SE PREPARA UNA DISPERSION ACUOSA DE PARTICULAS NUCLEO-CAPA ISOLUBLES EN AGUA, POR POLIMERIZACION POR EMULSION PARA UTILIZAR COMO AGENTE DE OPACIDAD EN REVESTIMIENTOS. LAS PARTICULAS TIENEN NUCLEOS INTERIORES QUE SE HINCHAN CON DISOLVENTE NO ACUOSO. LA CAPAS EXTERIORES POLIMERAS TIENEN UNA TEMPERATURA DE TRANSICION VITREA MAYOR QUE 50 (GRADOS) C APROXIMADAMENTE EN PRESENCIA DEL DISOLVENTE NO ACUOSO. EL COEFICIENTE DE REPARTO DEL DISOLVENTE NO ACUOSO ENTRE LA FASE POLIMERA DE NUCLEO INTERIOR Y LA FASE POLIMERA DEL POLIMERO DE LA CAPA EXTERIOR ES POR LE MENOS 1,25 APROXIMADAMENTE. LA COMPOSICIONES DE REVESTIMIENTO FORMULADAS UTILIZANDO LAS PARTICULAS NUCLEO-CAPA MUESTRAN OPACIDAD AUMENTADA,,POR FORMARSE MICROHUECOS DISPERSORES DE LA LUZ SENCILLA EN PARTICULAS INDIVIDUALES CUANDO SE EVAPORA EL DISOLVENTE Y SE CONTRAE DENTRO DE LA CAPA EXTERIOR RIGIDA.
