- the support (4) can extend more widely beyond the area for mounting the bindings, which can be particularly advantageous insofar as its function is not only that of having to transmit the stresses of the skier on the base but also that of intervening in the distribution of stiffness along the ski.
- Figures 50 to 52 show an embodiment in which the stiffener is of a particular design so as to limit its size and therefore reduce the height of the bindings relative to the snow.
- the stiffener (2) consists of two central sections (24, 25) of useful length L3 at least equal to or greater than the length of the area provided for mounting the fasteners (5).
