and fills the float chamber, thus raising the float 3 and opening the pilot valve 11 of the piston apparatus operating the feed valve.
