- Such racquets typically include a frame having a club head and forms a handle portion connected thereto. Typically, in the Transition region between the club head and the handle portion a so-called Heart area trained.
- the frame is made of a frame profile often formed from a carbon fiber reinforced plastic material in one Forming press is produced.
- the club head of the racket defines a Seating plane in which the fabric of the racket is placed. to Recording of the sides of the stringing are done on the frame in the stringing plane lying through holes provided for the passage of clothing pages.
- EP 0 676 222 B1 discloses a racket with a handle and a frame comprising a head portion, power amplifying portions and flexible Has sections along the entire frame or along one of the handle spaced part of the frame are formed alternately.
- everyone Power amplification section is by a protruding frame section formed, measured in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the frame has relatively large side thickness.
- Each of the flexible sections is by one recessed frame portion formed, measured in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the frame has a relatively small side thickness.
- the number of projecting force amplification sections is 10 to 20 and the number of recessed flexible sections is also 10 to 20.
- the present invention is based on the object, an improved racket to provide excellent ball guidance and acceleration and at the same time can be constructed in lightweight construction.
- This task is with a racket with the features of independent claim 1 solved.
- the dependent claims are preferred embodiments of beater according to the invention described.
- the independent method claim 13 relates to a manufacturing method for such a racket.
- the dependent on it Claims relate to advantageous embodiments of the invention Process.
- the racquet for ball games has one of a frame or Hollow profile formed frame containing a club head and a preferably Having a handle portion connected via a heart region.
- the clubhead defines a clothing plane.
- the frame profile has four trough-shaped Indentations on, in pairs opposite and symmetrical to Longitudinal axis of the racket are arranged.
- the trough-shaped indentations are preferably on the frame profile arranged in a direction perpendicular to the clothing plane of the racket results in a cross-sectional constriction or constriction.
- the head shape of the racket is largely arbitrary and can, for example, oval, ovate, drop-shaped, rectangular with rounded corners.
- To define the respective position of the trough-shaped recesses along the circumference of the Club head is usually a dial of a clock used, the 12 Clock position is located at the extreme or free end of the club head (see. FIG. 1).
- the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position is therefore approximately in the range of Middle of the total length of the club head.
- the four trough-shaped indentations are so on the club head arranged that a first pair between 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock, in particular at about 3 o'clock Clock, and a second pair between 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock, in particular at about 9 o'clock is provided.
- the trough-shaped indentations are accordingly approximately as far away from the handle end of the racket as the center of the Striking surface or the area of the striking surface with maximum Impact speed. Under certain circumstances, this preferred position for the trough-shaped indentations also about 1 cm to 4 cm, preferably also 2 cm to 3 cm, from the center towards the free end of the club head.
- the racket according to the invention thus has per racket side (front or back) two trough-shaped indentations, one of which on this side and the other is arranged beyond the longitudinal axis of the racket.
- it is ever Racket side and racket half each a single trough-shaped indentation - So a total of exactly four indentations - the racket invention intended.
- the indentations are in the range at about 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock Clock arranged.
- a pair of trough-shaped Indentations in the range between 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock, in particular at about 3 o'clock, and another pair of trough-shaped indentations between 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock, especially at about 9 o'clock, i. the trough-shaped indentations are in pairs opposite and symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the racket arranged.
- the by the frame profile opposite arranged trough-shaped Indentations caused cross-sectional constriction is preferably such that the frame height (in the direction perpendicular to the clothing plane) in about 60 to 95%, more preferably 70 to 90%, and even more preferably about 80% of the height of the Frame profile outside the indentations amounts.
- the length of the indentation along the frame is preferably in the range between 10 mm and 30 mm, more preferably between 12 mm and 25 mm, most preferably between 15 mm and 23 mm.
- the trough-shaped indentations are preferably in Stringing considered a substantially circular arc-shaped cross-section for example, having a radius of about 15 mm to 25 mm, more preferably of about 20 mm.
- the cross section may also be elliptic, hyperbolic, polygonal or rectangular with rounded corners.
- the racket according to the invention is particularly improved in terms of its Ball guide advantageous.
- vibrations that occur when hitting the Balls are less drained to the handle than known rackets.
- the acceleration capacity, with the bat according to the invention is transferable to the ball, improved.
- the advantageous ones Properties of the racquet of the invention are believed to be thereon due to the fact that the trough-shaped recesses locally Bending resistance of the frame profile is reduced, so that through this Indentations a kind of "joint" ("control point”) arises.
- the effect according to the invention is in particular then particularly advantageous recognizable, if in each case a pair of trough-shaped indentations in the range between 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock, in particular at about 3 o'clock, and another one A pair of trough-shaped indentations between 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock, in particular at about 9 o'clock, is provided, the trough-shaped recesses preferably are arranged opposite and symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the racket.
- the Dents at around 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock are where the ball is playing a lot is hit frequently (based on the clubface), so that the racket by the im
- the area of the recesses caused local reduction of the bending resistance torque of the frame profile virtually "encloses” the ball. This has a longer in particular Dwell time of the ball on the covering of the racket and thus an improved Ball control result.
- the effect of the invention can be further enhanced by in the field of trough-shaped indentations at least one through the frame profile extending opening is provided, which is substantially perpendicular to Stringing level runs.
- the opening extends through the in pairs opposite arranged trough-shaped indentations.
- symmetrical arrangements of two openings thus has each trough-shaped Dent on each hole on, so that in this area the outermost wall of the Frame profile, i. the furthest away from the clothing plane lying part of the wall of the frame profile, is significantly weakened, causing the Bending resistance of the frame profile is further reduced.
- the trough-shaped recesses are preferably during the molding of the Racket formed in the molding press.
- the optional openings will be Preferably after the forming of the racket in the molding press subsequently on Frame trained. However, you can also during the molding process For example, be prepared by inserting a core into the mold. The Subsequent training is preferably carried out by drilling, milling or sawing.
- the cross section of the opening is usually circular in the case of drilling Cylindrical, but can also have any other shape.
- a circular shaped Opening preferably has a diameter in the range between 2 mm and 8 mm, more preferably between 3 mm and 6 mm, on.
- the trained holes are usually the two opposite holes in the Frame profile generated independently, with each of the holes at Viewing direction parallel to the clothing plane preferably substantially bowed or is formed trough-shaped. It is however on any other form for the holes possible.
- the length of each of the holes along the frame is preferably in the Range between 1 mm and 10 mm, more preferably between about 3 mm and 7 mm.
- the depth of each hole is at least the wall thickness of the frame profile.
- the width of the holes i. their dimension towards the side holes or perpendicular to the direction of the frame at the relevant location lies preferably in the range between 3 mm and 7 mm.
- the dimensions of the hole, especially its width and depth, should be chosen so that the hole is not extends to a provided in the frame groove for receiving a headband.
- the openings are preferably provided in pairs substantially symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the racket, i. it can have two, four, six or more openings symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the Racket be provided.
- the at least one opening is preferably in the range between 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock and / or between 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock on the club head. Particularly preferred is the paired arrangement of openings in this area. More preferably, at least one pair of apertures will be at about 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, respectively provided on the club head.
- each Provide side may be advantageous to have multiple openings each Provide side, for example, several openings could be symmetrical about the 3rd Clock or 9 o'clock position or starting from 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock towards the grip section or from 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock towards the free end of the club head be arranged.
- one through opening is centrally or centrally provided by a pair of opposing trough-shaped indentations.
- the opening is an insert, so that the Frame profile is closed inside.
- the insert is tubular with a passage opening formed; However, it can also be provided as a full element be.
- the insert is usually made of an elastic material (e.g., rubber), so that the advantageous effects achieved by the provision of the openings possible be influenced little. It is also possible, the holes forming the opening each cover with a separate lid made of an elastic material, whereby the same effect is achieved.
- the frame profile in the region of the indentations and the reinforce optional openings by providing reinforcing layers.
- reinforcing layers of carbon fiber, glass or aramid fabric and / or a unidirectional prepreg which is at an angle of each ⁇ 45 ° to the longitudinal extent of the frame profile (i.e., helically in the Wall of the frame profile) are arranged.
- the schematic representation of the racket 2 according to the invention shown in FIG includes a dial corresponding to a normal clock for better understanding, wherein the 12 o'clock position (XII) is provided at the outermost free end of the racket.
- the racket 2 has a frame 4 which has a club head 6 and a handle portion 10 preferably connected thereto via a heart region 8 forms.
- the frame 4 is formed from a frame or hollow profile (see FIG. 4).
- the club head defines a clothing plane of the racket. To accommodate the Covering the frame 4 in the region of the club head 6 more in the Substantially in the clothing plane lying through holes 7 (Fig. 3) for Conduction of stringed strings 9, of which in the cross section of FIG. 4 is a schematic illustration.
- the frame profile is generally between about 2 o'clock and 4 Clock, in particular at about 3 o'clock, or between about 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock, in particular at about 9 o'clock, in each case a pair of opposite trough-shaped indentations 12 intended.
- a total of four of the recesses 12 on the invention Racket 2 is formed.
- the frame height in the direction perpendicular to the clothing plane in this area by twice the amount of Depth T of each trough-shaped recess 12 is reduced.
- the depths of the T opposite indentations 12 are preferably dimensioned so that in the area of the indentations gives a frame height h, which is about 60 to 95%, preferably about 70 to 90%, more preferably about 80%, of the frame height H outside the indentations 12 amounts to. Consequently, the racket according to the invention for example, at a frame height H of 20 mm in the region of the opposite Indentations 12 a frame height h of about 16 mm.
- the length L of the trough-shaped indentations lies along the frame typically in the range of 10 mm to 30 mm, preferably 12 mm and 25 mm, and more preferably between 15 mm and 23 mm. It is further preferred the trough-shaped indentation 12 considered in the stringing plane substantially form radii of rays, with radii R in the range between 15 mm and 25 mm are preferred. A radius of about 20 mm is currently particularly preferred.
- the width B of the trough-shaped recess i. their dimension towards the String through holes or perpendicular to the direction of the frame at the respective Position depends essentially on the cross-sectional shape of the frame profile and the Depth T of the recess 12 from.
- the trough-shaped indentations 12 extend however, typically over substantially the entire width of the frame profile.
- the frame height h in the range the opposite indentations 12 is about 15.2 mm, i. about 80% of Frame height H.
- a racket with a frame height H of 28.5 mm results at the same radius for the trough-shaped indentations a trough length L of about 20.6 mm and a bowl depth of about 2.85 mm.
- the remaining frame height h in the region of the indentations 12 is thus about 22.8 mm, which is also a Frame height reduction to 80% of that outside recesses 12 Frame height H corresponds.
- Fig. 2a is a recess 12 on the frame 4 of the racket according to the invention shown closer.
- the racket 2 is further an optional opening 14 in the trough 12 provided, which are substantially perpendicular to the clothing plane or to the Through holes 7 for the stringed strings 9 through the frame profile through the opposite trough 12 extends, preferably centrally through the Hopper.
- the opening 14 is, as shown in Fig. 2b, in the form of a substantially circular cylindrical through hole formed.
- the hole extends through the two opposite walls of the frame profile, so that two opposite, aligned holes are formed in the frame profile.
- Diameter of the opening is preferably in the range between about 2 mm and 8 mm, more preferably between 3 mm and 6 mm.
- an insert 16 is provided, which is the Frame profile to the interior of the opening 14 completes.
- the insert 16 is preferably tubular, i. with a passage opening 18, formed. He can, however, also as Be formed "lid” or solid profile.
- the insert 16 is typically made made of a soft, elastic material so that it has the characteristics of Racket in this area is not significantly affected. Preference is given for this purpose transparent plastic (e.g., rubber).
- the tubular insert 16 has preferably a small wall thickness of e.g. about 0.5 to 1.5 mm, preferably from about 0.5 to 1 mm, on.
- the opening 14 in the frame 4 of the invention To provide racket 2 is instead of a through hole through the Frame profile at the front and back of the frame each individual holes train.
- two opposite holes form together a through the frame profile extending opening 14.
- the holes may have any shape, but are preferably in the direction of view parallel to the clothing plane substantially arcuate or trough-shaped educated. This can be realized for example by milling or sawing.
- the length of the holes along the frame is preferably in the range between 1 mm and 10 mm, more preferably between 3 mm and 7 mm.
- the greatest depth of one Hole corresponds to at least the wall thickness of the frame profile, so that the Frame profile is at least partially completely removed to an opening in the Interior of the frame profile expose.
- the maximum depth of the hole is preferably the depth to a groove 20 (Fig. 4) for receiving a headband 22 (Fig. 3) of the Racket practicable.
- the width of the hole is preferably in the range between 3 mm and 7 mm.
- the opening with a in essential tubular insert or cover whose shape to the shape The hole can be adjusted so that neither dirt nor moisture in the interior of the frame profile can get.
- the trough-shaped recesses 12 are preferred in the molding of the Racket frame 4 formed in the frame profile, for example by providing a corresponding bulge in the form. Furthermore, it may be preferred in the Area of the indentations 12 one or more reinforcing layers in the Provide frame profile forming material. This can for example Carbon fiber material, glass or aramid fabric and / or a unidirectional prepreg at an angle of ⁇ 45 ° to the frame's longitudinal extent (i.e., helically in the wall of the frame profile) in the frame profile forming the racket frame be incorporated. This is preferably done by superimposing the different layers of frame material and reinforcing material and then rolling the superimposed materials into a "tube" that then inserted into the molding press and under the action of temperature and Pressure is pressed to the frame.
- the racket according to the invention is particularly improved in terms of its Ball guidance and the ability to give the ball excellent acceleration advantageous.
- the advantageous properties of the racquet according to the invention are probably due to the fact that through the trough-shaped indentations 12 the bending resistance moment of the frame profile is considerably lower than in Areas of the frame without indentations. This will create a kind of "joint” provided that the particularly advantageous ball guide characteristics of the racket allows.
- Another advantage of the racket according to the invention lies in its improved damping.
- FIGS. 6a and 6b graphically show relative speed values of the racket according to the invention at different frame positions in comparison to conventional rackets.
- the marking on the rack shown diagrammatically on the right in the diagrams according to FIGS. 6a and 6b, indicates the impact position of the ball with respect to the longitudinal axis of the racket passing through the gripping portion. According to FIG.
- the ball hits the clothing of the racket slightly laterally of the longitudinal axis, whereas according to FIG. 6b the ball hits the center of the clothing of the racket.
- the impact positions of the ball are plotted, the scale each begins on the right with zero, that is, at the end of the handle, and the head of the racket towards the distance in millimeters is indicated. This is easily comprehensible on the basis of the racket shown schematically below in FIGS. 6a and 6b.
- FIGS. 6a and 6b respectively represents the relative Speed of a racket according to the invention, which in the figures 6a and 6b denoted by "LM8 ++".
- FIGS. 6a and 6b represent a racket to the state the technology in about the acknowledged in the introduction EP 0 676 222 B1
- this racket faces one opposite the racquet according to the invention significantly reduced relative speed and thus also a comparatively worse acceleration capacity. This applies both for the lateral impact of the ball (Figure 6a) and for the central impact of the ball (Figure 6b) over the entire measuring range along the club head.
- FIGS. 7a and 7b respectively, the contact time or residence time of the ball at the Covering the racket in milliseconds above the racket position, wherein the impact positions of the ball in the same manner as in Figures 6a and 6b and again at 7a Ballauf Hughes if the side of the Longitudinal axis of the racket and measured in Figure 7b central Ballauf Economicspp were.
- the contact time of the invention is Racket (white line) over the entire measuring range above that of a same Bat without indentations (black line) and also almost over the whole Measuring range well above that of the conventional racquet according to the prior Technique according to EP 0 676 222 B1 (gray line), d. H.
- the contact time is at bat according to the invention each longer.
- this characteristic is even more pronounced.
- the Contact time of the ball on the racket according to the invention (white line) very clearly longer than the comparison racket without indentations (black line) and still significantly longer than in the prior art racket according to EP 0 676 222 B1 (gray line).
- This increased residence time or contact time of the ball on the Covering the racket according to the invention leads to a considerably improved Ball guidance, so that not only the acceleration of the ball but also the Accuracy of the racket according to the invention over the prior art is significantly increased.
