Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mortise lock with an optionally retractable by handle and key actuation via a change latch and a lock cuff accessible and actuable locking element that allows the latch to be locked against the action of a latch spring attacking it in the retracted state.
  • Mortise locks with latch locking of the above type are known from the BKS brochure 820, page 904. They are particularly installed in front doors or apartment entrance doors, which are usually only equipped with a handle on the inside, while a fixed knob is installed on the outside. To open such doors from the outside, a key must always be used to pull the lock latch over the change and thus open the door. At special times, for example when moving house, you want to be able to open the door without having to use the key from the outside every time. In such cases, the trap detection in the castle is intended. In the known generic mortise lock, the lock latch is pushed in for latch detection and then a slide arranged in the lock faceplate is displaced, as a result of which the latch is pushed in State is locked.
  • the lock latch can be released again by actuating this slide in the opposite direction. Since the cuff-side slide is accessible to everyone when the door is open, even unauthorized persons can find the latch when it is pushed in. This would not even be particularly noticeable with front doors that are equipped with a door closer, since the door closer always keeps the door in the closed position. A door manipulated in this way by unauthorized persons could then be opened from the outside without a key.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a mortise lock with lock detection of the type mentioned, which does not have the disadvantages mentioned above, rather the lock latch in the retracted state only possible by the authorized key holder, but no additional such as to be arranged in the lock faceplate Lock cylinder is to be used, but to do this the key insertion opening already present in the mortise lock, usually in its built-in lock cylinder.
  • a generic mortise lock in that the latch can be pulled in by an overstroke dimension by the key-actuated change more than by its lever actuation and the locking element in the corresponding overstroke movement range of the latch and the change can be brought into locking engagement with the latter.
  • the change in order to be able to lock the latch in such a mortise lock, the change must first be adjusted or raised by key actuation to such an extent that it can then be actuated by the locking element which can be actuated on the cuff its locking engagement occurs with the change. It must be ensured that the latch cannot be pulled in as much as by key actuation of the change, because otherwise the change could also be brought into locking engagement with the locking element simply by pressing the latch sufficiently.
  • the locking engagement between the locking element and the change can be designed to be non-positive, whereby this locking engagement can be maintained by the pressure of the latch spring imparted on the latch by the latch or can be released by further pushing the latch.
  • the trap detection can still be solved by anyone, including unauthorized persons.
  • the locking engagement between the locking element and the change can also be designed in a positive manner, in which case this positive engagement can only be canceled by moving the change by key.
  • the locking element is advantageously under the action of a return spring that tries to press it into its release position. It is designed in particular as a locking lever which is pivotably mounted about an axle bolt located close below the trap, the restoring spring acting on it being designed as a leg spring wound around the axle bolt.
  • the latter can advantageously consist of a change lever that engages the latch to pivot about an axle bolt located near the follower, and an alternately connected pressure piece that can be raised by key actuation and that is in the vicinity of its connecting joint to the change lever with an obliquely downward Locking lug is provided, over which, in the position of the alternating pressure piece raised by key actuation, the locking lever is to be pivoted with a locking opening provided on it, the contact pressure caused by the latch spring on the lower edge of the locking opening in the locking lever being greater than its stripping force caused by its leg spring .
  • To release the latch it is only necessary here to push the latch a little further so that the change is relieved of the latch spring force and thus the locking lever is pivoted into the release position under the action of the leg spring acting on it.
  • the change consists of one that engages the latch, in the follower nut next to it Trap driver arm rotatably mounted two-armed change lever and an alternating pressure piece which is articulated to the arm not engaging the latch and which can be raised by key actuation, at the articulated end of which there is a graduated locking bend, behind the graduation shoulder of which in the position of the alternating pressure piece raised by key actuation, the locking lever with it swivel in the existing locking edge.
  • the mortise lock shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 the lock case 1 of which is exposed through the largely removed lock cover 2, has a trap 5 which can be pulled in through the press nut 3 and its latch driver arm 4, which, under the action of the attacking it and moving it into the position shown in FIG .1 shown extended position to press looking trap spring 6 stands.
  • the lever retaining spring 8 engages via the chain spring piece 7. With 9 the latch guide in the lock case is designated.
  • the lock 10 includes the bolt 10 which, through the closing thumb, is arranged in the opposite one in the lock case 1 and in the lock cover 2 plug openings 11 built in and can be extended and retracted in several revolutions, for example by a profile locking cylinder held in the screw guide 12, not shown.
  • the tumblers 13 and 14 cooperating with the bolt 10 are of a known nature and also the arrangement of the tour pin 15.
  • the two-part design namely the change lever 16 and the change pressure piece 17, is arranged via which the case 5 can also be retracted by key actuation of the locking cylinder (not shown) inserted into the insertion opening 11.
  • the change lever 16 is pivotally mounted on an axle pin 18 located near the trigger nut 3.
  • the free end 16 'of the change lever 16 engages an existing on the catch 5 driver projection 5', while the change lever 16 is articulated at its other end via the hinge pin 19 with the alternating pressure piece 17.
  • a locking opening 23 is provided on the locking lever 21, specifically in its angled portion 21 ', which interacts with the locking nose 17' on the alternating pressure piece 17, which runs obliquely downwards in a manner to be explained in more detail below.
  • the latch 5 can only be drawn in by the handle nut arm 4 until the arm 4 comes to rest against the stop 24 present on the lock case 1.
  • the catch 5 can be pulled in even further by the alternating pressure piece 17 to be lifted via the appropriate cylinder key and the change lever 16 to be pivoted thereby, namely by the overtravel dimension 25.
  • the locking lever 21 can be pivoted inward by pressure actuation of its finger actuating bolt 28 protruding through the passage opening 26 in the lock face 27, the locking opening 23 of the locking lever 21 engaging over the locking lug 17 'of the alternating pressure piece 17.
  • the latch 5 can be pulled in by a key-operated lifting of the change pressure piece 30 by an overtravel dimension than by the latch driver arm 4 seated on the follower nut 3.
  • this is due to the fact that an arcuate stop recess is located on the catch arm 32 'of the two-armed change lever 32 32 IV is provided, which interacts with the stop bolt 34 provided on the lock case, in the sense that the drive arm 32 'on the change lever 32' can be pivoted correspondingly further clockwise than the latch driver arm 4 on the follower 3.
  • a locking lever 21 which is pivotably mounted on the axle bolt 20 located below the latch 5 and is provided with a finger actuation button 28.
  • this can be brought into positive locking engagement in accordance with FIG. with a sufficiently far raised pressure piece 30 or retracted case 5.
  • This positive locking engagement is essentially brought about by the fact that a graduated locking bend 30 'is present at the top of the change pressure piece 30, behind whose graduation shoulder 30' 'in the position of the change pressure piece 30 raised by key actuation Locking lever 21 with a locking edge 21 '' on it is to be pivoted in, this locking edge 21 '' engaging behind the shoulder 30 '' of the alternating pressure piece 30, at least when the alternating pressure piece 30 is raised and the locking lever 21 by finger actuation according to FIG its pressure bolt 28 have been pivoted accordingly.
  • the locking lever to be brought into locking engagement with the exchangeable 40 pressure piece 17 or 30 21 can also be actuated in a different way than by the finger actuation bolt 28 attached to it, for example by a slide mounted in the lock faceplate or also by a rotary adjustment member mounted in the lock faceplate, in particular provided with an actuation slot.
  • the locking lever 21 can also be actuated via a profiled opening in the lock face plate 27 and a correspondingly profiled actuation key to be inserted therein.
  • the mortise lock can also be actuated simply by means of a tumbler key, that is to say by means of keys which are provided with a corresponding notch in the otherwise profiled key bit.
