Abstract
215,257. Larsen, J. A. Sept. 14, 1923. Crank actuated pumps; pumps with reciprocating and oscillating piston.- In a pump of the kind in which a piston is reciprocated and oscillated, and has two pairs of channels 12, 13 and 14. 15 communicating respectively with opposite ends of the cylinder 2, the inlet and outlet ports 10, 11 in the cylinder are 90‹ apart, so that the channels communicating in pairs may be diametrically opposite to each other to prevent unbalanced forces from acting on the piston. The piston is recipocated and oscillated by a rotating disc 8 carrying a ball 7 which engages a pin 6 on the piston rod.
