Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung mit einem Tiegel (4), in dem sich ein Metall oder eine Metall-Legierung befindet, wobei dem Metall bzw. der Metall-Legierung eine induktive Leistungsdichte zugeführt wird, die orts­ abhängig ist. Bei dem Tiegel (4) handelt es sich vorzugsweise um einen gekühlten Tiegel (4) mit Schlitzen (12, 13) im Umfang, der von einer Spule (2) umgeben ist. Der Strahlungsdruck, der auf das Metall oder die Metall-­ Legierung durch das Magnetfeld der Spule (2) ausgeübt wird, ist bei­ spielsweise in der Weise ortsabhängig, daß er dem hydrostatischen Druck des geschmolzenen Metalls oder der geschmolzenen Metall-Legierung ent­ spricht.
