Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Druckzylinder zur Aufnahme mehrerer Bilder gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1 sowie ein Verfahren zum Aufbringen mehrerer Bilder auf einen Druckzylinder gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 12.
- In einer Rollenrotationsoffsetdruckmaschine wird eine ein zu druckendes Bild tragende Druckplatte eingefärbt. Das eingefärbte Bild wird auf ein Gummituch und von dort auf eine fortlaufende Materialbahn übertragen. Die Druckmaschine umfasst in der Regel vier Druckwerke, in denen die Materialbahn mit jeweils einer der vier Prozessfarben bedruckt wird. Wenn die Materialbahn die Gummituchzylinder der Druckwerke passiert, nimmt sie auch Feuchtigkeit auf, was zu einer Dehnung der Materialbahn führen kann. Diese Dehnung der Bahn in Axialrichtung der Druckzylinder wird auch als "Breiterdrucken" oder "Fan-out" bezeichnet. Wenn dieses Phänomen auftritt, wird der Druck bzw. werden die Bilder auf der Materialbahn geringfügig breiter, während die Bahn die Druckwerke passiert. Das zweite und die folgenden Druckwerke müssen in Axialrichtung der Zylinder bezüglich der Druckbilder auf der Materialbahn registergenau ausgerichtet sein, so dass z.B. ein Bild in einer zweiten Farbe im zweiten Druckwerk direkt auf ein bereits im ersten Druckwerk gedrucktes Bild gedruckt wird.
- Bei einigen Druckanwendungen werden Plattenzylinder eingesetzt, die mehrere Druckplatten und über ihre Breite hinweg eine Vielzahl von Bildern tragen. Diese Plattenzylinder tragen eine Vielzahl von axial beabstandeten Druckplatten. Zur registergenauen Ausrichtung der einzelnen Druckplatten und zur Korrektur des Fan-out-Effekts können die Druckplatten unabhängig voneinander in Axialrichtung bewegbar sein.
- In der
US 4,207,815 ist ein zwei Druckplatten tragender Plattenzylinder beschrieben. Eine Druckplatte ist an einem Abschnitt mit großem Druckmesser anbringbar, und eine weitere Platte ist auf einer bezüglich des Abschnitts mit großem Durchmesser axial bewegbare, drehbare Hülse anbringbar. Die Hülse ist an einer Stufenwelle befestigt. Zum Einstellen des axialen Registers und des Umfangsregisters der Druckwerke ist ein schrägverzahntes Getriebe vorgesehen. - Die
US 5,383,393 beschreibt eine Mehrfarben-Rotationsoffsetduckmaschine mit mehreren entlang einem Bewegungsweg einer Papierbahn angeordneten Druckabschnitten, mehreren Registereinstellmitteln, einer Papierdehnvorrichtung und einer Vielzahl von Breiteneinstellmitteln. Jeder der Druckabschnitte umfasst weiterhin mindestens einen geteilten Plattenzylinder, dessen Teilabschnitte unabhängig voneinander in Axial- und/oder Umfangsrichtung bewegt werden. Die in der erwähnten Schrift beschriebene Druckmaschine umfasst weiterhin ein Registereinstellmittel, das mit allen geteilten Plattenzylindern in den Druckabschnitten mechanisch verbunden ist, sowie einen Stellmechanismus zum Betätigen der Teilabschnitte in Abhängigkeit von einer Steuerungseinheit, die mit einem Sensor zum Abtasten der in den einzelnen Druckabschnitten auf die Papierbahn gedruckten Linien und Bilder verbunden ist. - Die nachveröffentlichte
DE 101 35 506 beschreibt einen Plattenzylinder zur Aufnahme mehrerer Druckplatten mit unabhängig voneinander registereinstellbaren Mantelelementen. Dabei werden die Druckplatten auf zumindest in axialer Richtung verschiebbaren Mantelelementen angeordnet, welche mittels eines jeweiligen Antriebs in unterschiedliche axiale Positionen verbracht werden können. - Die
DE 101 45 016 beschreibt eine Vorrichtung zur Regulierung des Breiterdruckens (Fan-Out) einer Bahn in einer Druckmaschine mit einem mehrere Bilder tragenden Plattenzylinder. Dabei weist der Druckzylinder einen zentralen Zylinderabschnitt und benachbart angeordnete, zumindest axial verschiebbare Mantelelemente auf. Der Zylinderabschnitt und die Mantelelemente können jedoch nur mit solchen Druckplatten bestückt werden, die in ihrer Breite der jeweiligen Breite des Zylinderabschnitts oder der Mantelelemente angepasst sind. - Es ist eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, einen zur Aufnahme mehrerer Bilder geeigneten Druckzylinder für eine Druckmaschine zu schaffen, der an unterschiedliche Bild- und Bahnformate, d.h. an unterschiedliche Bild- und Bahnbreiten, anpassbar ist.
- Eine weitere oder alternative Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung besteht darin, den Fan-out-Effekt in einer derartigen Druckmaschine zu regulieren und die Registergenauigkeit zu verbessern.
- Eine auch eine weitere oder alternative Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ein Verfahren zu schaffen, welches es ermöglicht, mehrere Bilder auf einem Druckzylinder aufzubringen, wobei die Bilder an unterschiedliche Bild- und Bahnformate, d.h. an unterschiedliche Bildund Bahnbreiten, anpassbar sind.
- Diese Aufgaben werden durch einen Druckzylinder gemäß Anspruch 1 sowie durch ein Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 12 gelöst. Weitere Merkmale der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen enthalten.
- Die hier verwendeten Bezeichnungen "Ring" und "Mantelelement" bezeichnen in dieser Anmeldung im Querschnitt im Wesentlichen kreisrunde oder zumindest abschnittsweise kreisrunde oder kreisbogenförmige Elemente. Vorzugweise sind sowohl der Ring als auch die Mantelelemente als zylinderförmige Elemente ausgebildet, wobei der Ring eine geringere axiale Ausdehnung als die Mantelelemente aufweist. Sowohl Ring als auch Mantelelemente können jedoch auch in Umfangsrichtung in zwei oder mehr separate Abschnitte unterteilt sein.
- Der Begriff "verbunden" ist hier so zu verstehen, dass der Ring neben, benachbart (mit oder ohne Abstand) oder in Kontakt mit einem Mantelelement oder dem Zylinderabschnitt positioniert wird, d. h. in diese Position verschoben, bewegt, verlagert oder verbracht wird.. Ein feste Verbindung ist nicht notwendig, kann jedoch wahlweise vorgesehen sein und eingesetzt werden.
- Zwischen Zylinderabschnitt und den Mantelelementen ist vorzugsweise ein Zwischenabschnitt vorgesehen, der in axialer Richtung breiter als der Ring ist, so dass der Ring im Zwischenabschnitt positioniert und verschoben werden kann.
- Durch den bewegbaren Ring zwischen dem Zylinderabschnitt und dem Mantelelement kann der Zylinder mit Vorteil Bilder unterschiedlicher Breite aufnehmen, während gleichzeitig eine Steuerung des Fan-out-Effekts und eine registergenaue Ausrichtung möglich ist.
- Eine Steuerung kann vorgesehen sein, welche das Mantelelement in Abhängigkeit von der Bahnbreite einstellt.
- Wenn z.B. das erste Bild so schmal ist, dass es vollständig auf den Zylinderabschnitt passt, wird der Ring an das Mantelelement bewegt. Das neben dem ersten Bild angeordnete zweite Bild befindet sich somit sowohl auf der Außenfläche des Rings als auch auf der Außenfläche des Mantelelements. Der Ring und das Mantelelement können nun gemeinsam axial bewegt werden, um eine geeignete Anpassung an den Fan-out-Effekt zu erreichen.
- Wenn das schmale erste Bild durch ein breiteres Bild ersetzt werden soll, wird der Ring an den Zylinderabschnitt bewegt und das breitere Bild auf dem Zylinderabschnitt und dem Ring angeordnet. Ein neben dem breiteren Bild angeordnetes neues Bild befindet sich nur auf dem Mantelelement. Der Zylinderabschnitt und der Ring bleiben zusammen, während das Mantelelement zur Anpassung an den Fan-out-Effekt und zur Einstellung des Abstands zwischen den beiden Bildern bewegt werden kann.
- Zwischen dem Mantelelement und dem Zylinderabschnitt können zusätzliche relativ zum Ring, dem Mantelelement und dem Zylinderabschnitt bewegbare Ringe vorgesehen sein, um die Anpassung an eine größere Vielzahl von Formaten zu ermöglichen.
- Der Zylinderabschnitt ist vorzugsweise in Axialrichtung ortsfest. Er kann beispielhaft auch als Teil des Druckzylinders ausgebildet sein.
- Gegenüber dem Mantelelement auf der anderen Seite des Zylinderabschnitts können ein weiteres Mantelelement sowie ein zusätzlicher Ring angeordnet sein. Dies erlaubt in vorteilhafter Weise das Bedrucken von dreifachbreiten Bahnen bei gleichzeitiger Registerund Fan-out-Steuerung oder -Regelung. Die Registersteuerung kann sowohl das Axialregister als auch das Umfangsregister umfassen. Eine Fan-out-Kompensation ist bei ortsfestem Zylinderabschnitt zu beiden Seiten mittels der beiden Mantelelement und auch der Ringe möglich.
- Gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform können mindestens sechs Bilder auf den Zylinderabschnitt, das Mantelelement und den Ring aufgebracht werden. Auf diese Weise wird eine sechs Bilder breite Druckmaschine geschaffen, die variable Formate verarbeiten kann und eine Anpassung an den Fan-out-Effekt ermöglicht. In Umfangsrichtung kann ein Bild vorgehen sein. Es ist ebenfalls möglich, in Umfangsrichtung zwei oder mehr Bilder vorzusehen. Beispielhaft ist ein Druckzylinder mit 6x2 Bildern einsetzbar (6 in axialer Richtung, 2 in Umfangsrichtung).
- Weiterhin kann vorgesehen sein, dass der Zylinderabschnitt und beide Mantelelemente jeweils zumindest teilweise zwei Bilder tragen.
- Der Zylinder ist vorzugsweise als ein zur Aufnahme von mindestens zwei flachen Druckplatten geeigneter Plattenzylinder ausgebildet. Die Druckplatten definieren dabei die Bilder, das sie außerhalb oder in einer Druckmaschine mit zu druckenden Bilder bebildert wurden.
- Der Zylinderabschnitt, das Mantelelement und der Ring weisen jeweils einen axial verlaufenden Spalt bzw. Kanal mit einem Plattenspannmechanismus auf. Die Plattenspannmechanismen können z.B. hydraulisch gesteuert werden und können z.B. ähnlich dem in der
US 5,284,093 offenbarten Plattenspannmechanismus ausgebildet sein. - Der Zylinderabschnitt, das Mantelelement und der Ring können axial verlaufende Kanäle zur Befestigung von Druckplatten aufweisen, wobei die Druckplatten die Bilder definieren.
- Die axiale Bewegung des Mantelelements und des Rings kann durch ein mechanisches oder hydraulisches Stellglied gesteuert werden. Ein mechanisches Stellglied kann z.B. einen Motor sowie ein seitliches Antriebszahnrad für das Mantelelement und ein seitliches Antriebszahnrad für den Ring umfassen. Vorzugsweise ist ein Abstellzahnrad vorgesehen, welches das Antriebszahnrad des Mantelelements und das Antriebszahnrad des Rings miteinander verbindet. Bei eingerücktem Abstellzahnrad bewegt sich der Ring mit dem Mantelelement, während sich der Ring bei ausgerücktem Abstellzahnrad an dem Zylinderabschnitt bleibt.
- Bei ausgerücktem Abstellzahnrad kann auch eine manuelle Einstellung des Rings erfolgen.
- Das Mantelelement und der Ring haben vorzugsweise einen Querschnitt, der ungefähr einen Teilkreis (z. B Halbkreis) definiert, wobei entsprechende weitere Teilkreise vorgesehen sind, so dass eine durchgehende Außenfläche entsteht, wie es z.B. bei einer Druckmaschine der Fall ist, bei der zwei Bilder über den Umfang des Plattenzylinders angeordnet sind. Es sind jedoch auch vollständig kreisförmige Mantelelemente und Ringe möglich.
- Das Mantelelement und der Ring können z.B. über eine Schwalbenschwanzverbindung mit einem Zylinderkörper verbunden sein, wodurch eine axiale Bewegung ermöglicht, andere Bewegungen jedoch begrenzt werden. Der Zylinderkörper kann z.B. eine Schwalbenschwanznute aufweisen, in die ein schwalbenschwanzförmiger Keil des Mantelelements und des Rings eingefügt werden kann. Die schwalbenschwanzförmigen Keile können kleiner als die Nut ausgebildet sein, so dass ein gewisser Spielraum in der Nut besteht, der eine axiale Bewegung erleichtert. Zur Fixierung der schwalbenschwanzförmigen Keile während des Betriebs kann ein verschiebbarer Keil vorgesehen sein, der den Spielraum ausfüllt. Wenn eine axiale Bewegung ausgeführt werden soll, so kann der verschiebbare Keil gelöst werden, so dass der Spielraum erneut entsteht.
- Ein erfindungsgemäßes Verfahren zum Aufbringen mehrerer Bilder auf einen Druckzylinder, wobei der Druckzylinder einen Zylinderabschnitt und ein zumindest relativ zum Zylinderabschnitt axial bewegliches Mantelelement aufweist und wobei ein erstes Bild zumindest teilweise auf dem Zylinderabschnitt und ein zweites Bild zumindest teilweise auf dem Mantelelement angeordnet wird, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass ein axial beweglicher Ring in einem Zwischenabschnitt zwischen dem Zylinderabschnitt und dem Mantelelement vorgesehen ist, wobei der Zwischenabschnitt breiter als der Ring ist, dass der Ring im Wesentlichen benachbart zum Zylinderabschnitt axial positioniert wird und das erste Bild teilweise auf dem Ring angeordnet wird, oder dass wahlweise der Ring im Wesentlichen benachbart zum Mantelelement axial positioniert wird und das zweite Bild teilweise auf dem Ring angeordnet wird.
- Die Bilder sind vorzugsweise auf flachen Druckplatten angeordnet, wobei die Zylinder vorzugsweise Plattenspannmechanismen zum Festklemmen einer Vorder- und Hinterkante der jeweiligen Druckplatten aufweisen. Es sind jedoch auch hülsenförmige Druckplatten einsetzbar.
- Weitere Merkmale und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der vorliegenden Erfindung werden in der nachfolgenden Beschreibung bevorzugter Ausführungsbeispiele anhand der beigefügten, nachfolgend aufgeführten Zeichnungen näher erläutert.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine Rollenrotationsoffsetdruckmaschine mit einem ersten Druckwerk 5 und einem zweiten Druckwerk 6. Vierfarbdruckmaschinen umfassen in der Regel vier derartiger Druckwerke. Das Druckwerk 6 umfasst einen ersten Plattenzylinder 10, einen ersten Gummituchzylinder 12, einen zweiten Plattenzylinder 20 und einen zweiten Gummituchzylinder 22. - Im ersten Druckwerk 5 wird eine Bahn 2 mit nebeneinander liegenden Bildern in einer ersten Farbe bedruckt, z. B. mit sechs Bildern über die Breite der Bahn. Im zweiten Druckwerk 6 wird eine zweite Farbe über die ersten Bilder gedruckt. Zur Kompensation des Fan-out-Effekts kann das zweite Druckwerk 6 seitlich verstellt werden.
- Eine Steuerungseinheit 200, die z.B. einen Mikroprozessor umfasst, erhält von Sensoren 201, 202 eingehende Informationen, um die Breite der Bahn 2 zu ermitteln. Die Sensoren 201, 202 können den Gummituchzylindern 12, 22 vor- oder nachgeordnet sein. Die Steuerungseinheit 200 kann anschließend auf die nachfolgend beschriebene Weise die Einstellung auf die Bahnbreite durchführen.

Fig. 2 zeigt eine nähere Darstellung des Zylinders 10 zum Bedrucken einer Bahn in ihrer vollen Breite. Der Zylinder 10 umfasst ein erstes Mantelelement 31, einen ersten Ring 32, einen ortsfesten mittleren Zylinderabschnitt 33, einen zweiten Ring 34 und ein zweites Mantelelement 35. Die Mantelelemente 31, 35 und die Ringe 32, 34 sind relativ zu dem mittleren Zylinderabschnitt 33 axial bewegbar. - Das Mantelelement 31 hat eine Breite WS, die Ringe 32, 34 haben eine Breite WR, und der mittlere Abschnitt 33 hat eine Breite WC. Ein Abstand oder Zwischenabschnitt FD zwischen dem Mantelelement 31 und dem Ring 32 ist in Abhängigkeit von der gewünschten Fan-out-Ausgleichswirkung zur Steuerung des Fan-out-Effekts verstellbar.
- In
Fig. 2 wird eine Bahn in ihrer gesamten Breite mit sechs Bildern I1, I2, I3, I4, I5, I6 bedruckt. Das Mantelelement 31 trägt die Bilder I1 und I2, der Ring 32 und ein Teil des mittleren Abschnitts 33 trät das Bild I3, der andere Teil des mittleren Abschnitts 33 und der Ring 34 tragen das Bild I4 und das Mantelelement 35 trägt die Bilder I5, I6. Die Bilder befinden sich vorzugsweise auf flachen Druckplatten, die mittels Plattenspannvorrichtungen an den entsprechenden Zylinderabschnitten 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 befestigt sind. -
Fig. 4 zeigt einen Querschnitt entlang der Linie X-X inFig. 2 . Das Bild I1 befindet sich auf einer Druckplatte 40, die mittels eines durch einen hydraulisch betätigbaren Kolben 53 aktivierbaren Plattenspannmechanismus 50 befestigt ist. Das Mantelelement 31 kann mittels eines inFig. 4 schematisch dargestellten Antriebs 56 bewegt werden. Ein Zinken bzw. Schwalbenschwanz 54 des Mantelelements 31 ist in eine schwalbenschwanzförmige Nut eines Zylinderkörpers 60 des Zylinders 10 einfügbar. Der Zylinderkörper 60 kann mit dem mittleren Zylinderabschnitt 33 (Fig. 2 ) einstückig ausgebildet sein. Ein Freiraum 57 in der schwalbenschwanzförmigen Nut kann von einem Befestigungsmechanismus 55 ausgefüllt werden, der vorzugsweise als ein axial verlaufender, beweglicher Keil ausgebildet ist und das Mantelelement 31 reibschlüssig an dem Zylinderkörper 60 befestigt. - Auf dem Zylinder 10 können in Umfangsrichtung zwei Druckplatten befestigbar sein, wobei in diesem Fall ein entsprechendes Mantelelement 131, eine entsprechende zweite Druckplatte 42 und ein zweiter Befestigungsmechanismus 52 vorgesehen ist, wie in
Fig. 4 gezeigt ist. In einer Druckmaschine mit Plattenzylindern, die in Umfangsrichtung nur ein Druckbild tragen, ist das Mantelelement 31 im Querschnitt im Wesentlichen ringförmig. Druckmaschinen, deren Plattenzylinder in Umfangsrichtung mehr als zwei Bilder tragen, sind ebenfalls denkbar. - Die Ringe 32, 34 und das Mantelelement 35 können ähnlich wie das Mantelelement 31 ausgebildet sein. Bei einer Druckmaschine, deren Plattenzylinder in Umfangsrichtung zwei Druckbilder tragen, können in Umfangsrichtung entsprechende zwei Ringabschnitte bzw. Mantelelemente vorgesehen sein.
- Die Befestigungsmechanismen der Ringe 32, 34, der Mantelelemente 31, 35 und des Zylinderabschnitts 33 können hydraulisch betätigbar sein. Der Antrieb 56 kann das Mantelelement 31 und den Ring 32 unabhängig voneinander axial bewegen. An der gegenüberliegenden Seite kann für den Ring 34 und das Mantelelement 35 ein ähnlicher Antrieb vorgesehen sein.

Fig. 5 zeigt eine weitere Ausführungsform der Erfindung mit einem zusätzlichen Ring. Gezeigt ist eine Detailansicht eines Antriebs 156 für das Mantelelement 31, den Ring 32 und einen zweiten Ring 132. Eine Motorwelle 70 versetzt ein Antriebszahnrad 71 eines Mantelelements in Rotation, wodurch eine drehbar in einer ortsfesten Stütze 79 angeordnete Welle 72 des Mantelelements gedreht wird. Das andere Ende der Welle 72 weist ein Gewinde auf, welches mit einem Gewinde 73 des Mantelelements 31 zusammenwirkt, um bei Drehung der Welle bzw. Spindel 72 eine axiale Bewegung des Mantelelements 31 zu bewirken. In der Stütze 79 sind weiterhin zwei Wellen 86 und 87 gelagert, die mit einem Gewinde 88 des Rings 32 bzw. mit einem Gewinde 89 des Rings 132 zusammenwirken. Ein Abstellzahnrad 75 stellt wahlweise eine Verbindung zwischen den Zahnrädern 71 und 76 her, damit das Mantelelement 31 und der Ring 32 gemeinsam bewegbar sind. Ein Abstellzahnrad 78 verbindet wahlweise die Zahnräder 76 und 77, damit die beiden Ringe 32 und 132 gemeinsam bewegbar sind. Wenn die beiden Abstellzahnräder 75 und 78 ausgerückt sind, sind die Zahnräder 76 und 77 manuell einstellbar. - Die Antriebe 56 und 156 sind durch die in
Fig. 1 gezeigte Steuerungseinheit 200 steuerbar, die auf diese Weise die Position der Ringe 132, 32, 34 in Abhängigkeit von der Bahnbreite einstellen und eine Kompensation des Fan-out-Effekts bewirken kann. - Bei dem in
Fig. 2 gezeigten Zylinder 10 kann auf die Zahnräder 77, 78 und die Welle 87 verzichtet werden, da kein zweiter Ring 132 vorgesehen ist. Der Antrieb 56 kann daher nur zwei ähnlich den Wellen 72 und 86 ausgebildete Wellen umfassen. - Zur Steuerung des Fan-out-Effekts am in
Fig. 2 gezeigten Zylinder 10 bleibt das Abstellzahnrad 75 des Antriebs 56 ausgerückt, da zur Einstellung des Fan-out-Kompensationsabstands FD nur das Mantelelement 31 bewegt werden muss. - Soll eine schmalere Bahn mit schmaleren Bildern bedruckt werden, so können die Druckplatten oder Bilder I1, I2, I3, I4, I5, I6 abgenommen werden. Das Mantelelement 31 kann in Richtung des Rings 32 bewegt werden, und das Abstellzahnrad 75 kann eingerückt werden, so dass der Ring 32 und das Mantelelement 31 gemeinsam bewegbar sind. Wie in
Fig. 3 gezeigt ist, können nun schmalere Bilder I1', I2', I3', I4', I5' und I6' auf den Zylinder 10 aufgebracht werden, wobei das Bild I2' sowohl den Ring 32 als auch einen Teil des Mantelelements 31 überspannt und das Bild I4' sowohl den Ring 34 als auch einen Teil des Mantelelements 35 überspannt. Der Abschnitt B1 des Mantelelements 31 und der Abschnitt B2 des Mantelelements 35 können dabei unbebildert/frei bleiben. Da das Mantelelement 31 und der Ring 32 gemeinsam bewegbar sind, kann der Antrieb 56 den Fan-out-Effekt durch die Erzeugung eines Kompensationsabschnitts FD' kompensieren. - Auf diese Weise wird ein bildtragender Zylinder variabler Breite, d.h. zur Aufnahme von Druckplatten variabler Breite, geschaffen, der außerdem eine Steuerung des Fan-out-Effekts ermöglicht.
- Anstelle des vollständig mechanischen Antriebs 56 kann auch vorgesehen sein, dass das Mantelelement 31 mechanisch und der Ring 32 mittels eines Hydraulikmechanismus axial bewegt werden. Die Mantelelemente und Ringe können in ihrer axialen Position mittels eines bewegbaren Keils im Freiraum einer schwalbenschanzförmigen Nut festgestellt werden.
- Die Breite WS des Mantelelements 31, 35 ist vorzugsweise größer als die Breite WC des Zylinderabschnitts 33 und größer oder gleich der Summe der Breite WC des Zylinderabschnitts 33 und der doppelten Breite WR des Rings 32. In
Fig. 2 gilt WS = WC+2*WR, d.h. die Bahnbreite ist 3*WS (ohne Fan-out). InFig. 3 ist die Bahnbreite 3*WC (ohne Fan-out). - In der in
Fig. 2 gezeigten Ausführungsform kann auch ein einzelner Ring vorgesehen sein, wobei dennoch eine variable Breite gewährleistet ist. In diesem Fall befände sich jedoch der Abschnitt 33 nicht bei allen möglichen Breiten der Bahn 2 in der Mitte der Bahn 2. Wenn jedoch nicht erforderlich ist, dass sich der Abschnitt 33 immer in der Mitte der Bahn befindet, kann die inFig. 2 gezeigte Ausführungsform mit zwei Ringen eine weitere Bahnbreite liefern, die 3*(WC+WR) entspricht. -

- Druckzylinder (10) zur Aufnahme mehrerer zu druckender Bilder (I1-I6, I1'-I6'), mit einem Zylinderabschnitt (33), der einen erstenTeil eines ersten zu druckenden Bilds (I1-I6, I1'-I6') trägt, einem relativ zum Zylinderabschnitt (33) axial bewegbaren Mantelelement (31, 35,131), das einen ersten Teil eines zweiten zu druckenden Bilds (I1-I6, I1'-I6') trägt, wobei der Druckzylinder ein Plattenzylinder ist, und mindestens zwei flache Druckplatten umfasst, wobei jede der Druckplatten eines der ersten und zweiten zu druckenden Bilder definiert,
gekennzeichnet durch
einen zwischen dem Mantelelement (31, 35, 131) und dem Zylinderabschnitt (33) angeordneten Ring (32, 34, 132), der relativ zu dem Mantelelement (31, 35,131) und dem Zylinderabschnitt (33) axial bewegbar ist, wobei der Ring (32, 34,132) einen zweiten Teil des ersten Bilds (I1-I6, I1'-I6') trägt, wenn er mit dem Zylinderabschnitt (33) verbunden ist, und einen zweiten Teil des zweiten Bilds (I1-I6; I1'-I6') trägt, wenn er mit dem Mantelelement (31, 35, 131) verbunden ist. - Zylinder nach Anspruch 1,

wenigstens einen Druckzylinder nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche. - Verwendung des Druckzylinders nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10 in einem Verfahren zum Aufbringen mehrerer Bilder auf einen Druckzylinder, mit folgenden Verfahrensschritten:- Vorsehen eines Zwischenabschnitts zwischen dem Zylinderabschnitt (33) und dem Mantelelement (31, 35, 131), wobei der Zwischenabschnitt breiter als der Ring (32, 34, 132) ist;- Axiales Positionieren des Rings (32, 34, 132) am Zylinderabschnitt (33) und Aufbringen des ersten Teiles des ersten Bilds (I1-I6, I1'-I6') auf dem Ring (32, 34, 132), oder wahlweise- Axiales Positionieren des Rings (32, 34, 132) am Mantelelement (31, 35, 131) und Aufbringen eines Teils des zweiten Bilds (I1-I6, I1'-I6') auf dem Ring (32, 34, 132).
