L'invention vise à permettre une utilisation du transpondeur aussi bien pour l'autorisation d'accès que pour l'autorisation de démarrage/conduite. A cet effet, ce transpondeur portable se place, après l'autorisation d'accès, dans un logement (20) prévu à cet effet à l'intérieur du véhicule, le transpondeur dans son logement (20) entreprend avec l'appareil de commande (10) un dialogue question-réponse relatif à l'autorisation de démarrage/conduite, et si ce dialogue s'avère positif, l'autorisation de démarrage/conduite peut être accordée pour le véhicule.
