  • the load exerted by the punch 20 is uniformly distributed over the entire surface of the base 24 of the punch 20 by means of the cushion 22.
  • the upper frame 31 fits into the lower frame 32 and compresses the ring deformable 36.
  • This ring 36 is deformed and inserted into the space between the internal inclined face 34 of the upper frame 31 and the external face 25c of the belt 25 of the punch 20 which gives an upward movement to the free peripheral part 1b of the blank sheet metal 1.
  • the upper part of the device is reassembled so that the ring 36, the cushion 22, the base 24 of the punch and the upper part 14 of the die return to their initial position as shown in FIG. 7.
  • the number, the distribution, the size and the shape of the ribs 40 formed by the reliefs 29 are determined so as to absorb the excess length corresponding to the variation in length of the fallen edge generated during its production.
