Abstract
L'invention concerne le frittage des poudres de carbure de silicium. Elle se rapporte à un procédé de préparation d'une matière céramique à base de carbure de silicium et possédant un poids spécifique et une résistance mécanique élevés. Selon ce procédé, une poudre de carbure de silicium contenant un agent de densification sous forme de bore ou d'un composé contenant du bore est frittée dans une atmosphère contenant du bore, à une pression partielle d'au moins 10**-2 Pa avantageusement. Application à la fabrication d'éléments de carbure de silicium très denses.
