Abstract

L'invention concerne les poudres de carbures de silicium. Elle se rapporte à une poudre de carbure de silicium contenant essentiellement du carbure de silicium de phase cristalline alpha, seul ou avec du carbure de phase bêta, la poudre contenant au maximum 2 % de silice, 0,25 % de silicium libre, 0,5 % de fer, 0,5 % de métaux alcalins et alcalino-terreux et 3,75 % d'oxydes métalliques au total, la dimension particulaire étant comprise entre 0,10 et 2,50 microns. Application à la réalisation de produits frittés de carbure de silicium.
